Brainstorming With Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs

Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs paid me a high compliment yesterday. She allowed me to help her redesign and rework the banner on her blog. I gave the banner a more interesting colored background, not flat black like the original; redid the sun's rays and removed the text from the banner at Pam's request.

We went through several permutations. What font should we use? What color? Should the font have a white outline around it? Should we replace the original graphic of the New York skyline with a world globe in front of it?

I reworked and sent a half dozen or so versions until Pam was pleased with it. The final result is up and running at Atlas Shrugs this morning. In the end, Pamela decided she liked the original font and color; I just made it larger. She also requested her name above the title in a small font, so I added that as well.

The original banner that we replaced is immediately below, followed by others that didn't make the cut (click on image to see full size).

You can see the final banner that Pamela chose at AtlasShrugs. In the end, Pamela decided to stay close to the original design.
