For Obama, the Bad News Just Keeps on Coming

The aftereffects of the last presidential debate are becoming fully felt.  That spells continuing bad news for Barack Obama.  Right now the Obama team must feel like Captain Smith after the Titanic's chief engineer told him the ship will sink in two hours.

Drudge reports:

Andrew Sullivan, liberal pundit and Obama supporter writes:
The Pew poll is devastating, just devastating. Before the debate, Obama had a 51 - 43 lead; now, Romney has a 49 - 45 lead. That's a simply unprecedented reversal for a candidate in October. Before Obama had leads on every policy issue and personal characteristic; now Romney leads in almost all of them. Obama's performance gave Romney a 12 point swing! I repeat: a 12 point swing.
Romney's favorables are above Obama's now. Yes, you read that right. Romney's favorables are higher than Obama's right now. That gender gap that was Obama's firewall? Over in one night...

  1. And the latest news is Barry plans to bring his snarky Unknown Comic stump act to the next debate. Therefore I'm calling it a stone-cold knockout in the second round for Romney.

  2. Can anyone say MOMENTUM FOR ROMNEY? I get the sense his campaign is building up a head of steam that will be hard for Obama and his cast of clowns to stop.

  3. LD, I was hoping that this would happen -- that sometime in October, Obama's dam would break and people would wake up en mass and throw him out. We're not to November 6 yet, but I am greatly encouraged.

  4. Liberty, I can't imagine Obama coming back and winning the second debate. He may do slightly better and then be declared the winner by the media, or he may do even worse. Supposedly, he is going to be "tough" this time, using sound bites and "zingers" -- oh yeah, that'll do the trick. Or not.

  5. Meanwhile, Obama is marginalizing himself by yapping about Big Bird.

You can't make this stuff up!

  6. The only way for Comrade President to come out on top is if the straw man his campaign has constructed shows up instead of Romney.
