Donald Douglas, a friend of mine, seems very upset these days by a blogger named Walter James Casper III, who also goes by the pseudonym Respac3 and blogs at American Nihilist.
Donald seems exasperated, outraged and frantic over Casper's critical comments of Donald and his blog, American Power. I can see why he might be upset...Casper's blog seems to be one continuous rant against Donald Douglas. Casper seems obsessed with Donald, and is in fact, cyber-stalking him. Casper rarely writes about anything but Donald Douglas.
Donald is now adamantly claiming that he will get the FBI involved to get Casper to cease his online harrassment, quoting federal laws governing the internet.
One thing is apparent. Casper has won.
Donald has allowed this individual to get under his skin in a very big way. All Casper has to do now is make any small remark and Donald has a mental breakdown...or so it seems.
Donald, there is much truth to the saying "Don't feed the trolls." You have been serving Casper a 16 oz steak on a daily basis. You have rewarded his efforts. Stop commenting about Respac3 aka Walter James Casper III. Stop reacting to him. Stop referring to him as "hate blogger Walter James Casper III." Is he a hate blogger? Who knows? Who cares, but why give him such a fearsome reputation?
Frankly, I never heard of WJC III or his pseudonym, Respac3, until I read about them at American Power. So stop advertising for him, Donald.
And puh-leeze, don't use the Confederate flag to symbolize racial hatred. That flag is a sacred heritage symbol to many, me included.
While our reasons are different, I hope he does what you suggest, Stogie... I really do...
ReplyDeleteThese blogger "flame wars" are juvenile to the nth degree.
ReplyDeleteI was shocked to see the length of the post he did about this geek. Wow! Wouldn't you think Donald would be too busy for all that?
You nailed it Stogie.
Thanks for commenting, Walter. Didn't you and I have a conversation about music some time back? You seemed okay to me. You write well.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne, I agree. That's one reason I have hidden the identity of "Lucy" in my previous post. I needed to get it off my chest, but I did not desire to start a blog war.
We did, sir... You had posted a few videos of a band you were playin' in, and I was pretty impressed all around (though I seem to recall it was the guy on keys (and flute? or sax? both?) that really caught my ear...)
ReplyDeleteI hope that's still a going concern...
Well color me stupid!! Duh! Put the whole Lucy thing together.
ReplyDeleteThere is a blog war between two individuals going on at one thread at my web site.
ReplyDeleteI don't let it bother me -- although, this morning, I commented that I'd like some toning down of Profanitese.
Just a quick thanks... While I didn't exactly take the meaning you intended, I heard what you was sayin', and it made sense...
ReplyDeleteThis "geek" is throwin' in the towel: Donald Kent Douglas Wins The Internet!!

wv: bardleri - not quite trusting that Shakespeare guy...
they have been at each other's throats for ages, stogie. and the professor is not the first to be the subject of repsac's posts.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Griper, that repsac guy just stinks, dud'ne?
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm sure there must be some truth to that, Gripe, what happened in this case was different... Only speakin' about myself here, I kinda lost sight of the difference between arguing the point and arguing the man somewhere along the way... ...and I'm trying to fix it.
So, you can certainly pile on and denounce my bad behavior in this situation if you choose (I don't disagree, even.), but there was more to it than one blogger quoting another's post and debating ideas, which is pretty common all throughout the political blogosphere (and what happened betwixt you and I a few times, as I recall.) It became a "him against me" personal grudge match, which isn't so common--not even in my blogging about or even opposing others, including you, Griper--and I'm trying to jump on the wagon and not do that no more...
I can't undo the past... I can only go forward from here...
