Brett Kimberlin Montage: He Is Many Things To Many People (Photoshop)

I made this Photoshop montage of images of the fascinating career of Brett Kimberlin. I release this image into the public domain; use it as you see fit.

The Sickening Reality of the Obamacare Decision

I really wasn't surprised by the Supreme Court's decision on Obamacare.  I generally expect the worst while hoping for the best.  When I turned on the radio Thursday morning on the way to work, and learned of Justice John Roberts' utterly asinine position, it was mere confirmation of what I already knew:  America is over.  America was over when Americans elected Barack Obama to be President of the United States.

Now that we can finally acknowledge the death of America, perhaps we can move on to finding a way to resurrect her, or, if not all of her, perhaps part of her, through an association or even secession of like-minded states (like Arizona and Texas).  I know it sounds bizarre, like something out of a cheap novel, but it's way past time to realize that the federal government (including and especially the Supreme Court) is the enemy of freedom -- at least in its present form.

It's time to realize that our Constitution and Bill of Rights are dead letters.  The statists will enforce them when convenient, or when they can twist their original meaning and purpose to somehow increase federal power over the individual.  They will not enforce them merely to protect the individual from an overweening federal government.

One of the immediate acts that can be taken is nullification.  Nullification is when individual states refuse to implement or obey federal laws that violate the Constitution.  This is not "rebellion against law," because unconstitutional enactments are not law.  Thomas Jefferson wrote in the Kentucky Resolutions that “whensoever the [federal] government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force…”

Let the peaceful revolution begin.

Fifteen Reasons Why The Obamacare Decision Is A Mind Blowing Disaster For America

Guest Post by Michael Snyder

You can almost always count on the Supreme Court to do the wrong thing. In fact, just about every major decision by the U.S. Supreme Court over the last 40 years has been bad for America. Many were hoping that the Supreme Court would strike down Obamacare, but the truth is that we all should have known better than to expect them to get something right. So now America is headed for a complete and total disaster as Obamacare is fully implemented over the next several years. Obamacare is going to absolutely shred the infrastructure of our medical system, it is going to send health insurance premiums soaring, it is going to dramatically expand the size and the scope of government, it is going to fundamentally alter the relationships between doctors and their patients and it is one of the largest tax increases in U.S. history. Not only that, it is also going to add about a trillion dollars to our national debt over the next decade. So no, the Obamacare decision is not good news. Obamacare was one of the worst pieces of legislation in American history, and now we are stuck with it.

It was a 5-4 decision to uphold Obamacare, and the swing vote was Chief Justice John Roberts who was appointed by George W. Bush.

After the vote today, it is hard to have any faith in the U.S. Supreme Court. Many constitutional conservatives kept voting for Republicans in the hope that the direction of the Supreme Court would change, but it hasn't.

Prior to the Obama administration, Republicans controlled the White House for 20 out of 28 years. If Republicans were going to fundamentally change the nature of the Supreme Court, that was their opportunity.

But it didn't happen.

Instead, what we have is a Supreme Court that is dominated by judges that have very little respect for the U.S. Constitution. When I was in law school I got to study the Supreme Court pretty closely and I quickly realized that most of the time they simply do whatever they want to do and they make up whatever reasons they can to justify their decisions.

That sounds really bad, but that is the truth.

And thanks to the Supreme Court, we are stuck with Obamacare - at least for now.

The following are 15 reasons why the Obamacare decision is a mind blowing disaster for America....

#1 According to the U.S. Supreme Court, the federal government has the power to force you to buy private goods and services. Now that this door has been opened, what else will we be forced to buy in the future?

#2 Obamacare is another step away from individual liberty and another step toward a "nanny state" where the government dominates our lives from the cradle to the grave.

#3 The IRS is now going to be given the task of hunting down and penalizing millions of Americans that do not have any health insurance. In fact, the Obama administration has given the IRS 500 million extra dollars "outside the normal appropriations process" to help them enforce the provisions of Obamacare that they are in charge of overseeing.

#4 Obamacare imposes more than 20 new taxes on the American people. You can find a comprehensive list of Obamacare taxes right here. If you love paying higher taxes, then you are going to absolutely love Obamacare once it is fully implemented.

#5 In an attempt to "control costs" and "promote efficiency", Obamacare limits the treatment options that doctors and patients can consider. This is likely to result in a decrease in life expectancy in the United States.

#6 Obamacare is going to impose nightmarish paperwork burdens on doctors, hospitals and the rest of the healthcare system. This is going to significantly increase our healthcare costs as a nation.

#7 Obamacare is going to send health insurance premiums soaring. This is especially true for younger Americans.

#8 Many small businesses are going to be absolutely crushed by the provisions in Obamacare that require them to provide expensive health insurance coverage for their employees. This is going to make them even less competitive with companies in other countries where businesses are not required to provide healthcare for their workers. This is also going to make it even less attractive for businesses to hire new employees.

#9 Obamacare is going to make the emerging doctor shortage in America a lot worse. Surveys have found that we could potentially see hundreds of thousands of doctors leave the medical profession because of Obamacare.

#10 Obamacare has already forced the cancellation of dozens of doctor-owned hospitals.

#11 Obamacare is going to result in a much bigger federal government. In order to fully implement all of the provisions of Obamacare, hordes of new government bureaucrats will be required.

#12 Thanks to Obamacare, you are going to have to wait much longer to see a doctor. Just look at what happened once Romneycare was implemented in Massachusetts....

In fact, we have already seen the start of this process in Massachusetts, where Mitt Romney’s health care reforms were nearly identical to President Obama’s. Romney’s reforms increased the demand for health care but did nothing to expand the supply of physicians. In fact, by cracking down on insurance premiums, Massachusetts pushed insurers to reduce their payments to providers, making it less worthwhile for doctors to expand their practices. As a result, the average wait to get an appointment with a doctor grew from 33 days to over 55 days.

#13 Obamacare contains all kinds of insidious little provisions that most people don't even know about. The following is one example from the Alliance Defense Fund....

"Did you know that with ObamaCare you will have to pay for life-saving drugs, but life-ending drugs are free. One hundred percent free. If this plan were really about health care wouldn't it be the other way around?"

#14 As if the U.S. government was not facing enough of a crisis with entitlement spending, it is being projected that Obamacare will add 16 million more Americans to the Medicaid rolls. You and I will be paying for all of this.

#15 The Congressional Budget Office estimates that Obamacare will add more than a trillion dollars to government spending over the next decade. Considering the fact that the U.S. government is already drowning in debt, how in the world can we afford this?

"Who Is Neal Rauhauser?" The Washington Times Wants to Know

Peter Bella of the Washington Times writes:
[Neal] Rauhauser is a master of black operations and political dirty tricks, especially political cyber warfare. Like Kimberlin, he uses lawfare, abusing the legal system to get revenge on his perceived enemies. Like Brett Kimberlin, Rauhauser’s enemies are people who try to expose him, have an opposing political point of view, or disagree with him.
Neal Rauhauser is a scary fellow.  Read it all here.

Who Is "The Gaped Crusader"?

Some people think they know.......

By the way, here is a screenshot of Webster's online definition of "Gaped":

This definition does indeed fit the description of Neal Rauhauser.  That's proof enough for me!

Crazies Try to Frame Patterico, SWAT Walker

Patterico received a comment on his blog that seemed to support direct or even violent action against Kimberlin and his Krazies.  Then, woe and behold, Patterico himself commented (on his own blog) saying that, oh yeah, that's a good idea and let's go one step further, etc.

However, both comments were from the same person (not Patterico), as both had the same IP address.  The obvious purpose of the comments was to provide something for Kimberlin to screenshot before Patterico could take it down.  Now Kimberlin has some great material for framing Patterico!  But no, he doesn't, because of the IP addresses that prove the comments were fraudulent, a transparent attempt to frame Patterico as one supporting "violence" against Krazy Kimberlin.

Lots of really nasty tactics from these creeps.  A day or so after Aaron Walker won his motion against Brett Kimberlin, Walker was SWATed, i.e., someone made a false call to the police pretending to be Walker, saying that he had shot his wife (the usual SWATing story).  Two cops showed up at Walker's house with weapons in hand.

It's only a matter of time.  Our blogger leaders will get these creeps, and they will do it ethically and legally, working through law enforcement and the courts.

To the SWATer punks, to the "Gaped Crusader," to the lawfare louses, we on the right are not backing down.  With any luck and a little justice, there will a nice small prison cell in your future.

"Citizen K" -- Mark Singer's Book on the Criminal Career of Brett Kimberlin

Today I received in the mail the book "Citizen K:  The Deeply Weird American Journey of Brett Kimberlin."

In light of Kimberlin's recent mention in the news and the blogosphere, I wanted to know more about this man:  who he is and what he's done.  The book is fascinating.  I have already read the first 22 chapters.

Kimberlin was a major supplier of marijuana to drug dealers in the late 1970's.  He flew in tons of the stuff from Columbia on cargo planes.  He had an extensive drug-dealing network and made hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions.  He was often flush with cash.

Two questions about Kimberlin's past are of greatest interest to me.  They are:

(1) What part did he play, if any, in the professional hit of Julia Scyphers, and
(2)  Was he guilty of being the "Speedway Bomber," the party who set eight bombs in the Indiana suburb of Indianapolis, in 1978?  Kimberlin has always strenuously and angrily denied any part in the bombings.

The book gives compelling reasons to believe that he may have been involved in both crimes.  The first, the murder of Mrs. Scyphers, is not as clear.  She was the grandmother of Jessica Barton, a young teenager and daughter of a close friend of  Kimberlin.  Kimberlin was was obviously quite smitten with Jessica, taking her for one week vacations to places like Hawaii, just the two of them.  Disturbed by Kimberlin's  undue interest in her minor granddaughter, Mrs. Scyphers tried to stop the relationship.  That is the only known motive by anyone for executing this church-going grandma who had no enemies.  The hit man was not Brett Kimberlin; he was seen by Fred Scyphers, husband of Julia, as he drove up to their house, and again as he was hurriedly backing out of their driveway following the hit.  Fred later identified the man in police mugshots, said he was convinced that it was the same man -- an associate of Kimberlin -- but Fred died of a heart attack before he could testify.  The mugshot man had an alibi and was never charged for the crime, which remains unsolved.

The evidence for Kimberlin being the Speedway Bomber is much more compelling.  I'll get into that in a later post.

Mark Singer, the author of the book, had many hours of interviews with Brett Kimberlin, his family and acquaintances.  Singer is no conservative.  He's a liberal and a friend of leftist cartoonist Garry Trudeau.  His writing is quite good and the book is a page-turner.

The book is no longer in print.  I had to buy a used copy from a third party associate of Amazon.

Skirmish on the Right: Bloggers Disagree Over Conservatives With Criminal Pasts

This past week various bloggers on the right got into a snit fit over conservatives with a past.  The bloggers in question are Ali Akbar and Paul Lemmen.

Akbar had an unfortunate brush with the law, a youthful indiscretion, perhaps.  His mistake was not repeated.  Paul Lemmen, on the other hand, was a serious criminal who spent time in the joint.  He is currently out on parole and, apparently, trying hard to walk the straight and narrow.  Paul has blogged on the Kimberlin controversy and is a skilled writer.  However, there are those who would refuse to offer him fellowship based on his past.  A blogger named Ann Barnhardt takes that position.

Zilla of the Resistance appears willing to give Lemmen a chance and has refused to blacklist him from the society and brotherhood of conservative bloggers.  I agree with Zilla.  He deserves a chance.

I won't blacklist Akbar either, for the same reason.

What I won't do is tempt my blogger bros by putting them in charge of the treasury or even my own bank account, depleted as it is.  Neither would I put a recovering alcoholic in charge of a barn full of (filled) beer barrels.  That's just common sense.  Not right away, anyway.  I'd have to really get to know them and be sure they have the iron will to resist temptation.

Everyone deserves a chance to come back, to make amends, to rejoin society as a recovered miscreant.  However, it pays to be careful and even dealing with someone with a disturbing past.  And as Ann Barnhardt points out, Paul's past is very disturbing.  Nevertheless, I will give him a chance and add him to my blog list.

The reason why these two gentlemen are different from Brett Kimberlin is that Kimberlin seems to have learned little from his criminal past.  Kimberlin's ruthless lawfare episodes, his failed attempt to frame Aaron Walker for assault, his veiled threats to McCain and other bloggers, reveals Kimberlin as a man with no moral compass, no sense of right or wrong, no code of ethics.  The end justifies the means, and that makes him a perfect political activist for the left.

Stogie Gets Last Laugh on Steve Benson

Steve Benson is a leftist cartoonist for the Arizona Republic.  A while back he really annoyed me by posting a cartoon of Sarah Palin with a revolver for a mouth.  He was perpetuating the Democrat constructed myth that Jared Loughner was inspired by Palin's "target map" into shooting Gabrielle Giffords. If Loughner was inspired by anything to do the deed, it was from the prevalent Democrat propaganda about the campaign map (including statements by Giffords herself), not the map itself.

In any case, I answered Benson with a cartoon of my own, depicting him with vampire teeth and a serpent's tongue.  He later contacted me about my depiction and we had it out.  See the cartoon and our exchange here.

Tonight I see several hits on that post, so I googled Steve Benson's name to see that he was okay.  I was afraid that maybe he came to some misfortune, causing people to google his name and finding a link to my post.  (Steve can be a nice guy, and I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to him.  Well, maybe getting fired, but that's not going to happen.  No not even getting fired.  I believe in free speech, even for those who disagree with me.)

There was nothing bad about Benson in the news, to my relief.  However, I was amused to see that Google's illustration of who he is (above, left), was accompanied by my cartoon depiction of him, not a serious image.  I imagine this was just a mistake on Google's part.  In any case, I get the last laugh, Steve Benson!

Maggie's New Banner (at Maggie's Notebook): Guess Who Made It?

I made it!

With a little help from Maggie's fertile imagination, that is.  She proposed the silhouette of a young woman who resembles her in profile, and I added that.  Also, I thought her colors were a bit too tame and needed to be more vibrant.  Also, the previous Liberty Bell was also too tame.  I added one in color, with its brassy shine.  Brassy like Maggie!  I also, at her request, modernized the bell a bit.  She likes blue and brown, so I added a blue border around the banner.

I tried several icons but she didn't like any of them.  Finally, realizing that simple themes are best, I added an open notebook with a red quill pen laying on top of it.  She liked it, and my plans to commit hari kiri were averted.

Blog banners are very personal and it sometimes takes a while to get into the blogger's head and see what inspires them.  Knowing what you want is the hardest part.  Sometimes you have to think about it and let your subconscious dredge it up.

As for my own blog banner, this wouldn't work.  No one wants to see an angry troll smoking a cigar on his way to taking a nap.  So I created the alternate banner for my site you see above.

See Maggie's new banner here.

Neal Rauhauser Keeps Good Company on the 40th Anniversary of "Deliverance" (Photoshop, Video, Satire)

Neal Rauhauser as Cast Member in "Deliverance"
The Other McCain posted a picture of Neal Rauhauser, Democrat consultant and ally of Brett Kimberlin.  I saw the photo and it immediately reminded me of the movie "Deliverance."  Rauhauser looked to me like one of the gang who welcome four fishermen in the woods for fun and games.

Strangely enough, another commenter had also thought the very same thing, and noted that we are fast approaching the 40th anniversary of the film "Deliverance," starring Burt Reynolds, Jon Voight, Ned Beatty and Ronny Cox as the fishermen.  The foursome venture too far into the backwoods of Georgia where they are accosted by three twisted hillbillies of the homosexual persuasion.

So, in honor of the film and of Neal Rauhauser and the company he keeps, I downloaded the photo and Photoshopped Neal as one of the hillbillies.  This is not to insinuate Neal is gay, only to insinuate that he is a twisted hillbilly who keeps bad company.  I am still hoping he will go back on his meds and become a normal human being.

The "Deliverance" theme song would be an appropriate accompaniment, possibly for use by the nonprofit "Justice Through Music," one of the Kimberlin associated nonprofits for leftist indoctrination.

Here is a scene from the film, where one of the fishermen strikes up a duet with a hillbilly boy (the product of incestuous relationships among the hill folk), playing his guitar in accompaniment to the boy's banjo.  The result is a rousing battle of strings known as "Dueling Banjos."  This could be Neal Rauhauser's theme song.

"The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch: A Dying Man Tells Us How to Live

Randy Pausch
Last night a book on my wife's nightstand caught my eye.  It was "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch.  Intrigued, I picked it and started reading.  I finished it this morning.

Randy Pausch was a professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University.  He specialized in computer graphics and virtual reality.  Many of his graduated students went on to work in 3D animation and computer graphics; one went to work for George Lucas (and was heavily involved in the graphics for Star Wars episodes) and others for Walt Disney's Imagineers.  Still other students made various and important contributions to the science of computer graphics, including the free program "Alice," which is used to teach the programming needed for 3D animations.  (You can download it for free here.)

Randy taught his students to create visual worlds of imagination.  This really echoed with my recent posts on how I like to create imaginary scenes with Photoshop.  Some of my Photoshops have yielded new or improved banners for bloggers.  My work, of course, is like a kindergartner's efforts compared to the digital output of Pausch's students.  However, Pausch's message works for me too, which is to realize as many of your childhood dreams as you can.  As a child I loved to draw, and today computer graphics is my favorite medium for artistic expression.

In Randy's 47th year of life he was diagnosed with incurable pancreatic cancer.  He was given six months to live.  This was a terrible blow to him and his young family.  Realizing that he would not live to see his three children grow up, Randy created videos and wrote letters to his children to read in later life, when he was gone.  He wanted his children to know who their father was, to have memories of him, and to know how much he loved them.

Randy wanted to give one "Last Lecture" to students and faculty of Carnegie Mellon, so he did -- giving a 70 minute lecture on life, what his life and friends and family meant to him, what he had learned from life, and what wisdom he wanted to pass on to others before he left this world.  The lecture was filmed and is available on the web for anyone who wants to watch it.

Randy also wrote the book, "The Last Lecture," making many of the same points of his last speech, telling about his life from childhood on, and his relationship with his wife, Jai.  He writes well and his book was compelling -- I devoured it.  Far from being a downer,  the book is filled with optimism and humor.  I finished the book feeling up, positive and with a greater appreciation for life and its possibilities.  The book became a national best seller and I highly recommend it.

Randy faced his death with courage, class and dignity.  He died of his disease on July 25, 2008.

Randy has a website here.  You can watch videos of Randy here, including "the Last Lecture."

Photoshop Fantasies -- Ben Franklin's Desk

This past week I have been trying to help bloggers improve their blog banners.  In the process, I have gathered a lot of icons from the web.  In this graphic below, I combined an antique 18th century writing table with some old books, a quill pen, a notebook, a candle in a brass candlestick, and an 18th century painting of a young woman.  I nixed the 18th century wallpaper I found -- too flowery, and I wanted the walls to convey a studious atmosphere.  So I made a green wall and added noise to give it some texture.

So here it is!  What can it be used for?  Maybe inspiring you to think about a scene that could be Photoshopped for your website.  What is your fantasy scenario?  No, no, I mean the clean one.

My Fantasy Study.  (I put away the laptop when not in use.)

Fox News Segment on Dangerous "SWATing" Attacks on Conservative Bloggers

With a big hat tip to Dan Riehl.  See Fox News print version here,

Adrienne's New Blog Banner

My good friend and blogger buddy Adrienne of Adrienne's Corner mentioned that her blog banner was bit plain, and someday she would spruce it up.  I asked if I could do it for her, and whipped up a new blog banner.  It's simple, but she liked it and it is in place there now.  Go see!

I think a blog banner should express the essence of who you (the blogger) are and what you are all about.  Adrienne's slogan is "Still Catholic, Still Conservative," so I wanted to express that in her banner.

She also likes flowers and grows them in her garden.  So I put a simple floral design on the left of the banner, and a stained glass window (with a cross) on the right, to signify her Catholic faith.  Still it lacked something, but then it dawned on me:  stained glass windows are glorious when emitting light.  I added a blue glow to represent sunlight.  Now the window emitting light symbolizes Adrienne's blog, which emits the warm and vibrant light of truth and of faith.

I am just so sensitive I can hardly stand it.

I love that blue glow, though -- it immediately draws the eye to the stained glass window and the cross, telling the subconscious, "this is the essence of Adrienne."

Now, for your blog, who are you?  What values do you hold most dear?  What message do you want to convey?  What symbols, pictures and graphics most closely convey your essence?

Think about it.  Contact me if you want to toss around some ideas.

Robert Stacy McCain Reconsidered: Leads Courageous Fight Against Brett Kimberlin Crowd

Robert Stacy McCain
Let's be honest: some time ago I took R.S. McCain to task for supporting Pamela Geller's erroneous and damaging assertion that the English Defence League was "fascist." It isn't, and Geller's reckless claim was roundly condemned by the right blogosphere. I felt that McCain's acceptance of Geller's word at face value betrayed the objectivity that a professional journalist should retain, particularly when reputations are at stake. Further, I was appalled that he would cite the murderous rampage of Anders Breivik as proof that Geller was right...except that Breivik wasn't a member of the English Defence League and nothing that organization has done, said or published could rationally associate them with a psychopath. I do not retract nor do I apologize for the stand I took, which was an ethical stand based on the facts.

I support conservatives when they are right, and McCain is right 90% of the time. I will be no one's ass-kisser.  He was wrong regarding the English Defence League.  That's now all in the past and largely forgotten.  Far more important is what McCain is doing now.

McCain's latest project and stance against the Brett Kimberlin crowd is right, honorable and courageous.

We are all really indebted to Robert Stacy McCain for leading the charge against the lying, law-faring and larcenous liberals of the Kimberlin Clan. The story of Brett Kimberlin, his organizations, tactics and allies is a complex tale of villainy, difficult to understand. McCain's recent series of posts has explained the convoluted tale, described the players and how they relate to one another, the organizations they represent, and the people they have victimized. His posts contain a lot of the backstory that bring insight into the sorry saga.

In war, the guys leading the charge are said to be "riding the point," as in the point of the spear, as it penetrates into enemy territory. The soldiers riding point are in a very dangerous but necessary position. McCain has been "riding point" for all of us who are concerned with ruthless harassment and intimidation of conservative bloggers. While many would not wish to expose themselves to the danger, McCain has been fearless in the face of evil.

R.S McCain, once he focuses on a problem, will attack it head-on, even when doing so is dangerous to himself. Not only does he make himself a possible target of SWAT-ing, but also to "lawfare," the leftists' filing of lawsuits to punish their detractors. These suits are time-consuming, expensive to defend, and waste a lot of a person's time (which is why they are filed).

McCain has had to relocate recently to protect his family from Kimberlin & operatives, and needs cash to get his family resettled. Yesterday I sent $100 to R.S. McCain to help in a small way.

I hope all who read this will consider donating also, to The Other McCain. Go there and hit the tip jar. Give what you can, every little bit helps.

Was Hot Babe in Video Obama's Mother? (Video)

Jerome Corsi at World Net Daily has an article that theorizes that Barack Obama's real father was his mentor, communist Frank Marshall Davis. Corsi posts the video below, showing that Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, was one hot mama who posed for (fairly tame) pornography, allegedly taken by Marshall. The video blacks out certain portions of Dunham's anatomy, but I published the uncensored photos some time back. Here's the video:

 Read Corsi's article here.

I do not support Barack Obama, but once again I will say this:  whatever his mom did is no reflection on him.

Must Reads for Saturday

Here are some of my favorite blog posts and stories today:

The Cloward-Piven Strategy.  This was the strategy of "orchestrated crisis" by which the left could seize power and replace constitutional democracy with socialism.

Why We Write:  the Long, Hard  Road of the Brett Kimberlin Story:  Lee Stranahan explains why he would do it all over again, in spite of the legal and personal harassment of the Kimberlin crowd.

Traditional Families Are Best After All:  Forget all that "Heather has Two Mommies" B.S.  It is becoming clear what we knew all along:  the best environment for raising normal, healthy kids is the traditional home with a mom and a dad.  Duh!

Neal Rauhauser's Game Plan.  It's not to get himself committed to a rubber room, no matter how much it seems that way.  One of Brett Kimberlin's right hand men seems to have a serious inability to differentiate between reality and fantasy.  Although that's true of any dedicated leftist, Rauhauser has raised self-deception to an art form.

The God Particle.  For well over a hundred years, atheists and socialists (like Engels, who hated religion) have been searching for proof that the physical universe is "all that exists, all that ever has existed, and all that ever will exist."  Modern materialists hope to do this by finding "the God Particle," the tiniest, most basic element on which all matter rests.  At first they thought it was the atom, but found that even atoms are made up of smaller particles called quarks, which are in turn made up of gizmos and doo-dads.  (Or something like that.) Some scientific journals have reported that scientists are right on the verge of isolating and detecting the illusive particle.  But, whoops, now some are saying the God Particle may be as many as five particles....oh my, what is a materialist to do?

Butt-Hurt Blogging -- Why oh why doesn't the blogosphere love me?  My mama loves me.  Are you calling my mama a liar?

Shocking...Criminal charges against Aaron Walker were dropped.  He won't be prosecuted for blogging....and presumably, not for brushing his teeth, eating tuna fish sandwiches and watching television.  Don't you just hate our permissive society?

"Eco-Tyranny" by Brian Sussman: Major Goals of the Left in Exploiting Environmental Issues

Brian Sussman
Brian Sussman, a very good guy in the San Francisco Bay Area, has written a new book on climate change and the global warming hoax.  His first book was "Climategate," a useful tome for putting the whole controversy into perspective and rebutting the alarmist claims and arguments.

"Eco-Tyranny:  How the Left's Green Agenda Will Dismantle America" goes further and delves into the left's use of environmentalism to construct massive wealth-redistribution schemes, to weaken or even destroy property rights, undermine the sovereignty of the United States, and justify massive power grabs by the federal government.

Sussman's book is helping me to better understand the long-held goals and strategies of the radical left, and I will soon write an article that lists them and explains them.  In a nutshell, however, those goals are (1) a one-world government where all countries are taxed and regulated by an international order, and (2) massive wealth redistribution from the industrialized nations to the underdeveloped ones, and massive wealth redistribution within nations from rich to poor.

In other words, the perennial goal of the left is international socialism.  Environmental issues are just the excuse, the rationalization, the Shtick, the latest scheme by which socialism is to be accomplished.

These goals, if realized, will mean that Americans will experience a major reduction in their standard of living, and will be forced to live the lifestyle beloved by the left:  smaller families, smaller homes, fewer modern conveniences, less personal choice, fewer opportunities.

Brian has a climate website here.

Obama Subverts the Rule of Law on Illegals

This week President Obama granted immunity from deportation to young illegal aliens.  Instead of deporting them, the INS will issue them work permits.  To be honest, I don't believe that this issue is as cut and dried as many on the right would make it.  It affects young adults who were brought here by their parents, through no fault of their own, who have grown up here and graduated high school.

The issue is that Obama decided on his own the approach to these illegal aliens.  The resolution of this issue belongs to Congress, through discussion, debate and a vote.  However, Obama's subversion of the rule of law isn't new.  David Limbaugh writes in his recent book, "The Great Destroyer," Obama has been plotting for many months on how to circumvent Congress on the question of illegals.  He writes:
With immigration, as with many other items on his agenda, Obama thumbs his nose at those who advocate the rule of law in our approach to the knotty problem. He’s expressed his support for illegal alien sanctuary cities and for suspending deportations of non-criminal illegal immigrants. His administration has also produced a memo detailing a strategy to circumvent Congress administratively in pursuit of amnesty for illegals.
Limbaugh, David (2012-06-04). The Great Destroyer: Barack Obama's War on the Republic (Kindle Locations 715-718). Perseus Books Group. Kindle Edition.
Even scarier, Obama has been courting radical hispanic groups like "La Raza" for some time, and has appointed members of this anti-American group to positions in his administration.

Sarah Palin's Speech at Right Online Conference: Praises Conservative Bloggers (Video)

Changes to Saber Point

I recently changed my banner.  I just got bored with the same old thing.  Hope you like it.

I also changed my commenting system to Disqus.  Let me know if you have any problems accessing the commenting section and leaving comments.

Using a commenting system other than blogger's can be dangerous.  A couple of years back I changed my commenting system, which increased its price tenfold after one year.  I ditched it, but in the process lost hundreds of comments, some of which represented long debates and useful discussions.  I have Disqus working in tandem with blogger, so if I stop using Disqus, I should still retain all comments.

Please try out the Disqus commenting system and let me know of any problems, at stogiechomper "at" gmail.com.

Who Is Nadia Naffe? Not a Conservative, That's For Sure

Nadia Naffe
Nadia Naffe was allegedly a "conservative activist" who partnered with James O'Keefe to engage in staged encounters with liberal public officials to demonstrate incidents of liberal hypocrisy and/or illicit behavior.

O'Keefe, as you may recall, was a Breitbart associate who secretly taped an encounter with the leftist organization Acorn.  He posed as a pimp, along with a young woman activist, to record Acorn officials giving advice on how to beat the system via possibly illegal acts.  The video of the encounter went viral, leading to much bad publicity for Acorn, which in turn resulted in Acorn losing public contracts with the government.

O'Keefe was much praised and heralded for this act.  However, he lost a lot of credibility when he and several others subsequently showed up at the offices of Senator Mary Landrieu, disguised as phone repairmen, and attempted to gain access to her telephone system.  They were all arrested and O'Keefe was convicted of a misdemeanor.  It was a singularly stupid stunt, and I lambasted O'Keefe in this blog for his really terrible judgment (see here and here).  Since then, I have considered O'Keefe to be something of a loose cannon.

Nadia Naffe was apparently recruited by O'Keefe to take part in further staged incidents.  She claims she was harassed by O'Keefe and filed suit against him.  The suit was dismissed for lack of evidence, and now O'Keefe has filed a suit against Naffe.  Naffe took umbrage at Patrick Frey of Patterico's Pontifications, a Los Angeles D.A., who provided O'Keefe with legal advice on how to handle the lawsuits.  Further nefarious deeds by Frey include practicing law online and blogging at work.  Another big So What?  In any case, Naffe has filed suit against Frey.  Never hesitate, litigate!  All while singing that wonderful old standard, "Ill Be Suing You."

At her blog, Naffe describes her encounters with O'Keefe, which on the face appear pretty tame.  She alleges that he came on to her (quite possibly true, young men often have problems controlling their hormones), but that in itself wouldn't seem particularly egregious to me.  He also used her laptop to send emails when she stayed overnight in his office headquarters in a converted barn.  Again, so what?

Now on her blog she discloses that she filed suit against Patrick Frey for somehow downloading her medical records (from where?) and publishing them and her social security number on the internet (for what purpose?). That, if true, would be a serious event. I do not have any specific information on this, and it would be good to get the facts from Frey's point of view. However, I very much doubt that it is true. From what I can surmise from Rauhauser comments on the web, Naffe and her new leftist friends only suspect that Frey did the deed. Oh yes, an experienced trial attorney is going to do something illegal in order to protect O'Keefe from a nuisance and frivolous lawsuit, one that was quickly and easily dismissed for lack of substance. Do you believe that? I don't. UPDATE: I learned from a commenter at Patterico's blog the following info:
Stogie – IIRC [if I remember correctly], at best, it is an exaggeration. He posted a publicly available transcript of one of her many depositions, in which her SSN resided. He quickly redacted when he became aware. Also, IIRC, the whole medical records nonsense comes from the deposition, where she discusses her medical history.
After reading through Naffe's blog, most of her complaints seem like the petty gripes of an adolescent school girl.  She hired the lawyer who represents leftists, the Occupy movement and the Anonymous movement.  She claims that her lawyer will grill Frey in court about how he and his wife can afford to live in a 1.3 million dollar home, and also grill him as to the specifics of how he was targeted in a SWAT-ing episode.  I'm no lawyer, but I think it's a safe bet that no judge would permit such a fishing expedition into areas not relevant to her case.

Finally, Naffe apologizes on her blog for her previous association with O'Keefe, in what seems to be another "Blinded by the Right" epiphany, a la David Brock and Charles Johnson, i.e. as someone who didn't realize how evil the Right was, but now wishes to return to the right side of the Lord, which is the left.

These facts lead me to believe that Nadia Naffe was probably never a conservative activist, but an infiltrator who may have been playing O'Keefe for the purpose of damaging his operations and his reputation (though he seems quite capable of doing that all by himself).  This is my theory, anyway.

Read Nadia's blog here and decide for yourself.  Comments and suggestions welcome.
UPDATE:  I guess Nadia doesn't like visitors poring over her brilliance.  She has now made her blog private.

Finally Learning Twitter

I have always found Twitter to be intimidating.  All those hash marks and @ signs.  However, I am finally learning to use this tool, by using it, playing with it, and trying things out.

I found a large number of my blog posts had been retweeted by various users.  I also found that you can locate many blogs of interest (I have added several to my blogroll just this evening), as well as a lot of information on any topic of interest.

For finding topics to blog about, Twitter is tops.  I will keep learning.

Leftist Harassment of Conservatives

Via American Power,

John Hawkins describes recent leftist attacks on conservative bloggers.  It is an alarming scenario, but underscores how rotten, no-good and evil the "progressive" movement really is.

All conservatives should read it to know what we are up against.

Roller Blog, the New Contact Sport

This past week has made me aware that blogging isn't the gentle hobby I once believed it to be.  Even fairly unknown bloggers can become targets of very angry people.  They can be sued, slandered, even put in jail for simply expressing their opinion (like Adam Walker).  Blogging has become a contact sport.  I call it Roller Blog.  The object (at least for lefty players) is to get your views heard while suppressing those of your opponent.

The left is increasingly desperate and ruthless.  For decades they owned a monopoly on news and information; with the growth of the internet, conservatives have a growing voice in the national debate, and it is making a difference.

Liberals are losing it...and they're pissed.

I am becoming more aware of the Roller Blog players.  Neal Rauhauser, Jay Leiderman, Nadia Naffe, Ron Brynaert on the left. Mandy Nagy, John Patrick Frey, Mike Stack, Lee Stranhan on the right.  These folks were unknown to me until this past week.

One thing is clear:  the left is dangerous, hate-filled, devoid of ethics and utterly ruthless.  They not only want to refute conservatives, they want to ruin them, hurt them, destroy their reputations and livelihoods, humiliate them, and even cause great bodily harm or even to kill them (thus the new tactic of SWAT-ing).

Considering the above, it makes sense that the more ardent "progressives" are willing to get into bed with a violent felon and pathological liar, as long as he believes in their politics.

This is Rich....Brett Kimberlin's Organization Offers $10,000 Reward for SWAT-ers!

Screen Capture of Velvet Revolution Article (Click to Enlarge)
Velvet Revolution, one of the non-profits directed by Brett Kimberlin, has offered a $10,000 reward for the arrest of persons responsible for recent SWAT-ing crimes.

SWAT-ing is a crime in which malicious individuals call the police pretending to be someone else, someone they don't like, and informing the police that they have just shot someone.  The police and swat teams converge on the targeted person's home with guns drawn.  One such person was John Patrick Frey, a conservative blogger and D.A. for Los Angeles.

Someone had called the police pretending to be Frey, falsely informing them that he had shot his wife. The police arrives at his front door post haste, guns drawn.  Frey and his wife had loaded guns pointed at them, were frisked, and Frey was handcuffed for a time while the police sorted it all out.

This is a very serious crime, and it has been used to attack conservatives Michael Stack and Erick Erickson, as well as the aforementioned Mr. Frey.  Conservatives considered these malicious attacks to be the work of "progressive" operatives, trying to intimidate these bloggers into silence.

In all three cases, the bloggers were in some way linked to criticisms of Brett Kimberlin, making Kimberlin the object of suspicion.  Considering Kimberlin's long history of ruthless behavior towards critics, the suspicion was not unreasonable.  SWAT-ing would appear to be the next logical step beyond malicious prosecution, Kimberlin's weapon of choice.

Incensed, many conservatives contacted major news sources and congressional representatives to investigate this and other "progressive" attempts to shut down free speech (including the frivolous lawsuits Kimberlin has filed against a number of people).  Now there are around 80 congressmen and women who have signed a petition for the Attorney General to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate these crimes and indict the perpetrators, if they can be identified.

So, VOILA!  Velvet Revolution has announced that Brett Kimberlin was also the victim of a "SWAT" crime, even though Kimberlin never spoke of it publicly and so far, has produced no evidence that it actually happened (correct me if I'm wrong).  Now Velvet Revolution is offering a $10,000 reward to catch the villains, not only for persecuting their hero Brett Kimberlin, but also for persecuting people Kimberlin hates as well.

I smell a rat.

Time for a Hot Shower

Ugh, I hadn't intended to get involved in the Brett Kimberlin brouhaha, but the more I read about the little toad, the madder I got.  Sometimes you just have to get it out of your system and let the chips fall where they may.

Now I feel like I just swam through a lake of raw sewage and I need a hot shower.

Hopefully, there will be more positive stories to tell in the coming week.

A Cry For Help: Ace of Spades Asks Congress to Protect Free Speech from Brett Kimberlin

Ace of Spades has written and eloquent "cry for help" regarding the one-man crime wave known as Brett Kimberlin.

It is well written and passionately argued.

Read it here.

Who's Funding Brett Kimberlin?

Michelle Malkin had a post last month on the funding sources of Brett Kimberlin.  Kimberlin has been out of jail for eleven years now and apparently is raking in the cash through his two non-profit organizaitons, Velvet Revolution and Justice Through Music.  Both are leftwing sites supporting leftist causes and candidates.

Major contributors include George Soros (through his organization, the Tides Foundation); Babara Streisand, vacuous singer and actress, and Teresa Heinz Kerry, moonbat wife of John Kerry, Democrat Senator from Massachusetts.

The question in my mind is this:  if Kimberlin is using funds from these big contributors to carry out malicious prosecution of conservative bloggers, couldn't these funding sources be sued for contributing to Kimberlin's nefarious activities?  No doubt there are some deep pockets there that could provide a lot of moola for electing conservatives.

Here are the links from Malkin's site:

Big Government: Kimberlin Funders Stunned to Discover They Fund Kimberlin

Some Gentle Advice to Kimberlin and Supporters

Before any of you decide to use "lawfare" against me, you should know that I am experienced at fighting my own legal battles without a lawyer.  Years ago, some asshole sued me in an attempt to ruin me.  I fired my attorney and took over my own case.  I learned to write and file briefs, do legal research in the local law library, cite precedent cases, subpoena witnesses, file motions, examine and cross examine witnesses.

I won my suit, even though it went to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco.  If you sue me, I will countersue you, your supporters, your boards of directors and your funding sources.  I may even sue Brett's mother, for providing him with a headquarters from which to persecute others.  I am retired and have nothing but time on my hands, lots of time to make your lives miserable, as you have wrongly done to so many others.  Be forewarned, I will prove far more trouble than it's worth.

If you obtain my address and phone number and publish them on a blog or website, I could reciprocate in kind.  It took me less than ten minutes to find the home of Brett Kimberlin's mom, one Carolyn C. Kimberlin, where Brett lives.  I have his street address, phone number and a Google Earth photo of his mom's house.  (Nice looking little place, I might say.)  I also have a list of Brett's siblings.  My, what a nice big family.

Now let me be clear, I have no intention of publishing such information; I have never done so before, even in the face of extreme provocation by trolls.  I battle with words, facts and ideas, not with the vicious tactics of the so called "progressive" left.  However, if I could do it, others could do it too, so why invite this kind of reciprocal aggression?  If I were you, I'd take the picture of Ali Akbar's mom's house off the Breitbarkunmasked website, as well as the street address.  Never know when some crazy rightwinger might want to return the favor, y'know what I mean?

What I might do instead of revealing sensitive information is either to just call Mrs. Kimberlin or write her a  letter, telling her what her son is up to and asking her do what she can to stop him.  Maybe kicking his ass out of the house would slow him down.

So behave yourselves.  You are not immune to countermeasures.

Who Is Brett Kimberlin? These Videos Explain.

It is time for all conservatives and conservative bloggers to stand firmly and fearlessly against the vicious tactics of Brett Kimberlin. In order to understand who Brett Kimberlin is, and what he has done and is doing, watch the videos below and refer your friends to them. As Glenn Beck says, "light is the best disinfectant," and we will continue to shed light on Brett Kimberlin and his nefarious deeds, his financing sources, his non-profit organizations and his allies, as long as necessary.

Most recent television news coverage of the Kimberlin Saga:

Short video describing the crimes of Brett Kimberlin:

Glenn Beck discusses Kimberlin's attack on blogger Aaron Walker. (Aaron Walker linked to Saber Point's Twitter account this morning and is now following this blog, and vice versa):

Blogger Patrick Frey, of "Patterico's Pontificatins" discusses Brett Kimberlin's attacks with Glenn Beck:

Finally, a video explaining Kimberlin's attempt to frame blogger Aaron Walker for a criminal act. A security camera disproved Kimberlin's false accusations and the charges were dropped, but the police refused to take action against Kimberlin for perjury and malicious prosecution.

The Growing Opposition to Brett Kimberlin's Campaign of Political Terrorism

The Brett Kimberlin saga is both distressing and depressing, in that he has targeted a number of conservative bloggers who have spoken out against him.  Kimberlin is a felon who was sentenced to 50 years in prison for setting eight bombs in Speedway, Indiana in 1978, costing one man his leg and later his life (the man committed suicide due to the pain and depression resulting from Kimberlin's bomb).

To get a handle on this story, start with Patterico's Pontifications, here: Convicted Bomber Brett Kimberlin, Neal Rauhauser, Ron Brynaert, and Their Campaign of Political Terrorism.

There is a growing opposition to Kimberlin and his pals, going as high as Michelle Malkin, a Fox News Analyst and very high profile blogger.  A legal fund has been set up to provide legal assistance to victims of Kimberlin's vexatious litigation.  (Donate here.)

Normally, I wouldn't give two hoots in hell about a criminal turned liberal (the two groups have so much in common).  Kimberlin would have been smart to answer criticism with contrite humility, assuring everyone that he has learned from his mistakes, and is now on a lifelong quest to bring peace, harmony and love to the world.  Of course, he would have been lying through his teeth, but it would have defused the opposition and kept his sordid past somewhat under the radar.

However, a chief characteristic of ardent "progressives" is irrational anger and a desire for revenge.  Like suicide bombers, they will gladly destroy themselves in order to punish their enemies.

Brett Kimberlin should have tiptoed past the sleeping bear.  What he did instead was to smack the sleeping bear in the nose.  Okay, a few hundred sleeping bears, and they are angry and hungry for Kimberlin's hide.

That's a metaphor, Brett, not an actual description.  It means that you have single-handedly created an army of ardent, motivated enemies who will seek retribution, who will organize, fund-raise, obtain legal and congressional representation.  What they will do, I surmise, is give you some legal action of your own...as a defendant...and maybe sue your nonprofits too and possibly get your tax exempt status revoked.  Find out who the Board of Directors are and sue them.  That will really make you popular among the progressive set, I'll wager.  Then I suppose they will spread the word about your violent, criminal past far and wide.  Maybe they will even get your parole revoked.  I don't know for sure, but it seems to me that you have a lot to lose in pressing this fight.

Yes, Brett, you have made yet another bad choice in a lifetime of bad choices.  Now you will deal with the aftermath...again.  Ever hear of the saying "actions have consequences"?

"Progressives" Believe the End Justifies the Means: Some Examples of Others Who Did Also (Photos)

All of the people pictured below are extremists. They believed that their desired end justified the means. Today's "progressives" will understand that -- it's something they practice daily.

See if you can name the "ends justifiers" below and describe their crimes against humanity.  All of them used either firearms or bombs in their crimes (one of them used both).

Donald Douglas, Dr. Doom to the Left

Donald Douglas at American Power surely has my respect.  He makes a practice of going toe-to-toe with the worst leftist vermin on the web.  I couldn't do this.  It's like swimming through an open sewer, or dancing with the inmates of an asylum for the criminally insane.

He demonstrates here, for example, how the left supports Brett Kimberlin, former felon and convicted terrorist, drug dealer, perjurer and all around asshole.  Kimberlin's tactics at shutting down criticism and revelations of his sordid past are extreme.  That's just fine with the totalitarian and grossly misnamed "progressives," who are really just a rehash of 1930's style Stalinism.  May they all rot in Hell.

Kudos to Dr. Douglas.  It's really a very rotten job, but someone has to do it.

R.S. McCain ("The Other McCain") Achieves Ten Million Hits

Robert Stacy McCain's blog, "The Other McCain," achieved Ten Million Hits today.  That clearly places "The Other McCain" into the pantheon of greatest conservative blogs.

McCain has shown himself to be skilled at organization and delegation, as the success of his blog rests partially on the work of capable volunteers, primarily his right hand man, Smitty.  This has freed McCain to work on "shoe leather" reporting, visiting people and places to get breaking news stories from the source, and to provide original reporting of same, often with photos and videos.

McCain, an experienced professional journalist, has run his blog like a small newspaper, with him as the star reporter.  McCain has appeared at many critical political events (most recently some of the "Occupy Wall Street" protests) and interviewed people at the scene, including some well known personalities like Todd Palin and Andrew Breitbart.

Achieving even one million hits on one's blog is no easy feat.  Saber Point is finally approaching one million hits (right now, 982,396, as recorded by StatCounter, my oldest recording tool).  And, it only took six years!  I think McCain first achieved that mark in less than a year.

Congratulations to Robert Stacy McCain.

Leftist Suppression of Conservative Speech

Apparently a liberal/left individual named Brett Kimberlin, along with his operatives, has been making life hell for some conservative bloggers.   Brett Kimberlin has his very own Wikepedia page and it is far from flattering.  See it here.

If my understanding is correct, Kimberlin was convicted of drug trafficking, perjury and domestic terrorism by planting a series of bombs, one of which maimed a Vietnam veteran.  Kimberlin was sentenced to 50 years in prison but was released (on parole, I assume).  Upon his release he tried to re-invent himself as a liberal social activist, starting non-profit organizations and receiving donations from the public (mostly liberals, I would guess).  A conservative blogger, one Aaron Walker, got wind of these nonprofits and figured Kimberlin was running a scam (an opinion shared by Ed Barnes of Fox News), so he wrote about Kimberlin's criminal past.  Kimberlin promptly sued him.  A judge, apparently no fan of the First Amendment, ordered Walker to stop writing about Kimberlin and even jailed Walker for a few days in what appears to be a transparent abuse of Walker's Constitutional rights.

Kimberlin reportedly taught himself to file lawsuits (without an attorney) while in prison, and has filed over 100 lawsuits to harass his enemies, in what he himself has called "lawfare."  Lawfare is the abuse of the system, using the courts as a weapon to cost the target many hours of time, large amounts of money in legal fees, and great anxiety.

This practice is called "vexatious litigation," the filing of numerous, frivolous lawsuits that are without legal merit, but nevertheless are highly damaging to the one served.  And, going into court is always a crapshoot, because the integrity, skill and biases of judges vary widely.

That's bad enough, but other practices that bloggers are reporting, allegedly from Kimberlin and his comrades, are these:

1.  Calling the target's employer and either complaining or threatening them or both, sometimes resulting in the target losing his or her job.

2.  Making false calls to the police, pretending to be from the target's household, claiming that violence has occurred in the household, and to send help.  In at least one case, the police sent a SWAT team to the targeted blogger's house and they entered with guns drawn.  This malicious and fraudulent act has been labeled "SWAT-ing."

I do not know if Kimberlin & Co. had anything to do with the SWAT-ing of the blogger in question, but apparently, there is suspicion that Kimberlin & Co was involved.  Ruthless suppression of conservative free speech is, of course, not limited to any single leftist.  There appears to be a growing trend, particularly now that liberal (or "progressive") fortunes are on the wane.

Admittedly, my knowledge of the subject matter is limited.  To learn more, consult Robert Stacy McCain and Michelle Malkin, who have written about it extensively and courageously.  To me, Bret Kimberlin is about as important and as relevant as a cockroach.  I don't care who he is or how he may be bilking foolish liberals out of donations to his non-profits.  I do care, however, that illegal and malicious activity may be occurring to freeze free speech and to intimidate conservatives.  We cannot and will not stand for this.

Update:  Donald Douglas at American Power has more details on this case in a post today, "Bloggers Mobilize to Protect Freedom of Speech."

D-DAY REMEMBERED: 68 YEARS AGO TODAY

I created this image from an actual modern photograph of Omaha Beach, with overlaid figures of actual American soldiers who landed there 68 years ago today. D-Day was one of the bloodiest and costliest battles in American war history. We should never forget those who died there.

The Scott Walker Victory and Progressive Reaction

Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin defeated the leftist attempt to remove him from office.  He won the recall election, leaving public sector unions holding the bill for the $21 million they wasted on the attempt.

Liberals and leftists immediately launched a flurry of death threats on Twitter, Ed Schultz, a very liberal TV talk host on MSNBC, had tears in his eyes as he opined that Governor Walker "could very well be indicted in the coming days."  Indicted for what? Schultz didn't say.  Apparently, it is illegal in Schultzville to defeat Democrats in elections.

Rachel Maddow was visibly dejected and depressed but did her best to hide it.

When Walker's Democrat opponent Tom Barrett conceded the race last night, an enraged woman slapped him in the face.  Apparently Barrett didn't understand that denial of reality makes reality go away.

A Democrat interviewed on camera was sobbing like a little girl, claiming "Democracy died tonight" in the Walker campaign.

IT IS UTTERLY AMAZING to me how many Americans live in fantasy land.  They want free goodies and have an enormous sense of entitlement.  The world owes them a living and the government is their collection agency.  The only factors that decide how much a person is paid are (1) what he needs and (2) what he wants. His needs and and wants must be supplied by the government.  There is no concept in his juvenile brain of getting paid what he is worth in the free market.  There is no connection between personal productivity and reward.

Yesterday's vote in Wisconsin shows that more and more people are beginning to "get it."

Welcome to Realville.

Democrat Media Trying Hard to Deflect Unpleasant Truths

Update:  On June 7, 2012 Rush Limbaugh covered this very same topic with essentially the same arguments that I make below.

Back in the day when Fidel Castro was taking over Cuba, people on the right asserted that Castro was a communist.  The Democrat media (which consists of the great majority of major newspapers and television networks) denied that Fidel was a commie.  He and his band of murdering thugs were merely "agrarian reformers."

Agrarian reformers.  Yeah right.

Now we have a president whose mother was a radical leftist and whose childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a card-carrying Communist:
....through Frank Marshall Davis, Obama had an admitted relationship with someone who was publicly identified as a member of the Communist Party USA CPUSA). The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where, at some point in time, he developed a close relationship, almost like a son, with Davis, listening to his “poetry” and getting advice on his career path. But Obama, in his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him repeatedly as just “Frank.”
Various sources state that Ann Dunham was a communist sympathizer and Obama's father was a Marxist.  I have not found sufficient source material to verify this.  However, Obama's association with communist terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn are well publicized and well known.  (Frank Marshall Davis was a close friend of Bill Ayers' father.)  Obama's socialist activism, however, has largely been ignored by the mainstream press.  For instance:
Obama’s socialist backing goes back at least to 1996, when he received the endorsement of the Chicago branch of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) for an Illinois state senate seat. Later, the Chicago DSA newsletter reported that Obama, as a state senator, showed up to eulogize Saul Mendelson, one of the “champions” of “Chicago’s democratic left” and a long-time socialist activist. Obama’s stint as a “community organizer” in Chicago has gotten some attention, but his relationship with the DSA socialists, who groomed and backed him, has been generally ignored.
However, no matter how well documented Obama's socialist and Communist ties, the mainstream media continues to deflect public attention away from these facts, to deny that they are true, and to cover them up. The Associated Press writes:
But to many historians and political scientists - and to actual socialists as well - the persistent claim that Obama is a socialist lacks credence.

He's widely seen as a pragmatist within the Democratic Party mainstream who's had ample success raising campaign funds from wealthy Wall Street capitalists. Even some of his strongest critics acknowledge that his administration hasn't sought one of the classic forms of socialism - government control of the nation's means of production.
So we see that the new term for "agrarian reformer" is "Democratic pragmatist."  Pragmatism my foot.  There is nothing pragmatic about Obama's policies, which are ruining the economy.

The last line in the AP statement above is particularly ludicrous.  The Socialist strategy has always been a gradual usurpation on the way to controlling the means of production, as well as a Gramscian "march through the institutions" and a slow poisoning of America's culture and soul, to kill resistance imperceptibly (e.g. as in the "boil the frog" analogy), but kill it nevertheless.  An out-and-out grab or even an expressed desire for such an outcome would put the Democratic Party out of business for years, if not permanently.  Even Obama isn't that stupid.

But he has made a serious effort to take control of the automobile industry and the financial sector, not to mention an out-and-out grab of the health care industry.  His carbon-credits "cap and trade" scheme would have redistributed billions in wealth from the productive to the non-productive, a key Socialist goal, albeit disguised as a way to combat [non-existent] global warming.

Yes, Obama is definitely a socialist.  Or worse.  That's a fact that not even the highly biased Associated Press can cover up.

Democratic Disaster in Wisconsin? Scott Walker and the Recall Vote

Republican Scott Walker was elected Governor of Wisconsin to stop the budget hemmorhage.  To do that he had to get some rather mild restraints placed on the state's government employee unions.  The result was a balanced budget for the first time in many months.

The red ink stopped.  However, liberals and Democrats were not amused, not to mention the greedy state employee unions who got used to the perks and benefits that union blackmail can bring.  So they launched a movement to recall Governor Walker for doing the job he was elected to do.

Tomorrow, June 5, 2012, the voters of Wisconsin will decide to keep or oust Governor Walker and return to out-of-control state spending so that fat-cat union operatives can continue living at a level considerably higher than their true economic worth.

Polls show Walker in the lead, but it is always dangerous to predict the outcome of a race that has been close for many months.  However, Jonathan Tobin of Commentary seems inclined to believe that Walker will survive the Unions' vengeful scheme.  He writes:
The immediate problem in Wisconsin for liberals is not so much that Walker has persuaded a majority of voters that he is right — though there is clear evidence he has made headway despite the avalanche of criticism he got in the mainstream media — but that even many of those inclined to side with the Democrats have been convinced the left is dead wrong. The recall election is rightly perceived as nothing more than a form of payback for the drubbing the unions got in the legislature last year, and that has left a bitter taste in many voters’ mouths. If Walker survives tomorrow, the consequences will not only mean he will be strengthened, but that Democrats will emerge looking both petty and weak.
Whatever the outcome, it may be a bellwether for the national elections in November.   For that reason, tomorrow's election in Wisconsin is both highly important and very interesting.

Fantasy Islam vs. Real Islam (from the Brussels Journal)

Oh Yes, Let's Import a Few Million More Like This
There is a great article at the Brussels Journal today Fantasy Islam vs Real Islam.  It discusses the questions that an interviewer posed to Geert Wilders and then analyzes the assumptions and premises behind those questions.

Geert Wilders is a Dutch politician who truly understands Islam and why it should be kept out of the West.  He is hated, not only by Muslims, but by liberals and leftists who, like the barbarians they protect, are the sworn enemies of western civilization.

Not surprisingly, Wilders has been marked for murder by various Islamic leaders for telling the unpleasant truth about their totalitairan, despotic ideology.  He has been shunned, insulted and opposed by the liberals and leftists whose Islamic illusions he has disabused.

The Brussels article describes the argument today between Real Islam and Fantasy Islam.  Real Islam is the kind that wants to replace western democracy with Islamic sharia law, where gays are hanged and adulteresses stoned and thieves have their hands sawed off in the public square.  Fantasy Islam is one that portrays the religion as very tolerant (at least in centuries past) and seeks to deflect criticisms of it through "moral equivalency" arguments.  In the past, they say, the Jews and the Catholics invaded other nations or peoples and forced their religion on them, so Islam is no worse or no different.

Such arguments are really self-destructive and irrelevant.  Neither Cathrolics nor Jews are invading anyone today, nor quoting their religious texts as justification, and they most certainly are not flying planes into skyscrapers, machine gunning people in train stations, planting bombs on subway trains or murdering school children.  Muslims are doing (or have recently done) all of those things -- not in spite of their religion, but because of it.

The proponents of Fantasy Islam should ask themselves, when the Real Islam shows up and slices off your head, will you be any less dead?  Will you accept your own death more willingly knowing that, in centuries past, Jews and Catholics probably murdered someone too?
