I'm embarrassed to admit that my first reaction this morning was to be astonished to discover precisely where all the terrorists were arrested. I keep having to remind myself that money/poverty has nothing to do with islamic fundamentalism. Brampton and Mississauga are fairly middle- and above-middle class communities, picket fence front yards, trees with tire swings in backyards, outdoor pools... and Kingston, another home for several of these killers, is a typical working-class large town/small city with factories and strip malls all over. I can close my eyes and hear the sound of lawn mowers and kids playing in some nearby yard.
As prototypically "Canadian" as it gets.
Yet within these communities, evidently, are nests of islamic vipers, scheming allah knows what against us. Naively, I have a hard time reconciling my memories of these pleasant communities and these murderous vermin.
Even after all this time and reading what I read about islamic fundamentalism on a daily basis, even I still instinctively expect these thugs to be holed up in shabby big city tenement apartments, not brand new duplexes with backyard pools and two-car garages.
Charles Henry, it has often been pointed out that Islamic terrorists tend to be well off and educated rather than deprived. Liberals want desperately to believe that it is adverse social and economic conditions that create terrorism.
It isn't. It's Islam.
We are importing our own executioners and it's time we called a complete halt to the madness.

Stogie, I'm still reeling over this story.

Some lessons are just so hard to learn...
Yep, it always seems to be something with the Muslims.
