Lame Lies of Libelous Liberals

I have often said that the Democrats are very Machiavellian, i.e. they are utterly ruthless in pushing their agendas and goals while attacking Republicans. The past couple of weeks have really demonstrated how dishonest the Left really is. You can believe nothing they say. Rush Limbaugh nailed it when he said "Liberals lie. They just flat-out, freaking lie."

Big Fat Democrat Lies now making the scene:

1. Rush Limbaugh was accused of calling soldiers who criticize the war "phony soldiers." 41 Democrats signed a letter by Harry Reid to Rush's employer. The letter asked that Rush be made to apologize for the "slur" against these "soldiers." However, the Democrats were grossly misrepresenting what happened.

Rush was criticizing Leftists who masquerade as soldiers for the purpose of anti-war propaganda, like Jesse MacBeth, a Leftist who posed as a soldier protesting the war. However, MacBeth never served and was never in Iraq. MacBeth was literally and truthfully a "phony soldier." The Dems disingenuously sought to undermine Rush's credibility and popularity by passing off his remark as a slur against actual soldiers who oppose the war (neither of whom could be reached for comment).

Liberals nationwide joined in pushing the massive lie, on the Senate floor, on Chris Matthews show, even on the MSNBC website home page. (I sent email to the latter excoriating them for propagating a brazen lie.)

Meanwhile, Rush has the Harry Reid letter up for auction on e-Bay and the current bid is $65,100. Rush plans to donate the proceeds to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships to children whose parents die in the line of duty.

2. Randi Rhodes (see picture above right), a liberal radio host on Air America, is largely unknown outside of her tiny circle of radio show listeners. I had never even heard of her before this week. However, she apparently was walking her dog one night and fell on her face, breaking teeth and giving herself a black eye. Leftist commentators on Air America and moonbat websites like Daily KOS and Moveon.org immediately announced that Rhodes had been mugged by a right wing fanatic and beaten up because the Right just can't stand to have competing opinions on the air. One commentator at Air America was crying like a little sissy-girl as he regurgitated accusations against us on the "hate-filled" right.

Within a day or so, it was revealed that Randi Rhodes beat up herself by slipping and falling on her face, in perhaps an unconscious parody of her radio show's ratings.

The incident again reveals how dishonest, irrational and paranoid are the wailing sissy-girls of the Left. Before any facts about the incident were known, masses of liberal nutroots had jumped to conclusions without any evidence whatsoever.

3. State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) - This is a medical aid program that was authored by Senator Ted Kennedy and Senator Hillary Clinton. It is supposed to provide federal dollars to states to assist families who make too much money to qualify for medicare, but still can't afford private health insurance. In other words, it's socialism. Currently the act provides $5 billion annually to states for this purpose. Recently, Congress passed a bill to expand the funding from $5 billion to $35 billion annually. President Bush vetoed the bill because he believed the bill would federalize health care, expanding the scope of SCHIP much farther than its original intent. Bush said “I don’t like plans that encourage people to move from private plans to the public. And that’s what that bill would do.”

Democrats and their house organs in the mainstream media are now slurring Bush and non-socialist members of Congress as being anti-children. One Scott Thill at Alternet asked "Does Bush hate kids?" Nancy Pelosi blamed the veto on "Hate Radio," Paul Simon, the singer, called the veto "a heartless act." One of the most extreme examples of Leftist slander came from Newsweek who described Michelle Malkin this way: "Heartless right-wing blogger attacks 12 year old brain injury victim over insurance. Sick."

The only thing sick about it is the gross misrepresentation by Newsweak. Slander is their byword. The boy's family had been used by Democrats as an example of why funding should be increased sevenfold. Malkin did not attack anyone. She merely pointed out that the family of this boy was already on SCHIP coverage and the Democrats' desired increase would have no effect on his coverage. How is that "attacking" the boy? Newsweek grossly misrepresented the facts.

The Democrats are going to try and override the SCHIP veto on October 18. They hope to persuade some of our squishy soft Republicans to support them in this regard, and all of the slanderous publicity is geared in that direction. Vote with the Dems or be slandered as "anti-child."

Who Reads the Most Books, Conservatives or Liberals?

Some liberal airhead in the media recently opined that liberals read more books than conservatives. Of course, she forgot to mention that, once the liberals are done reading their books, they then color them. How sweet.

The liberal stated that liberals read something like 9 books a year and conservatives only read 8. Out of curiosity, I viewed my purchase history at Amazon.com and listed all the books I have read in the past twelve months. They numbered 27. That includes some substantive books like "The Life of Mahomet" by William Muir, "The Looming Tower" by Lawrence Wright, and "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. Some of the books I read were fiction, but most were non-fiction. I have not included books that I started to read and quit when I found them boring. I also didn't include the great Calvin and Hobbes book of cartoons, "There's Treasure Everywhere."

Not bad for a conservative. And not a coloring book in the lot.

Create Your Own Reality

It appears the new Prime Minister of Great Britain has figured out how to rid the world of Islamic terrorism: just deny that it even exists. Following the latest Muslim bomb plot to kill Brits, the PM has ordered no one in his administration to use the terms "war on terror" or "Islamic terrorist." No one is, in any way, to point out that Islamic terrorism is related to Islamic terrorism.

This is truly brilliant. How can there be a problem that no one acknowledges or discusses? Let's ignore 14 centuries of mass murder, invasion, enslavement, robbery, rape and oppression by the Muslim religion, and poof! It all goes away, as if by magic. If we don't mention it, it doesn't exist.

Terrorism, that nasty business where select individuals attempt to kill many strangers with bombs or planes or other means, becomes simply a random act of nature, like hurricanes or floods or earthquakes or lightning strikes. It's no one's fault, really. These things just happen.

I never cease to be amazed by the perfect malleability of the left-wing mind. It is like a gyroscope; you can upset it only momentarily with fact-based reality. It soon returns to its designated course, automatically and instantly. There can be no evil in any culture, especially non-western ones, and so any problems such cultures engender are explainable by a standard list of leftist bugaboos, e.g. capitalism, Christianity, global warming, the absence of speech codes, free condoms, multiculturalism, and socialized medicine.

Reality is just not a problem for leftist-mentalists. Even overwhelming evidence of Muslim malfeasance in a horrific act like 9/11 can be erased by simple denial and the creation of a fantastic conspiracy theory. And so we have the truthers movement, which seeks to prove that 9/11 was created by George Bush and Dick Cheney as an excuse to rule the world. You really can't disprove their theory, because their inventive little minds will simply manufacture new "facts" and dismiss others to support their preconceived beliefs. Nor can you expect the leftist-mentalists to be disuaded by simple embarrassment over the sheer asininity of their claims. Nothing embarrasses them. How else would you explain those spikey hair styles and nipple rings?

The new Prime Minister's attitude reminds me of that wonderful old musical, "The Music Man." A salesman comes to a small Iowa town in the first decade of the 20th century to sell band instruments to the town's children. The Music Man, as he is called, is really a scam artist. He just wants to sell the instruments and then split with the cash, leaving the kiddies and their parents with loads of trumpets, trombones, etc, that they cannot play. However, the scammer gets trapped and must find a way to teach the children to play. So he invents the mental method, by which the children only have to imagine that they can play, and voila! They will be able to play! There is such a thin line between imagination and reality, you know. Sure enough, by the end of the musical the kiddies are marching down mainstreet blasting out "76 Trombones" and the story ends with a smile.

I fear that the political left took this play to heart and now we have foreign policy by the mental method. Muslims can become good citizens, patriotic and loyal to their adopted countries, tolerant and open minded to people of other religions and creeds! We merely have to imagine that it is so, and voila! Multicultural magic! 76 trombones led the big parade, with 110 cornets close behind..., whoops, sorry, I got carried away.

Liberalism Is A Fatal Form of Insanity

The fallout continues from the eight Muslim doctors who tried to bomb London. I am neither shocked nor outraged, because Muslim violence, murder and tyranny is so commonplace and so predictable these days.

What can we learn from this latest Muslim terrorism against the West? Nothing new. Nothing that we don't already know. But for the liberals who continue their deep denial, let us recount the facts.

1. The enemy is Islam. Not intolerance, not injustice, not poverty. Islam is a violent religion founded on the example and teachings of a very violent man. You must convert to Islam or die, those are your choices. (Yeah, yeah, you might be able to work out a deal to live as a slave, but that's not really an option.)

2. We can trust no Muslims in our midst. Since the major doctrines of Islam rest on continuous warfare and murder against non-Muslims, we should trust no Muslims. Many may be non-violent, but those are the ones who are not following their religion or their prophet. Sooner or later they, or their offspring, will get serious about religion again and heads, our heads, will roll.

3. Muslims should be deported from the West en masse. All mosques should be closed and all Qur'ans confiscated and burned. Liberals go ape when you say such things, but really, how different are Muslims from headhunters and cannibals? If headhunters and cannibals pointed to religion as the reason they must continue in their violent practices, using the indigenous Western populations as victims, would we not protest? Would we not close all cannibal barbecue centers and head-shrinking labs and offer them a free, one-way ticket home? Or would liberals scream about racism over that as well?

4. Liberals are fatally insane. They will support the Muslims simply because they are violent and hate us. They will demand greater numbers of Muslim immigrants. They will fund new mosques for them, give them money and benefits, and make it illegal to profile them or investigate them or keep tabs on them. Oh wait, that's what we're doing already. In any case, liberalism will seek new ways to speed up the process of our immolation at the hands of Muslims, even though they will join us in the bone yard. At least they will die feeling morally superior.

5. Nothing will change. When all the shouting is done, when the liberal politicians have made their "tolerance" speeches, when the mainstream news media has spun the whole nasty business away from public consciousness, we will all go back to sleep like good little children. Then it will all start again, as if on cue. People will die. Muslims will celebrate and explain that they are at war with all infidels everywhere. Liberals will give speeches explaining that what the Muslims meant was that they really want more social benefits. We must raise taxes and build more mosques and import more Muslims so they will finally realize how nice we are and stop being so murderous.
