Blogging vs Tax Season

Corporate tax returns are due March 15, and I will continue working on filings and extensions through next Friday. I am having an unusually busy and productive tax season.

After the season ends April 15, I will commence rethinking this blog and my approach to it. I won't quit, of course, but lately I haven't enjoyed blogging as much. I'm bored with it and bored with myself. My hits took a nosedive following our electoral defeat in November and leveled off at a new level of suckage.

I am dubious of continuing the "saving America from socialism," a meme that has failed. Perhaps now the approach of this blog should be "surviving in the post-American era."

For what it's worth, I agree with your last paragraph.

Just yesterday, I was telling one of my never-give-up friends that I believe that it's over for America. Really over. Now, we live in Amerika.

I'm glad that I'm as old as I am.

I second what AOW said. I spend more time at "survivalist" blogs than anywhere else. No - I'm not digging a bunker, but we're definitely beefing up our pantry.

Oh - and the traffic suckage is, well, sucky...

Have to agree. It's time to go into "surviving post-America" mode. I think we'll need a lot of encouragement and help. It's probably too late to change things as DC is too corrupt and only chucking 'em all out at once would give us a chance and that won't happen. My family is hunkering down.

Good idea about the pantry. Never know when the food riots will start.

Yeah, it's like waiting for the other shoe to drop. The Dims really want to institute fascist rule and sooner or later they will step over a line that compels revolution. Best to be prepared but hope it never comes.

I feel the same way.

We will be in the 28% 2013 tax brackets.
I'm happy because we are skating close to the edge and the 2014 changes will
keep us in the same tax bracket.
