Dinesh D'Souza's Errant Tale: "Hillary's America"

I heard Dinesh D'Souza on Rush Limbaugh's show this morning.  D'Souza was discussing his documentary "Hillary's America," and made some misleading or downright false remarks about the Democrat Party that deserve to be refuted.

Now I am a strong Trump supporter, conservative and Republican, and would love to see Hillary go down to a historic defeat in November.  However, I am also a Confederate descendant, and I object to false memes which attempt to blame slavery and the Ku Klux Klan on the Democratic Party.  This is dishonest reporting and a distortion of historical truth.  However, even if it were true, which it is not, it would be irrelevant to the politics of today.

Further, the Democratic Party of 1860 and the one of 2016 are not remotely the same, nor is there any thread or carryover of 19th century politics into those of the 21st century.  The 21st century Democratic Party is a very different animal from that of 150 years ago.  To attempt to smear the current party with the one of ancient history is dishonest and unfair.  Moreover, it is irrelevant.

The fact is, the modern Democratic Party is the worst version of itself since the founding of the Republic.  It is fascistic in some ways, and communistic (as in globalist) in others.  It should be totally repudiated by the American people, but for its current malfeasance, corruption and tyranny, not for the actions of another century.

If you disagree, perhaps the Democrats should label us as the party of American Indian genocide, starvation of thousands of former slaves following the War for Southern Independence, high tariffs, mass murder of civilians, crimes against humanity, and theft of Hawaii from its people.

I'll have more to say about specific claims made by D'Souza later on.  Today I have to get ready for band practice and don't have the time.
