Assassination Fantasies of the Far Left

There's a new UK movie out in which President Bush is assassinated. Oh yez, it's only fiction. Sure. What it is, is the favorite fantasy of the Far Left. Some might even say that by portraying the deed in film, its producers are in fact subtly recommending it. If you want something to happen, it is good to plant the seed in the brains of the Marxist-Muslim radicals who will do the deed.

I must say I often entertain fantasies of my own, and I'm not talking about the young lady in the next cubicle with the big gazongas. I'm talking about assassination-dreaming Leftists and Democrats who plan the impeachment of President Bush. I am not crazy about President Bush -- he's too liberal and too wishy-washy for me -- but I can't tolerate the use of assassination or impeachment as partisan political strategies.

I sometimes fantasize about a new secession of conservative states if and when the Marxist Dems once again gain the reins of government. I wonder if a shooting war, a new Civil War, is possible. I think about my 1911 Colt 45 and the large holes it makes. I wonder how far I would have to be pushed before considering its use outside of target practice. The truth is, pretty far. I'm the kind of guy who kicks spiders out of my house rather than stepping on them. But even I have my limits.

So Lefties, do think twice before you decide to do something that radical, whether it be assassination or impeachment. Actions always have consequences, so make sure your actions are just and honorable.

We Rightwingers also have occasional fantasies, and we're all members of the NRA.

Thought For Today: Defy Islam

Defy Islam. Withhold from it all respect and all fear of its violence and hatred. Islam is the Religion of Hell, the religion of a false prophet, a 7th century band of cutthroats, rapists, liars, murderers and thieves. To follow Islam is to follow the darkest corners of the human soul.

The patience of a long-suffering, decent humanity is wearing dangerously thin and the day is coming when it will demand justice for its grievances. The bearded fools in turbans should tremble and prepare to meet the real God, whose name is not Allah.

Defy and deny the lie. Reject Islam, withhold from it all respect and all tolerance for its evil.

Sixty Years of Prayer at the Western Wall

In Jerusalem, a female journalist heard about a very old Jewish man who had been going to the Western Wall to pray, twice a day, everyday, for a long, long time. So she went to check it out. She went to the Western Wall and there he was!

She watched him pray and after about 45 minutes, when he turned to leave, she approached him for an interview.

"I'm Rebecca Smith from CNN. Sir, how long have you been coming to the Western Wall and praying?"

For about 60 years."

"60 years! That's amazing! What do you pray for?"

"I pray for peace between the Christians, Jews and the Muslims. I pray for all the hatred to stop and I pray for all our children to grow up in safety and friendship."

"How do you feel after doing this for 60 years?"

"Like I'm talking to a f*ckin' wall!

Fox Reporter Has "Highest Respect" for Islam

The two Fox reporters, Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig, were released by their Muslim captors yesterday. They had been held as prisoners since their kidnapping at gunpoint on August 14.

The two men were forced at gunpoint to "convert" to Islam and to make anti-American comments for the Muslim cameras. I don't begrudge them that - when in the hands of uncivilized barbarians, you do what you must to survive. However, it is Centanni's asinine comment after release that frosts me. He said, "We were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint. Don't get me wrong here. I have the highest respect for Islam, and I learned a lot of good things about it, but it was something we felt we had to do because they had the guns, and we didn't know what the hell was going on."

If Centanni has the "highest respect" for such evil, maybe he should keep the Muslim robe they gave him so he can wear it to prayers in the local Mosque. One wonders how indelible the mental brainwashing known as "political correctness" really is, when one who survives murder by barbarians feels compelled to "respect" their primitive beliefs.

Let's interview a Muslim captive now and see what he has to say about it.

Saber Point: Well Mr. Captive, how do you feel about Islam now that your Muslim captors are beheading you?

Captive: Well, I have always had the greatest respect for Islam. I hear it has a lot of good in it. We shouldn't condemn the whole religion just because 98.6% of its adherents are lethally violent. Why, my mama used to say "GURGLE GURGLE GASP."

Saber Point: Your mama said that? Oh, I see, you couldn't speak clearly as the butcher knife was slicing through your esophagus. Hey, watch it, you're bleeding on my shoes.

Captive:

Captive:

Saber Point: Well that seems to conclude our interview. We rest our point.

Butt-Ugly SF Chronicle Writer Insults Ann Coulter

Michelle Malkin has a story about how our local Leftist Rag, the San Francisco Chronicle, has an article today that is vicious in its personal insults of Ann Coulter.

The article was written by one Butt-Ugly Frisco Fruit named Peter Hartlaub, the "Culture" Editor of the Frisco Chronicle's online edition, SFGate.com. Seems Peter Hardthrob thinks Ann Coulter looks like a horse, but then that may be the usual perspective for a Horse's Ass like Hardthrob.

Do leave this Butt-Ugly moron a response to his article at the link above. Here's what I wrote:

Anyone as Butt-ugly as Peter Hartlaub ought to think twice before insulting a woman as intelligent and beautiful as Ann Coulter. I notice how you Lefties are good at personal insults and character assassination, but truly pathetic in any real debate. Not a one of you has even attempted to refute Coulter on any serious topic. The reason is, you can't. I really enjoy watching Coulter make mincemeat out of her liberal opponents in debate, it is truly wonderful to watch.

Ann Coulter is a beautiful woman, but the truth is, she's still more of a man than Peter Hartlaub.
As for Ann Coulter compared to Mr. Butt-Ugly, I'll let you decide who's better looking.

Was There a Second Plane on the Grassy Knoll?

The degree of delusion and paranoia coming from the Left these days is truly amazing. If the Left fought terrorism and tyranny with the same zeal they fight reality, it would be a peaceful world in no time.

One of the ways the Left dispenses with the nasty obligation to oppose tyranny is to simply deny that it exists. They have no responsibility to respond to Islamic atrocities if the atrocities were all faked by their own government. For that reason, imagining a massive conspiracy by the Bush administration relieves them of a lot of psychic pain and feelings of obligation. Conspiracy theories afford Liberals the ultimate in denial of personal responsibility. How can we ask them to support the President, the military, the war on terror, since support for all of these is unnecessary? The whole thing was faked for political reasons, to fire up support for the Republicans, increase the military budget, and put millions of new dollars into the coffers of Bush McHalliburton while stomping on non-white third-worlders in a capitalistic orgy of militaristic, racist war-mongering. Or something like that.

With the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 atrocity looming, we can expect to hear these paranoid delusions dusted off and given new life; indeed, I would expect even the "mainstream" of Democratic Party leaders to lend some credence to them. (The quotes around mainstream denote my extreme skepticism that, with the demise of Joe Lieberman's candidacy, a Democrat mainstream even exists.)

Lefty Nutcase trolls have been pushing these conspiracy theories at some conservative blogs and websites, Chronwatch in particular. Recently they have been pushing the notion that an airplane did not slam into the Pentagon, that Flight 77 did not even exist. (That must be terribly comforting to the families of those passengers who simply disappeared on that day.)

The Chronwatch Forum provided the links below to prove that Flight 77 did indeed slam into the Pentagon, and rebuttals of some of the conspiracy theorists' key claims. You may find them entertaining as well as informative.

It was a plane that tore into the Pentagon on 9/11. This is from Snopes: http://www.snopes.com/rumors/pentagon.htm

Blogger's Memorial to 9/11 Victims

Michelle Malkin alerted us bloggers to participate in the memorial of the 9/11 tragedy. The blogger's memorial requires each participating blogger to memorialize one of the 9/11 victims on September 11, 2006.

I signed up in time, as the 2,996 victims were assigned on a first come first serve basis. I will be memorializing Robert D. Colin, Age 49, who was killed at the World Trade Center. He was from West Babylon, New York.

There isn't much on him on the internet, so I may try and contact friends and family for more details and pictures of his life.

Robert D. Colin. A working guy who went to work one day and died. There but for the grace of God go all of us.

The Emerging Reality of the Middle East

UPDATE: Lawrence Auster at View From the Right sums it all up quite accurately and succinctly today. He writes:
  1. Islam is the problem.
  2. However, we do not have the ability to destroy Islam.
  3. Nor do we have the ability to democratize Islam.
  4. Nor do we have the ability to assimilate Islam.
  5. Therefore, the only solution is to separate ourselves from Islam.
Diana West at Townhall.com has written a great speech for President Bush, a speech he should give but never will. Through her fictitious Bush speech, West advocates what Serge Trifkovic did in his last book on Jihad: the de-islamization of the West, not the democratization of the Middle East.

Personally, I think Bush is wrong in his belief that all people in all cultures yearn for "freedom," i.e. democratic forms of government, tolerant, liberal and pluralistic societies. Clearly, most Muslims do not yearn for that. They yearn for the restoration of the Caliphate and the institution of sharia throughout the world.

We all see reality through our own cultural lens and it is easy to believe that our own prejudices and preferences are the laws of nature. They aren't. Conservatives make that mistake when they believe all cultures will welcome pluralism and democracy. Liberals make that mistake when they believe hostile cultures can be pacified through sweet talk, trust and understanding.

The current effort to bring democracy to the Middle East will fail as long as Islam is the dominant ideology in that part of the world. Removing this deeply ingrained mindset would be very difficult and take many decades.

West argues that when dedicated Muslims have the vote, they will vote in sharia law under which women have second class status and other religions are suppressed and subject to dhimmitude. That is what is happening in Afghanistan and Iraq right now. Democratization, without first forcibly removing Islam, is a fool's errand.

Do we want to forcibly remove Islam from the world? Would it be worth the cost in blood and money? No, at least not in my book, not at this juncture in history. I would prefer to cut them off and let them die on the vine.

A better strategy is to isolate Islam so it cannot harm us. That means stopping all Muslim immigration into the West, and in the case of Europe, massive deportations of those already there. It means achieving energy independence in practical ways, i.e., by domestic drilling for oil in Alaska and off our coasts, by building many more oil refineries, and by building many more nuclear power plants. Leave the hydrogen cars and switch grass for long-term, future development: radical new energy sources are not a practical solution for the forseeable future.

When the Muslim nations no longer have our oil wealth, they can't buy expensive military hardware and munitions and they can no longer blackmail us economically. Let them eat sand.

Having a forward base in the Middle East to deter Islamic aggression is a good idea, but it doesn't have to be Iraq or any of the Muslim nations. Let's move our military forces out of Korea and Europe and Iraq and base them in Israel.

Reading the Qur'an and Zell Miller

I recently started reading the Qur'an and have read the first four chapters. It isn't an easy task, as the book is repetitive and often shallow. It's also just plain boring. So far I have learned that you must fight in Allah's way against the unbelievers, who you can and can't marry, how to divide up an inheirtance in various scenarios where there are so many man or so many women, and how to cure dhiarrhea in camels. Okay, I just made up that last part.

I have read a lot about the Qur'an, but not the actual Qur'an itself. Some leftist airhead recently suggested I read the Qur'an to learn of the errors of my ways, i.e., believing that Muslims are anything but gentle lambs in headscarves. So I decided he's right, I need to read it so I can say that I've read it, and thus cut off this leftist argument from the start.

So far everything I've read has been accurately cited or described by other writers. In other words, I have not yet encountered any great revelations about the heretofore unrecognized peaceful attributes of Islam. Maybe President Bush read a different translation.

Reading the Qur'an is difficult because the book is not organized logically. Whoever put it together, in the swirling mists of the ancient past (a little color there), organized it by the size of the chapters. The longest chapter is first, then the next longest, and so forth. It wasn't put together in chronological order, in the order of "revelation" or historical sequence. It was put together in order of size. Well Mohammed always did believe that "size counts."

Another slight problem is that maybe as much as one-fifth of the Qur'anic verses are nonsense, as in "devoid of all meaning whatsoever." I don't know exactly why this is, but Arabs brag about the great poetic qualities of the Qur'an, how wonderful and musical it sounds when recited in Arabic. I suspect that when Mo and minions needed a rhyming word to finish off a verse, and they couldn't think of a real one, they just made one up. Sort of like this:

All the gold and gorgeous gams of captured women
Belong to Mo so he can go swimmin'
So hand over the loot, oh ye Mujahadeen
Or I'll split your head open with my wackytureen.

This is just an example, not an actual verse from the Qur'an. To further illustrate, if the last word "wackytureen" makes too much sense, substitute a nonsense word of your own that rhymes. Have fun with it, you too can be a Qur'anic scholar.

So I will keep reading the Qur'an, safe in the knowledge that the experience will keep me out of Hell. God no doubt figures that if you've read the Qur'an, you've suffered enough. I will need to lay in a good supply of stogies, however, so I can do something pleasurable to offset the reading experience.

Another book I am reading, one much more profound than the Qur'an, is Zell Miller's book, "A National Party No More," about the downfall of the Democrats. Zell Miller was the US Senator from Georgia, and before that, Governor of Georgia. Reading his book is like sitting around a cast iron stove in an old-fashioned country market, smoking corn cob pipes and shooting the bull about friends, family and places. It is as Southern as cornpone and as warm and pleasurable as a snootful of Southern Comfort.

Zell talks about his mom, an extraordinary woman who built her home from stones she dug out of the creek, a home Zell still lives in today. His stories of people and places are rustic and down-home tales of old fashioned values of hard work, good character and determination. I am enjoying it. There was only one part that disturbed me, slightly, and that's when Zell tries to establish his credentials as an enlightened liberal by quoting (you guessed it) To Kill A Mockingbird.

Zell is referring to the time in his governorship when he got into trouble for trying to take the Confederate battleflag out of the Georgia State flag. We all know how tough Zell was when he debated that lefty commentator Chris Matthews and gave him hell for beating up on Michelle Malkin. However, back in 1994 at the height of the Georgia flag fight, it was a different story: Zell got his butt whipped good in debate.

That beating was supplied by a friend of mine, Charles P. Lunsford of Atlanta, like me a life member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, who debated Zell about the flag on the Larry King Live show and, to our shock and disbelief, whipped Zell's ass. I was mad at Zell for a long time after that and only changed my mind about him when he bawled out Chris Matthews. Okay Zell, I guess we can pass you the moonshine jug once again. But shut up about Atticus Finch. You ain't him and we ain't the lynch mob, even if we do like the Confederate flag.

Here in Podunk County, the weather has been cool lately, redolent of Fall, and it is quite pleasant to sit in my backyard gazebo after work and puff and read, my dog at my feet and God overhead. Now if I just had a jug of corn squeezin's life would be at a peak. Oh, and Aunty Belle, you can come and share it with me, but bring your own corncob pipe.
