Liberalism, or the Concept of Original Guilt

I got this piece off of Chronwatch.com as a letter to the editor regarding an article about Wall Mart. The writer makes such scintillating observations on the nature and attitude of liberalism that I decided to reprint it.

------------------------

Libs hate Wal-Mart because it is a success, and they are not successes. Or, if they are successes, they're ashamed of it, because they suffer from Original Guilt (even if they are neither Catholic nor Jewish nor Lutheran). And they feel that they are unworthy to succeed if anybody else anywhere else is failing, or even slightly less successful than themselves, even though it is none of their fault.

The unspoken unconscious psychological drama of the left is: I don't know what I did, exactly, but mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa. And so are you!

Naturally, they project their Original Guilt onto everybody else. Anybody who is more successful than anyone else has committed the Liberal Mortal Sin of Unegalitarianism.
