Who Is Charles Johnson? Who Cares?

Apparently the New York Times has profiled Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs.  According to The Other McCain, the Times' article was surprisingly fair: it does not make Johnson look good.

Charles Johnson was once seen as a ground-breaking, conservative blogger; he had an enormous following.  In 2007 he started to change direction, heading leftward.  Now his biggest claim to fame is that he abandoned the Right because of our incipient homophobia, Islamophobia and racism.  However, the Left isn't buying Charley's new shtick either.  Charley is a fake and most people know it.  Charley's only real ideology is his own narcissistic need for attention.

I no longer consider Charles Johnson a viable threat to conservatism.  I removed my "Ban Charles Johnson" logo from my sidebar -- I don't really think it's needed any more.  CJ is passé.  In the future I intend to mention him sparingly if at all.

Goodbye Charley.  Enjoy your anonymity.

Is Charles Johnson (of LGF) a Transvestite Cross-Dresser?

Over at his transvestite (1) website, Charles Johnson, when he isn't trying on pantyhose (2), likes to disparage conservative pundits and bloggers with outrageous smears.  For instance, he regularly refers, venomously and falsely, to Robert S. McCain as a "white supremacist" and his blog The Other McCain as a "white supremacist website," which of course, it is not.

Crazy Charley (see him in drag in the photo on the left) has become as mad as the hatter in "Alice in Wonderland." Increasingly withdrawn from the real world, Crazy Charley has surrounded himself with a shrinking circle of ass-kissing sycophants.  He and his blog have been often parodied as Hitler hiding in his bunker while Russian shells destroy Berlin above him, surrounded by his last loyal Generals who vow to die with him.  It is an apt comparison.

At his pathetic blog, Little Green Footballs, Charley doesn't allow unregistered visitors to comment on his unending paranoid rants, thereby adding a reality check to someone who desperately needs one.  Charley can't debate because the facts are not on his side, he can't form a coherent argument and because he has a very thin skin and cannot bear any disagreement or criticism.

Charley will not be disabused of his delusions and refuses to take his Thorazine (3), with the result that the Mad Hatter of the Blogosphere continues to rant, insult, libel and slime anyone who is more successful at blogging than he is, namely, Michele Malkin and Robert Stacy McCain.  Lately he has a new ass-kissing toadie in the guise of one Barrett Brown.  Ain't that cute, but as Jack Nicholson once quipped, "Go sell crazy someplace else -- we're all stocked up here."

Barrett Brown has criticized McCain for once using the name of a "slave-holding Confederate general" as a pseudonym while making posts to various websites.  Gee, you mean like Nathan Bedford Forrest?  My great grandpappy rode with him and I'm proud of it!  Terrible, terrible.

Perhaps McCain should have used "George Washington" as a pseudonym instead.  Oh wait.  Washington was a slave owner.  Oh I know!  Thomas Jefferson!  No, he owned slaves too.  How about Ulysses S. Grant?  No, even the great Yankee general reportedly owned a couple his wife used as maids (and who reportedly stated that if  he "thought the Civil War was to end slavery, he would resign [his] commission and offer his sword to the other side.")  William Penn?  Profligate slave owner.  I could go on, but you get the idea.

As a matter of fact, with the exception of John Jay and a few others, most of the Founding Fathers were either slave owners, slave brokers or otherwise believed in the institution.  Maybe McCain could have called himself "Abraham Lincoln."  Well, Lincoln never owned slaves, thought the institution was wicked and immoral, but he was definitely a white supremacist who wanted to deport all American blacks somewhere outside the United States.  So if he used Abraham Lincoln as his pseudonym, Barrett Brown could then say that "McCain used the name of a well-known white supremacist as a pseudonym, thereby proving by association that McCain is himself a white supremacist."  A biased author (like Brown) can slant it many ways, depending on the factors he wants to attribute to his target.

Well I can tell you, Barrett, that Stacy McCain does not agree with slavery and, like me, like Robert E. Lee, and like most other modern-day Confederate descendants, think it was evil.  However, men of history lived in other times, circumstances and social mores.  It is asinine to judge these people by 21st century standards and 145 years of hindsight.  We can, however, legitimately admire these men for the attributes still admired in modern times: leadership, courage, patriotism, sacrifice, dedication and honor.

Did it ever occur to you that there are legitimate things to admire in these men of history regardless of slavery?  No, because you are an idiot who is ignorant of history.  And your attempt to twist this legitimate admiration into modern-day "racism" or "white supremacy" will only get you a well-kicked ass in blog debates.

Notes referenced above:
(1) Charley's website is as much of a "transvestite website" as R.S. McCain's is a "white supremacist website."  If Charley can brazenly lie like a dog, it is only fair to give him a taste of his own medicine.
(2) I do not know for certain whether CJ tries on pantyhose or not, but then he doesn't know that McCain is a "white supremacist" or not.  My observation bears the same empirical proof offered by crazy Charley about McCain's alleged "racism," which is nothing more than my fanciful imagination.
(3) I do not know for sure if CJ has a prescription for Thorazine, but he should certainly ask his shrink for one, ASAP.

The American Revolution: How Much Do You Know?

Charles Johnson is claiming that conservative Tea Partiers, who show up at Tea Parties in 18th century costumes, don't really know much about the American Revolution.  He points to an online test, saying that the average score of people taking the test is only 44%.  Only 17% pass the test.  Charlie doesn't say if he took the test personally or what his score was.  However, he thinks it funny that us so-called "patriots" know so little about American history.

Charles Johnson Jumps the Lizard

It has been obvious for some time that Charles Johnson has mental problems.  His blog, Little Green Footballs, is a mix of paranoia and venom.  Once LFG was a celebrated blog, widely quoted and respected by conservatives but hated by liberals.

Then Charley started going off the deep end, running a continuous pogrom against any and all registered LGF members for frivolous reasons.  Members became afraid to say anything, lest they be banned for some innocent remark.

Charley became deeply paranoid and began imagining that "fascists" were behind anti-Islamic individuals and groups in Europe.  In Charley's mind, it logically followed that all who associated with said individuals or groups must be fascist themselves.  And then there were the omnipresent racist hordes, the white supremacists, the kooks of every stripe and shape ready to pounce from under a bridge or rock, or maybe Charley's bed.  Perhaps a prescription for Thorazine would make them go away, but no, Charley has his own solution:  Ban everyone!  Trust no one!  Denounce everyone!  And so many members did go away, and many more readers with them.  After all, who wants a steady diet of paranoid rants?

Today Charles Johnson has announced his official move away from conservatism into liberalism.  However, his big announcement is rather anti-climactic.  He broke with the right many months ago and today's move is merely a ploy to bring some traffic to his diminishing blog.  The truth is that Charles Johnson is boring and Little Green Footballs a shriveling force in the blogosphere.

So to any liberals out there who celebrate Johnson's great move to the left, you are welcome to him and whatever is left of his mind.

Charles Johnson is Certifiably Insane

Pamela Geller says Charles Johnson accused her of posting photos yesterday of Brits giving the Nazi salute.  Johnson, of Little Green Footballs blog, was referring to Geller's coverage of the English Defence League's protest of creeping Sharia and the Islamization of the U.K.

I went back through the pictures she posted and there were no Nazi salutes to be found.  Johnson is increasingly paranoid, mendacious and libelous.  He is the sort that author Laird Wilcox described as a "bullying, moralizing fanatic."  Does Charley want to finish off his shrinking credibility in the blog world?  If so, he couldn't do better than behaving like the raving lunatic he has become.

In other words, LEAVE LGF and never look back.  Do it right away!  Join the growing ranks of former lizards.  You'll be glad you did!

Robert Stacy McCain: "I have never advocated, endorsed or supported" racism

Over the last couple of weeks Robert S. McCain has been vigorously smeared as a "racist" and "white supremacist."  These smears were mostly disseminated  by the libel blogger Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs, as well as one of his chief acolytes, Kejda Gjermani.

Today R.S. McCain denies any connection to racism, white supremacy or white separatism and gives some insights into how the Big Smear was started and propagated.   He explains in his post "Is It True What They Say About Stacy McCain?"  In an email to a commenter's question, he explained:

What often puzzles my left-wing adversaries is this: Despite all of these false smears on my good name, yet I continue to succeed as a journalist. This has at times caused people to accuse those who employ me of being complicit in some hateful doctrine -- call it "racism" or whatever -- that I am sure I've never advocated, endorsed or supported. The reason I continue to be employed however, is for my knowledge and skill as a researcher, writer, reporter and editor, and not for any mere opinion on any particular subject.

Something else, sir: PEOPLE KNOW ME. If I were a Klan/Nazi type, surely this would have come to someone's attention by now. What has happened, rather, is a this-that-and-the-other sort of recycling of the same familiar accusations, like the one you asked me about. Because people who know me understand that I am not a racial "supremacist" or "separatist" -- I have no theory or doctrine and am certainly no more "racist" than you are -- they do not allow themselves to be fooled or frightened into thinking that I live a secret double-life: Mild-mannered Clark Kent who ducks into a phone booth and emerges with the incredible superpowers of AryanMan!

The Changing Masthead of Little Green Footballs: Jihadis No Longer the Enemy?

Back in March 2007, the celebrated conservative cartoonists Cox and Forkum designed a new masthead for Little Green Footballs.  It's the one on the bottom of the attached image.  It showed a radical leftist and a Jihadi terrorist reacting in horror to the little green football bouncing in their direction.

The image on top is LGF's current masthead with the figures removed.

The removal is actually appropriate in an unfortunate way:  radical leftists and Jihadi terrorists no longer have anything to fear from Little Green Footballs.  Sad.

Charles Johnson Rides Into the Sunset

The author of the post (John Rohan) shows his conversation with CJ via screen captures of their online comments.  Rohan wants to know why CJ bans so many of his registered users for seemingly frivolous reasons, including voting a comment up or down or disagreeing with CJ.  CJ's responses are interesting and paranoid.  Finally, CJ bans Rohan for asking too many embarrassing questions.

Johnson's behavior continues to be alarming and strange.  I am reminded of Humphrey Bogart's portrayal of Captain Queeg in "The Caine Mutiny."  (Queeg was the captain of a U.S. Navy ship who was relieved of command after exhibiting unstable behavior.)

Rohan once had a productive and beneficial association with Little Green Footballs, which he describes fully, and is sad to see what LGF has become.  However, in the end he has to just pull the plug.  The patient cannot be resuscitated.  He deletes his link to Little Green Footballs (as so many of us have done over the past year or so) and substitutes a new one for Powerline (who deleted their LGF link just last week).

Rohan takes no joy in ending his association with LGF.  He notes that, while the liberals have a number of large blogs like Huffington Post, Move-On and Democrat Underground, we conservatives have fewer and smaller sites.  The conservative movement suffered when Charles Johnson's brain went South.  But Charley has rode into the sunset and it's time to find a new and better horse to hitch our wagons to.

Robert Stacy McCain: I Know Him Better Than Charles Johnson Does

This week Robert Stacy McCain of "The Other McCain" was denounced as a "White Supremacist" by Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs.  Over the past year or so Johnson appears to be undergoing some kind of mental breakdown:  he has renounced previous conservative allies like Michelle Malkin, Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer.  Read through his blog and see for yourself:  the tone seems nearly hysterical, like a conspiracy nut trying desperately to convince the world of his irrational world view.

Stacy, as his friends like to call him, has written three rebuttals to Johnson:

1.  Point One:  Charles Johnson doesn't know me from Adam's house cat

2.  Point Two:  Charles Johnson is prejudiced, and subscribes to stereotypes

3.  Point Three:  Charles Johnson will regret it but once, and that will be continually

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has slimed Stacy in the past, just as they have libeled other conservatives, with the "racist" or "white supremacist" label, including David Horowitz and Michelle Malkin.  Stacy says he will not write about how this all came about unless he is paid to do so.  However, I know some of the back story that few others do, because I went through it with Stacy.

In the 1990's we were involved in heritage groups dedicated to refuting and rebutting Yankee historians and modern day enemies over what the Southern Confederacy was and what it means to us.  We were both members of a heritage group, the League of the South, that has also subsequently been slimed by the SPLC.  

Stacy and I were involved in online discussions (aka "the great listserv debates") with a large group of interested people and, of course, the issue of race and race relations came up and was hotly debated.  Should blacks, Jews and others be allowed into our fold?  Stacy, I and others said, "absolutely!"  There were some bigots in the group who wanted to add a racial component to our movement but Stacy (and I and others) strenuously opposed it.  Stacy was an outspoken leader of the non-racist faction; he denounced racism as dishonorable and wrong.  We fought the bigots together and took a lot of heat for our stand.  Nevertheless, a New York Press reporter named Michaelangelo Signorile misattributed another's comments on interracial marriage to McCain.  These errors were subsequently picked up by other bloggers (as well as the SPLC) and spread.  Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs is the most recent purveyor of these falsehoods.

AllExperts, an online encyclopedia, corrects the record, noting:

Signorile claimed McCain had posted this to a site called Reclaiming the South. In fact, that site is maintained by [White Supremacist] Dennis Wheeler, who posted emails by McCain, George Kalas, Gary Waltrip and others, from a debate on a private email list. McCain, Kalas, Waltrip, et al., strongly criticized Wheeler's efforts to get the League of the South (then known as the Southern League) to adopt Wheeler's own white separatist views. McCain wrote of such racial views: "[W]e should not stomach the promulgation of odious and hateful doctrines. We must reject all such doctrines. The truth is not in them." 

Despite McCain's protests about the errors in Signorile's column [2], the errors continued to be repeated by other bloggers, some of whom further falsely attributed to McCain words written by League of the South president Michael Hill. [3]

One of the subjects discussed in the above debates was the book "The Bell Curve," which purported to show that blacks had a lower average IQ than other racial groups.  Stacy refused to believe it, saying he did not believe that God would do such a thing to black people.  In fact, he brought up other authors and books to refute the Bell Curve.  If that's "racism" I'll eat my Confederate flag.

In fact, if Robert Stacy McCain is a "racist" or "white supremacist," I will personally show up on Charles Johnson's doorstep and kiss his ass with a loud, slobbery smack.  

Robert Stacy McCain is a fine man of outstanding character and hasn't a trace of racism or white-supremacist philosophy anywhere in his soul.  I know, because I knew him and worked with him long before most of you ever heard his name.  He has consistently supported racial equality and opposed race hatred. 

Charles Johnson, whatever else he may be or believe, is a reckless and careless reporter.  He deserves no credibility whatsoever.

Charles Johnson Should Know

I rarely read the blog "Little Green Footballs" any more. I have discovered that, as time goes by, I have less and less in common with its owner, Charles Johnson. Frankly, he acts like someone who is developing a brain chemistry imbalance. If so, he should consider a psychotropic medication like Prozac or Paxil. Personally I prefer Zoloft. Since I started taking it, I notice the ax murders are fewer and further between. Yes, we don't see that much of Mr. Hyde anymore.

Charley's latest gambit is to trash Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch and to oppose Geert Wilders. Seems Charley is very adamant about the right of individuals to freedom of religion, apparently any religion, regardless of their practices, e.g. honor killings, genital mutilation, wife beating, polygamy, jihad, insistence on Sharia rather than democracy. No doubt Aztecs performing human sacrifices of virgins would be just fine with him. You can't oppose "freedom of religion" after all. Charley is so open-minded and tolerant that he would probably accept an invitation to dinner by a tribe of cannibals, and never notice when they shove an apple in his mouth and push him into a big pot of boiling water.

Another of Charley's annoying habits is that he has become a fanatical supporter of Charles Darwin and the theory of evolution. That's fine if that's your bag, but every other post is an ideological screed in support of this pseudo-science. Who cares?

Evolution, says Charley is absolutely true and beyond criticism. Today he was running an article entitled "Transitional Fossils Do Exist."

Charley should know. He's one of them.

Pirates and Other Scalawags

The Somali pirates have seized 38 ships so far this year, the latest an oil supertanker with a $100 million cargo. I don't know about you, but I find this annoying. The pirates are taking the supertanker to their lair in Somalia. Why an armed force doesn't just move in and destroy the place is beyond me. It seems to me that shipping companies ought to be arming their freighters to resist such attacks. Hide a squad of marines on a few ships and when approached by the pirates, kill the bastards. The pirates wouldn't know which ships would be so armed. It could be a kind of surprise: they'd never know which ships would be armed and ready for them.

Pirates on the high seas aren't the only scalawags who annoy me. Some idiots in Texas have indicted Dick Cheney and two other federal officials for alleged offenses against inmates of federal prisons. I'm sure Dick Cheney was in those prisons overseeing the abuses, the walls echoing with his evil laughter as the poor innocent criminals were mistreated. No, it sounds more like another Democrat political stunt, an attempt to criminalize any political opposition to leftist rule. We have seen these stunts too many times before.

Hey, we'll be back in power sooner than you think, Libbies. Maybe we can indict a few Democrats on treason charges one of these days. After all, my understanding is that there is no statute of limitation for treason, and we are patient.

Then there's the brouhaha over Joe Lieberman. The Left wanted to fix his wagon for supporting McCain over Obama and considered taking away his committee chairmanship as punishment. Since Lieberman supports many Democrat initiatives, this would have been politically asinine. They might have encouraged Lieberman to register as a Republican, further preventing a Democrat supermajority. Harry Reid, the bete noir on the Senate whose frowning and bitter face is so often depicted in news photographs, was pushing for the punishment. Allegedly, Obama told him to back off as Obama needs Lieberman's support and isn't dumb enough to shoot himself in the foot for petty revenge.

A fourth scalawag is Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs. Johnson regularly purges his ranks of subscribers for disagreeing with him. Since Charley thinks everyone to his right is a racist or a Nazi, why, you must be a racist or a Nazi if you disagree with him. Ask Robert Spencer or Pamela Geller or Gates of Vienna or several others who have been deemed ideologically unacceptable to C.J.

Charley's ticked off because some blog called "The Infidel Blogger's Award" has him as one of the choices in a vote-your-favorite poll. The poll is for the "biggest pro-censorship ass-hat." Charley's winning that one handily. I voted for him. No need to thank me, Charley.

Charles Johnson Attacks Lawrence Auster

Heads roll in latest LGF purge

Charles Johnson and his troop of toadies at Little Green Footballs have attacked Lawrence Auster of View From the Right.

Following a post called "White Supremacists for Obama," the predictable member thread discussed all the Neo-Nazis, Klan and white supremacists on the Right.

Actually there aren't many except in the minds of Charles Johnson and his amen chorus. But when Charles gets his oh-look-how-liberal-I-am freak on, heads have to roll and virgins sacrificed to the Lizard God.

Among the names of the white supremacists and fascists thrown out were, among others, Peter Brimelow, Jared Taylor, Gordon Lee Baum and Lawrence Auster. Some of these names are certainly suspect, but Lawrence Auster? The thread quickly focused on Auster when some LGF lizards dared defend him.

Ten or twelve LGF members had their accounts promptly terminated for disagreeing with the group over Auster's alleged fascism. If you disagree that someone is a fascist, it is proof that you too are a fascist, or so CJ seems to think. In any case, LGF has had another of its many purges, with members banned for miniscule reasons. Merely voting up or down on a comment can get your membership instantly deleted if Charles disagrees with your vote. After being a member of LGF for a short time, it becomes obvious that you are not to express opinions of your own, but merely to reflect the great leader's opinion. It reminds me a bit of Stalinist Russia, with ongoing purges and pogroms. Every thread, every link, every vote is a chance to prove your loyalty to Charles; fail to do so and you are likely to be purged.

In this latest pogrom Charles Johnson once again comes off looking petty, mean, intolerant and paranoid, a cyber bully to his own members.

I don't always agree with Lawrence Auster; I think he is unnecessarily antagonistic towards some conservatives I really like, like Jonah Goldberg and Mark Steyn. Larry and I have had our arguments. But Larry is no fascist or Neo-Nazi or racist. He is a traditional conservative and one of the best critical thinkers I know. He routinely defends Israel.

LGF is still a valuable site to consult, but it has a kind of smell to it for me now. Sort of smells like...liberal mind control. LGF is no place for independent thinkers. I find myself consulting it maybe once a week, where I used to consult it several times a day.

Update: My estimate of three people banned in the latest LGF purge was a bit low. People at the scene are reporting 10 to 12. Here are some comments the purged members made to Lawrence Auster:

Auster: As I said some while ago, by his intolerance Charles has become that which he professes to most loathe.

Larry--It was good talking to you.... The final total over at LGF's banning party was 12, 7 of which are connected to Discarded Lies. The lizards seem to think that they have overthrown some secret cabal of fascist sympathizers who were this close to discrediting the Great Leader but for his heroic and timely action. It takes a bit to move me to anger on this kind of stuff, but the way in which Johnson is treating people really shocks me.

Stogie's conclusions: As I mentioned before, some of the people discussed in the LGF thread are indeed suspect, Gordon Lee Baum in particular. Baum is a white supremacist. I know, because I've read his newsletter, from his group the Council of Conservative Citizens. Baum once denounced me for having a non-white wife. Jared Taylor is suspect in my mind; his magazine American Renaissance is read by a lot of neo-Nazis who like its racialist reporting. The others mentioned are not that familar to me.

The rule seems to be: be careful in your associations, but don't be paranoid either. When you're the latter, innocent people get hurt.

Little Green Footballs: Group-Think at Work

Charles Johnson just can't leave the evolutionist-heretics alone. At Little Green Footballs today he has a very poor poem by one of his readers (Winslow) called "Once Upon the Internet." In it the "poet" writes verses such as these:

And then, with logic so perverse it hurts to render it in verse, The charge was made that atheism is religious faith.

And even Orwell would be awed by language so profoundly flawed, For logically, religious faith is therefore non-belief.

To try to cast theology as natural philosophy Is clearly what Intelligent Designers have in mind.

Charles is obviously offended by those who do not believe the theory of evolution is a proven fact, hence his daily arrows against them. A couple of days ago he linked to another dismissive post, this one on Zamblog by Zombie (whom I've praised several times in posts). Zombie was also highly critical of the evolutionist nay-sayers and gave a link to John Derbyshire's essay knocking Ben Stein's movie ("Expelled") on the subject. Derbyshire attacked the film as a piece of creationist "porn" and "a blood libel on our civilization." Zombie said he agreed with Derbyshire.

In the piece, however, Derbyshire admitted that he hadn't even seen the movie. His criticisms of it were merely what he imagined its content to be. Wow, what scholarship! This is similar to all those liberals at Amazon.com writing vicious reviews of conservative books that they've never read.

A better scholar, David Berlinski, also writing at National Review Online, takes Derbyshire to task and rips him a new one at this link.

The truth is, Charles Johson is no conservative, and neither are some of his slavish ass-kissers. They are dismissive of Christians and other religious folk, and assume, smugly and arrogantly, that their atheistic beliefs are "truth."

Group-Think is an ugly thing and it has always turned me off. It's even worse in an atmosphere of implied threat, i.e. that the host will ban you from his forum if you dare to disagree. LGF is one of these, where the Great Leader pontificates and his minions bow and scrape to support his prejudices and beliefs, lest they be summarily ostracized from the community. It's similar to what you might see at any college or university today -- the mindset is liberal and leftist, and the social ostracism, intimidation and poor grades reserved for the brave few who speak out against it. That's not for me. I think my days as a Lizard are over.

As for Winslow's lame verse above, atheism is, in fact, a form of faith, just as theism is. Atheism is simply a kind of negative faith. One person looks at the cosmos and decides there must be a higher power and a higher purpose. He has a positive, optimistic kind of faith. Another looks at the cosmos and decides it must be a meaningless accident with no purpose whatsoever. He has a negative, pessimistic kind of faith.

Whereas both observers have faith (i.e. belief that is not based on provable facts), the latter believes his faith is factual knowledge (or "science") and that he is very deep thinker and brainy sort. As a corollary, since he is so brainy and brilliant, the optimist observer must necessarily be superstitious and ignorant, and laughably so.

The truth is, the latter observer (the pessimist/atheist) is rather shallow. Sort of like Winslow and a plethora of other CJ butt-kissers at Little Green Footballs.

Our Future Conquest by Islam

Little Green Footballs blog is bashing Gates of Vienna blog again. Yesterday, Gates of Vienna had a guest author who discussed the Muslim problem in Europe and possible solutions. That writer came uncomfortably close to implying that genocide might be a last-ditch solution. He wasn't advocating it, just saying that a desperate Europe might be pushed to resort to it unless things change. It was a stupid article and should not have been posted. Gates of Vienna should have foreseen the negative reaction it deservedly provoked.

Nevertheless, the growing Muslim presence in Europe is a serious threat to freedom and pluralistic democracy there. Unless something is done, Europe will be comprised of Islamic nations in 50 years. The Muslims know this. They are patient and keep on immigrating and producing babies. Europe, led by liberals, leftists and socialists, are busily committing national suicide. They have swung wide open the national gates to the barbarian hordes, all the while passing laws making it illegal to criticize Islam or warn of its dangers. Liberals are politically insane. That knowledge is the beginning of wisdom.

We do indeed need to write essays on the Muslim presence in Europe and we need to propose workable ways of dealing with it (excluding genocide of course). There are those, and LGF is rife with them, who are more interested in showing their liberal bonafides than they are in solving the problem. Other LGFers in their comments are slavish Charles Johnson ass-kissing sycophants. I often get a strong feeling that, by disagreeing with the group, I could be summarily blocked at any time. It is an oppressive feeling. I generally do agree with Charles Johnson, but not always. He is more liberal than I am, e.g. coming down on the side of the evolutionists in the Ben Stein dispute.

Many of the LGF members are operating under the false premise that Islam is just another religion and the terrorists have co-opted it. That's utterly naive. Islam is a religion/political/social system. Its core beliefs include violent conquest of the non-Muslim world and the imposition of totalitarian rule. History confirms this, with millions of non-Muslims dead or enslaved as a result.

Another core belief is the replacement of all secular systems of government with Sharia law. That's the Islamic code that requies amputation of limbs of thieves and stoning of adulterers and adulteresses.

One of the first steps the West must take to save itself from an Islamic future is to cease all further Muslim immigration into the West. That's an undebatable given. the Gates of Vienna writer was taken to task at LGF for saying that Muslims already in the West should be encouraged to leave. I agree, however, with the GOV writer. We can pay them to leave, or provide free travel to the Islamic nation of their choice. A large Muslim population is, and will continue to be, a base of logistical and moral support to home-grown terrorists and violent Jihadis. We don't need that in our midst.

Another thing we can and should do is to deny Islam recognition as a religion in the United States, thus making all of its operations taxable and subject to IRS audit. It is not a religion in the usual sense of the word, but a society of sedition that seeks to destroy our Constitution and Bill of Rights. It does not deserve a tax exempt status.
