The despicable Southern Poverty Law Center is now targeting Confederate monuments, flags and symbols.  They are a far-left, money-making scheme that seeks to marginalize all Conservative groups and personalities.  They have no credibility.

The Causes of Interracial Strife: White Privilege or Black Dysfunction? Two Must-Read Articles

There are two must-read articles today on the causes of interracial strife.

The first is from Colin Flaherty at American Thinker, "Black Crime Claims Life of Apologist for Black Crime."  This past week David Ruenzel, a writer for the infamous Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), was killed in a black Oakland neighborhood.  The SPLC is well-known for its attacks on anyone who is not far-left on the questions of race, immigration and crime.  It is so aggressive that it has often called people's employers and attempted to get them fired for beliefs and opinions not shared by the Southern Poverty Law Center.  Others are merely listed online as racists and bigots, and include prominent conservatives who oppose unlimited third world immigration or report the ongoing atrocities of Muslims.  

David Ruenzel was a proponent of "critical race theory" and a critic of "white privilege."  It appears Ruenzel was killed by the people he worked so long and so hard to protect and defend. 

The second article is by Fred Reed, "Fergusons In Perpetuity, Thoughts On The Unfixable." Fred's article is brutal in its honest depiction of intelligence differences between blacks and other racial groups.  The IQ gap is significant, and probably explains why blacks regularly destroy their own habitat through riots, looting and burning.  Fred writes:

Two questions, methinks, arise from Ferguson's latest outburst. The first, political, is "Why does the country tolerate it?" The second, more anthropologically interesting, is "Why the eerie incapacity of underclass blacks to understand evidence, or law, or much of anything?" Of the countless explanations given for the poor performance and poor behavior of blacks in the US, one of them dares not speak its name: Low intelligence.

It seems that the lower average IQ of blacks also explains their low impulse control, their lack of empathy for their victims, their inability to foresee the likely consequences of their criminal behavior.

Frank Borzellieri:  Blacklisted From
His Teaching Profession

Frank Borzellieri is an educator with sterling credentials, an excellent teacher who is dedicated to his multi-ethnic students.  However, he was fired recently for writing articles for American Renaissance some years back, and therefore became guilty of thought crimes:  he had dared to question liberal orthodoxy on the subject of race.

I was disgusted to hear how Frank Borzellieri was fired from his job (as a principal for a Bronx Catholic school) for having published in American Renaissance.  Apparently, he is just another victim of the Southern Poverty Law Center.  It is another "guilt by association" smear.  Borzellieri is not criticized for what he wrote, argued or advocated, he is fired merely for writing in a magazine that liberals don't like.  For all the liberal anguish about "McCarthyism" and the "Black List" and how they unfairly ruined the careers of a lot of Hollywood actors, the liberals now do the very same thing to others, conducting their very own witch hunt and keeping their very own black list.

I am very multi-ethnic, but not multicultural.  My wife of 35 years is Filipina, I have two adopted grandchildren from South Korea (and love them), I have an Amerasian son (who self-identifies as white), as well as nephews and nieces who are 75% hispanic, whom I also love.  Race is not a high priority with me; culture is.  Having said that, today I added American Renaissance to my blog roll, knowing full well that liberals will use it as stick to beat me with.

I intend to read American Renaissance on a regular basis; I am sure I will not always agree with its articles, but I am incensed that American writers, expressing non-hateful, well-reasoned, well argued and well researched articles can be subject to this kind of stigmatization, suppression and persecution.

Readers not familiar with his name should know that Frank Borzellieri as a school board member in Queens in the 1990s fought a tremendous battle against multicultural indoctrination and anti-Americanism in the schools. I don't know of anyone in America who, as a school board member or in any job in education, took such positions and fought for them so strongly. He did what thousands of others should have done but did not do. He is an American hero.

Andrew McCarthy: "Not a Perversion of Islam, But Islam"

Today at National Review Online Andrew McCarthy again speaks truth about the world's worst religion, Islam. He articulates the fact that violence by Islam against apostates and infidels is not a perversion of Islam, but obedience to its clearly stated doctrines.

The massive self-deception of the Western world on this question is mind-boggling.  Very few on either the left or the right want to admit this truth:  the terrorists are not perverting Islam, they are practicing it.

There are many pundits who continue embarrassing themselves by claiming the terrorists have "hijacked a religion," but this is pure nonsense.  Sean Hannity is one of these self-deceiving bunko artists, and I wish I could give him a good shake to wake him up.

There are far leftists who make it their personal religion to defend the most odoriferous evil.  The Southern Poverty Law Center is one of these.  They recently have attacked Pamela Geller for her anti-Islamization activities, asserting that opposition to a violent ideology is somehow "racist."  When the masses of conquered infidels (you and me) are once again led to the public square to be beheaded by twos, Mark Potok and Morris Dees will holding the scimitars of our executioners.

The SPLC is a hateful, false and mendacious organization with a far-left agenda. Libel and slander are their weapons of choice. They provide leftwing bloggers, pundits and websites with a false "expert" to quote from in support of their race-baiting, e.g., " The Southern Poverty Law Center, who tracks hate groups in the U.S.,  has identified Jesus Christ as a white separatist, extremist and racist." (This is a fictitious example. They actually haven't gotten around to Jesus yet.)

Finally, Rush Limbaugh has come out and told the truth about Mark Potok.  File these quotes away to use against Mark Potok the next time you need them.

Rush Limbaugh on "Segregated Buses"; Mark Potok & the Southern Poverty Law Center

The left is trying to manufacture a new bogus controversy over Rush Limbaugh's "racism." Once again they have taken his remarks out of context and presented them as if Rush meant them literally. This time it was because Rush sarcastically remarked that maybe we should bring back segregated buses so white kids wouldn't insult black thugs by their very existence.

Today leftist blogs are having a feeding frenzy over the non-fact that Rush Limbaugh has "called for segregated buses."  The usual suspects have weighed in, including Crazy Chucky at Little Green Goofballs and Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Libel Center. (I notice that Chucky's remarks indicate that he is feeling the heat from the conservative boycott of his site.)

One good thing that has come out of this latest leftwing slime attack is that Rush has taken off the gloves and described Mark Potok for the phony scam artist and libelous liar that he is.

Here is Rush's transcript and rebuttal of the smear.

RUSH: During the break Mr. Snerdley showed me a website that a friend of his had alerted him to. Apparently it has taken hold out there that when discussing Obama's America as it relates to the school bus incident -- where was that? That was in Belleville, right? Belleville, Illinois -- playing off the Newsweek story of, you know, all white kids are born racists. I did a whole routine here on, "Well, maybe we need to segregate the buses and so forth," in a joking fashion. And this guy at the Southern Poverty Law Center, this Mark Plotkin... Is that his name? What...? Mark Potok. Mark Potok says that I want to segregate buses! We're going to get to what he said and what I said but I want to preface it or precede it with Howard Dean last night on MSNBC. He was asked if he shares Pelosi's concerns over the wave of violence we all know is just waiting to break out.

DEAN:  There's a lot of money to be made in passing out hate of the kind that Rush Limbaugh is just doing.  Rush Limbaugh, look, he's always an entertainer, but he's way over the line.  And this is a long -- there's a long, unfortunate American tradition of this, going back to Father Coughlin and people before that. Just in... They appeal to the very worst in people.  They appeal to the -- to, uhh, the side of all of us that is about anger and fear and hatred, and they empower it, and it is an evil thing to do, and it's very, very bad for the country. POTOK: Yesterday Rush Limbaugh was on the air talking about an incident in which black kids attacked a white kid on a school bus, an incident the police said was not racially motivated and saying that what we need are segregated buses -- that this is the only way, I suppose, that white people can be protected from black people. I think when we have characters like Limbaugh saying that on the air to millions of Americans, many of whom actually revere the man, you know, it's not surprising that people feel that, uh, you know, the race wars around the corner and that, uh, we're allowed to say these kinds of things.

RUSH: It's incredible. (laughing) This whole race tumult is being orchestrated and run out of the White House straight out of Rahm Emanuel and Axelrod's office. They are promoting it; they are encouraging it. Isn't it amazing? You have black kids who beat up a white kid on a school bus. That's not racism. You have half the country criticizing a socialist health care plan, and that is racism. RUSH: Because we've seen the videotape. Have you seen the videotape?

CALLER: Oh, yeah, sure.

RUSH: We can't hear what's being said.

RUSH: So we don't know what obvious taunts this lone white student was dishing out to the whole bus.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: We don't know what obvious taunts.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: Worse than the obvious verbal taunts, we all know the racism that was in the kid's mind. I mean Newsweek magazine says he was born a racist. So you know the white kid is sitting there thinking N-word and all kinds of things being surrounded by these black students. They knew that. They knew that and so they just descended on the kid and beat him up. We've seen the videotape. What did the police chief investigate?

CALLER: He did not comment on anything other than he said more investigations shows that it was not racially motivated.

RUSH: I think the guy is wrong. I think not only was it racism, it's justifiable racism.

CALLER: True.

RUSH: I mean, that's the lesson that we're being taught here today. Kid shouldn't have been on the bus anyway.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: We need segregated buses. It was invading of space and so forth. This is Obama's America.

Robert Stacy McCain: I Know Him Better Than Charles Johnson Does

This week Robert Stacy McCain of "The Other McCain" was denounced as a "White Supremacist" by Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs.  Over the past year or so Johnson appears to be undergoing some kind of mental breakdown:  he has renounced previous conservative allies like Michelle Malkin, Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer.  Read through his blog and see for yourself:  the tone seems nearly hysterical, like a conspiracy nut trying desperately to convince the world of his irrational world view.

Stacy, as his friends like to call him, has written three rebuttals to Johnson:

1.  Point One:  Charles Johnson doesn't know me from Adam's house cat

2.  Point Two:  Charles Johnson is prejudiced, and subscribes to stereotypes

3.  Point Three:  Charles Johnson will regret it but once, and that will be continually

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has slimed Stacy in the past, just as they have libeled other conservatives, with the "racist" or "white supremacist" label, including David Horowitz and Michelle Malkin.  Stacy says he will not write about how this all came about unless he is paid to do so.  However, I know some of the back story that few others do, because I went through it with Stacy.

In the 1990's we were involved in heritage groups dedicated to refuting and rebutting Yankee historians and modern day enemies over what the Southern Confederacy was and what it means to us.  We were both members of a heritage group, the League of the South, that has also subsequently been slimed by the SPLC.  

Stacy and I were involved in online discussions (aka "the great listserv debates") with a large group of interested people and, of course, the issue of race and race relations came up and was hotly debated.  Should blacks, Jews and others be allowed into our fold?  Stacy, I and others said, "absolutely!"  There were some bigots in the group who wanted to add a racial component to our movement but Stacy (and I and others) strenuously opposed it.  Stacy was an outspoken leader of the non-racist faction; he denounced racism as dishonorable and wrong.  We fought the bigots together and took a lot of heat for our stand.  Nevertheless, a New York Press reporter named Michaelangelo Signorile misattributed another's comments on interracial marriage to McCain.  These errors were subsequently picked up by other bloggers (as well as the SPLC) and spread.  Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs is the most recent purveyor of these falsehoods.

AllExperts, an online encyclopedia, corrects the record, noting:

Signorile claimed McCain had posted this to a site called Reclaiming the South. In fact, that site is maintained by [White Supremacist] Dennis Wheeler, who posted emails by McCain, George Kalas, Gary Waltrip and others, from a debate on a private email list. McCain, Kalas, Waltrip, et al., strongly criticized Wheeler's efforts to get the League of the South (then known as the Southern League) to adopt Wheeler's own white separatist views. McCain wrote of such racial views: "[W]e should not stomach the promulgation of odious and hateful doctrines. We must reject all such doctrines. The truth is not in them." 

Despite McCain's protests about the errors in Signorile's column [2], the errors continued to be repeated by other bloggers, some of whom further falsely attributed to McCain words written by League of the South president Michael Hill. [3]

One of the subjects discussed in the above debates was the book "The Bell Curve," which purported to show that blacks had a lower average IQ than other racial groups.  Stacy refused to believe it, saying he did not believe that God would do such a thing to black people.  In fact, he brought up other authors and books to refute the Bell Curve.  If that's "racism" I'll eat my Confederate flag.

In fact, if Robert Stacy McCain is a "racist" or "white supremacist," I will personally show up on Charles Johnson's doorstep and kiss his ass with a loud, slobbery smack.  

Robert Stacy McCain is a fine man of outstanding character and hasn't a trace of racism or white-supremacist philosophy anywhere in his soul.  I know, because I knew him and worked with him long before most of you ever heard his name.  He has consistently supported racial equality and opposed race hatred. 

Charles Johnson, whatever else he may be or believe, is a reckless and careless reporter.  He deserves no credibility whatsoever.

An Example of "Racist" Activities by Sons of Confederate Veterans

I just received this email from an SCV Camp Commander.  He describes the "right wing, racist" activity to which "Crooks, Liars and Cowards" so strenuously objected.

Gents,
We are cleared for the gravesite marker ceremony for Major Joseph Vaughn at the Benicia Cemetery in Benicia at 10:00AM, Saturday October 10th. If any of you know renactors that could participate in the rifle squad, Color Guard, or play Taps, please contact them and me. As I mentioned before, Joseph Vaughn left Benicia in 1862 to join the 6th Infantry Regiment of the Confederate States Army and was promoted through the ranks from Private to eventually attain the rank of Major. Major Vaughn was killed on the battlefield leading his Regiment at the Battle of Corinth, Mississippi, the third of October 1862. I will bring his Bronze VA marker to the Camp meeting on Saturday tomorrow. Lou Olker, Commander

We are all so lucky to have David Neiwert of "Crooks and Liars" standing guard over the public to protect us all from such nefarious activities.   Kudos also to the Southern Poverty Law Center for denouncing the Sons, as well as everything else that moves, as "raaaacists."   One can't be too careful these days.  The only way to make sure you get all the racists is to just get everybody.  Taking a page from General Sherman, who said "Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out," the SPLC operates under the dictum, "Slime 'em all and let God sort 'em out!"

It takes a really big slime bucket but somebody's got to do it.

A Rebuttal to "Crooks and Liars" on the Sons of Confederate Veterans

The brazen liars at "Crooks and Liars" printed a ton of misinformation yesterday about the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV).  Perhaps they should rename their blog as "Crooks, Liars and Cowards" since they delete all comments that refute their positions.  This post will rebut their scurrilous article on the SCV.

They printed the following:

Experts say the divisions within the Sons vary between two extremes. On one side are the traditionalists, members who focus on cleaning up Confederate grave sites and conducting Civil War re-enactments.

On the other side are the so-called Lunatics, up to 2,000 members who deride traditionalists as "grannies'' and belong to camps named after notorious Southern figures such as John Wilkes Booth and Jesse James.

John Wilkes Booth members have been known to put pennies in urinals, making sure to leave the Lincoln side face-up. Other Lunatic groups have removed the U.S. flag from their halls and banned the Pledge of Allegiance, says Walter Hilderman, who several years ago created an anti-Lunatic group called Save the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

"The problem is it's supposed to be a patriotic organization," says Hilderman, 59. "You are either that or you let guys in who want to secede."

What "experts" say these things?  None are identified.  There are no SCV Camps named after either John Wilkes Booth or Jesse James and there never has been.  You can verify this yourself by visiting the SCV website and browsing through the camps in each state and also the international camps.  I did so this morning and did not find any camp named "John Wilkes Booth" or "Jesse James."  Furthermore, I know the SCV is jealous of its reputation and would never allow such names.  However, suit yourself and browse the camps and see if I'm wrong.

The anecdotal story of non-existent "John Wilkes Booth" members putting pennies in urinals is another myth.  Note that no details have been provided for this camp (what's its Camp Number?  Where is it located?  Who is its Commander?).  The story is a lie.

I know of no SCV camps that have banned the American flag or the pledge of allegiance from their halls.  The story is just another lie -- note the complete lack of specifics or verifiable facts.

The so-called "Save the SCV" group was loyal to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and insisted that SCV members be kicked out based on their personal beliefs and memberships in other non-radical organizations (the Sons does kick out members of non-peaceful, radical groups like the Klan, Skinheads or Neo-Nazis).  The misnamed "Save the SCV" group insisted on forcing their personal political views on the entire membership and vetting members based on that criterion.  They were willing to damage the organization's reputation in support of their personal politics and most of us considered them despicable.  They had the attitude of rule or ruin and did their best to damage the Sons.

The "Save the SCV" group was overwhelmingly opposed by the majority of SCV members and was defeated.  The Sons does not screen members based on their peaceful, personal political beliefs.  It never has.  So the Sons has a few gay members because their sexual preference is not a criterion for membership.  My own SCV camp has a member who is a leftist peacenik from Berkeley who smokes "medical marijuana."  When he applied for membership he was not opposed, because his personal, peaceful political beliefs are not the business of the SCV.  (He volunteered this information, it was not requested of him.)

A couple of years ago the Sons reprinted in its magazine an article by Ann Coulter defending the Confederate South.  There were many letters to the editor by members, some praising Coulter and others denouncing her. It was obvious that the Sons has more than a few liberal members, although the majority are probably conservatives.  I don't know for sure because the Sons does not keep such statistics.

Another non-criterion for membership is whether the potential SCV member wants to secede or believes in the right of secession.  Those are political positions and the Sons' charter strictly forbids it to engage in politics.   I believe in the right of secession of any state; I do not have any great desire to secede at this time in history.  Before the Civil War, the right of secession was largely unquestioned.  It was even taught as a legal right at West Point.  Abraham Lincoln verbally supported the right of secession in a speech to Congress in 1848.  (When the South took him up on it in 1861, he suddenly changed his mind.)

Beliefs in secession are neither violent nor radical, and are none of the SCV's business, nor that of anyone else.  However, if the nation continues in its radical leftward direction, I would support secession of the Red States in order to preserve liberty and to reject Democrat/socialism.  Who agrees with me?  Walter Williams, a black libertarian university professor does.  The right of secession was not decided by Northern violence and is not a "lunatic" position.  "Crooks and Liars" has no valid argument and so is reduced to insulting pejoratives and ad-hominem attacks.  No fair-minded person will find their specious insults convincing.

The SPLC and "Crooks and Liars" rely on guilt-by-association in order to slime the SCV.  They mention Kirk D. Lyons, a North Carolina attorney who has defended members of radical groups charged with crimes.  So is this illegal or unethical?  No.  Every American citizen is entitled to legal representation and a defense.  It does not mean that the attorney agrees with their radical views.  If I'm wrong, then every attorney who ever defended a murderer must be in favor of murder.  Ridiculous.  Lyons is a member of the SCV and has done nothing to deserve being kicked out.  He has a close friend in a black man, H.K. Edgerton, who supports SCV causes and they have often appeared together in public forums.

The real reason why "Crooks and Liars" wants to slander the Sons of Confederate Veterans is so they can hang the albatross of "racism" around the neck of Rep. Joe Wilson, who offended them by accusing Barack Obama of lying (even though he apologized for it).

Liberals can't win any major political argument with rhetoric, logic or facts.  They must always resort to innuendo, guilt-by-association and slander of the opposition.  Their lack of argument is matched only by their lack of personal ethics.  Don't believe them.

Update:  I received official confirmation from the Sons of Confederate Veterans regarding some of the points I rebutted above:

There is at least one real camp named for Quantrill with whom James rode;
however, I know of no camp that has ever been named for either Jesse James
or John Wilkes Booth.  James and his brother were Confederate soldiers, both
well educated, and their parents taught at Georgetown College, a Baptist
School in Kentucky.  They turned to crime after the war.

At one time there was a social group who called themselves the John Wilkes
Booth camp, and at certain meeting locations individuals would get together,
have a drink and some would wear round disks around their necks that read
John Wilkes Booth camp.  I am not aware of any activity such as this since
2003 or so.  They had no traction and were not official in any way, shape or
form.

A few posts back I wrote how the Southern Poverty Law Center slandered a friend of mine as a "white-supremacist," a "racist" and someone with an "extremist past."  None of this was remotely true and is a typically libelous falsehood directed at a principled (and well-known) conservative.

Today I googled my own name and found an article by a website that took the SPLC to task for slandering the unnamed friend in question.  The article named him and me and a couple of others as standing up AGAINST racism and even quoted my friend denouncing racism!  The quote came from a private listserve where early members of the League of the South, or Southern League as it was then called, could debate issues.  The listserve quotes proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that my friend was a principled, outspoken non-racist.  However, don't think the SPLC will remove their slander anytime soon.  As everyone remotely informed knows, the SPLC is in the business of slandering political enemies; their shtick as fighters of "hatred" and "racism" is no more real than it is for the Communist Party who claims the same things.

There is a fully carved upright bass that I want to buy.  It's from Rumania and generally costs around $4,000:  a Calin Wultur Panormo flat back.  My supplier says it has a "thunderous voice" and sounds more like a $10,000 bass than one in this price range.  I have heard others say the same, including one orchestra bassist.  My supplier  is offering it for sale for only $3,200, a really good price.  No doubt the recession has him feeling pinched.  I would love to buy the bass but the recession has me feeling pinched as well.  Dang!  Maybe I should start a Tip Jar like other bloggers have; it would only take one donation of $3,200 and I would have my bass! Hmm, that scenario sounds about as realistic as Obama's economic policies.  Guess I'll stick with my laminated bass for now.

Our incredibly goofy airhead President continues to amuse.  His latest stunt was having Air Force One do a close flyover of New York, scaring many New Yorkers who thought it was another terrorist attack.  What a maroon!

I'm still working on "the Road to Serfdom"; I will read another chapter or two tonight.  I ordered Saul Alinksy's book "Rules for Radicals" and will read that next, so I will know what tactics I can expect from our Alinksy pupil President, Obama.  One of the radio pundits I listen to daily said that when a certain Democrat office was replaced with a Republican, the Republican staff found a box of these books in the office -- hundreds of them.  Seems like "Rules for Radicals" could be called "Rules for Democrats."  Not that there's any difference.

The Southern Poverty Law Center: A Leftwing Propaganda Machine

Yesterday, when looking for images of one of my favorite bloggers (and long time internet friends), I was surprised to see a nasty story about him on the website of the Southern Poverty Law Center (the SPLC).

They described him as a "racist and white-supremacist." He's nothing of the sort. Once again, as they have done countless times before, the SPLC slandered a conservative figure with total disregard for the truth. As usual, they provided no specifics to prove that this individual was a "racist," and relied on innuendo and "guilt by association" commentary. He was once a member of the "white supremacist and racist League of the South." Hey, so was I. The only problem is that the League of the South was not "white supremacist or racist. " At least it wasn't in its early days, when my friend and I were members. I haven't really looked into its political positions as they may have evolved since then.

In the early days of the League of the South, various groups were vying for control. There was a very definite racist faction, small and vocal, and here I will define "racism" as being a strong antipathy towards black people and other non-whites. The anti-racist faction fought this racial antipathy and didn't want it to be part of the League. They wanted membership open to all. The individual slandered by the SPLC, as described above, was a leader of the anti-racist faction. When the book "the Bell Curve" came out, describing a lower average IQ for black people, this individual refused to believe it. He stated publicly that he didn't believe that God would do that to black people. He even came up with arguments from other authors to refute the Bell Curve.

This high-mindedness, however, proved to be of no benefit to leftist slimes like the SPLC. On their website they brag about how they cost this individual a job by revealing his "extremist past" to his employer. The only problem is that he has no "extremist past," unless being a libertarian makes you one. Oh yes, and a former member of the League of the South.

He later left the League, as did I; I won't go into the reasons. However, note the SPLC's highly refined sliming technique. They pick out a conservative organization and declare it to be "extremist" and "racist." Now that they have defined it as such, they can declare that you have "an extremist past" if you've ever been a member!

You are an "extremist" only by their subjective definition, not by objectively proven facts. Also, your alleged "extremism" is based only on your peaceful, political beliefs that you pursue in peaceful ways. Most people think of an "extremist" as someone who blows things up and murders people. However, to the SPLC, an extremist is anyone who doesn't agree with them, no matter how peaceful or lawful they are otherwise.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is in the business of slander to achieve political and financial ends. It's a great way to marginalize conservatives who are becoming too effective, and it's a great advertising gimmick for the SPLC, who can claim that they are "fighting hate" when all they are really doing is desseminatng vicious propaganda. Notable conservatives like David Horowitz (for opposing reparations for slavery) and Michelle Malkin (for opposing illegal immigration) have been SPLC targets in the recent past. (A great project would be to list all conservatives who have ever been called a "racist" by the Southern Poverty Law Center. It would be a long list.)

Anyone who is opposed to illegal immigration is a potential target. The SPLC will call you a "nativist" and a "hater." What then can be done about illegal immigration, in the eyes of the SPLC? Absolutely nothing. Anyone who wants to come in can come in, citizen or not, and we are powerless to stop them, lest we be labeled "racists," "nativists," or "extremists" by the SPLC.

The SPLC is despicable. Someone really needs to sue their asses off.

It would be time consuming and expensive, and the plaintiff would be treated to public excoriation, slime and slander on a massive scale by the SPLC. I suppose that's why no one has sued them before. Also, they are an organization of leftwing attorneys and have plenty of in-house counsel, so getting sued wouldn't cost them the massive fortune it costs the targets of their slander.

What can you do? Here are a few thoughts:
1. Don't quote the Southern Poverty Law Center on any statistics regarding "hate" or "racism." Hate and racism, to the far left, is anything that impedes the socialist revolution. The SPLC is not a credible source of such statistics.

2. Be aware that the SPLC has a serious political agenda, that it is far left, and that it colors all of their beliefs, practices and public statements. On the question of racism, "white-supremacy" and extremism, they are the boy crying wolf. They are not remotely objective and are dishonest and unfair.

Give them a wide berth.

Breaking News: Southern Poverty Law Center Finds A Conservative Group That Isn't Racist, White-Supremacist or Extremist

The conservative group is the Russian Kulaks who are neither racist, white-supremacist or extremist. The bad news is that they are all dead. Undeterred, Mark Potok of the SPLC says he will keep looking until he finds a non-racist conservative organization that is still alive. Presumably, he will then slap a label on it that says "Racist, White-Supremacist and Extremist."

Further information from the SPLC website indicates the Center will press for legislation making it a "hate crime" to register as a Republican or to laugh at Joe Biden's hair plugs.

The SPLC took exception this week to a claim by Michelle Malkin that the SPLC has labeled the American Legion a "hate group" for opposing illegal immigration. The SPLC is adamant that they never said any such thing. They only said that the American Legion was a hapless if not willing tool of rightwing racist, white-supremacist and extremist groups and that they were in bed with these groups and up to their earlobes in such groups, but they never said the Legion was one of these groups. Thanks to the SPLC for this important clarification.

Last week the SPLC released its annual report on the growth of hate groups in the United States. Not surprisingly, the report once again shows an astounding growth in the number of hate groups in the U.S., making the role of the SPLC ever more important and their need for higher dues, fees, grants and donations all the more obvious (hint, hint).

In fact, the hate group racists now outnumber regular folks by 10,000 to 1, with only 3,232 non-racist people living in scattered enclaves throughout the United States. Hmm, come to think of it, if hate groups are expanding so rapidly, shouldn't we fire the SPLC and hire someone who can actually do something about it?
