A Metaphor for the Muslim World

OLD GLORY'S REVENGE

An American hating Muslim sets fire to an American flag, with unintended but hilarious results.

This great photo sequence has been traveling around the blogosphere for a few weeks. Today it was featured on Atlas Shrugs, a terrific blog. It shows a Muslim setting fire to an American flag, which then sets fire to him! This brings to mind a lot of things, e.g. poetic justice, Karma, the law of unintended consequences, "mess with the best, die like the rest," etc. For me, though, the photo sequence can be seen as a metaphor for Islam's 1400 year war on the non-Muslim world, and more specifically, on Iran's recent threats and provocations. Iran's nasty leaders want to build a nuclear bomb and wipe Israel off the planet; however, they are the ones who will be burned in the attempt.

Come to think of it, this photo sequence might also be a metaphor for a Jihadist's reward in the afterlife.

Or as my mama used to say, if you play with matches you're gonna get burned.
