Ward Churchill, Chief of the Fulabaloni

Ward Churchill is typical of the crazies teaching our college age children these days. He said that 9/11 was justified, that the people killed in the Twin Towers by Muslim fanatics were not innocent, but were "Little Eichmanns." To give himself a phony ethnic role to play, he pretends to be an American Indian. His scholarship is as phony as he is. Churchill and his ilk are why we must take the universities back from the nutjobs of the Left and restore them as serious centers for learning once again. UPDATE: David Horowitz debates Indian Ward. See a better description of the debate here.

I agree. How do we do it?

Gary, David Horowitz is doing it with his oranization "Students for Academic Freedom." Take a look at frontpagemag.com. It's in my links to the right.

Ok. So I have not followed or known anything about either Churchill or Horowitz. I followed your UPDATE link, and read the report.
What I concluded is that Horowitz is trying to keep the herd in the box. He is trying to get more people in the box.
On the other hand, it appears to me that Churchill is just trying to get people out of the "boxes".
Politics and ideologies aside (unknown to me) I have to commend Churchil for that attempt.
People need to get out of the boxes and see the world/life in a broader view, least they be partially blind. (some totally)

Gary, I find it impossible to respond to such glaring generalities. What box are you talking about? Chuchill has said the people who died in 9/11 essentially deserved it, and that he would like to see the United States destroyed. He's a flaming nutcase. Horowitz is trying to make it illegal for colleges and universities to refuse hiring professors based on their political beliefs (whether conservative or liberal). Unqualified kooks like Churchill (he doesn't have a pHD) are hired readily while highly qualified conservative candidates are shown the door. You are woefully uninformed. Go bug someone else for awhile and give me a rest.

You are right, it was a generality.
My comment was not about agendas, right or wrong - nor a judgement of such.
My comment was of the way people tend to make decisions about the agendas of others based on the "box" they are seen to be in.
Early in my arrival here to comment on your blog you asked me "what are you?". What box did I fit in - as if to tell if I was an ally or foe.
I feel that thought that is allowed to go outside of the box, that is truly free, is the best way to make decisions. That's all.
People stuck in their respective paradigms are not free thinkers.

Religion promotes prepackaged truths. That's a box. Party line politics usually does the same.

I observe that you and others have a tendancy to feel that those who do not fit into your box are dumb idiots that need abolishing. I totally dissagree with that thought process.

I am paraphrasing a quote I recently heard: "When given new information, I reaccess my view. What do you do with new information?".

Sorry to be "bugging" you, if I am too much of a challenge for you I'd be happy to give you a break!

Ahhhh,,, Gary,
Even if you should come back and see this it wouldn't do any good. The box you keep your self in is too damn thick for any common sense to get through.
3000 people died and you think that somehow ol' Stogie is missing something?
You obviously believe that no one else is smart enough to figure out this sophomore grade philosophy of yours so please, tell us, what ultimate thought of wisdom we are supposed to find outside our boxes?

Gary, you might be a challenge if you were more specific in your comments. Usually I don't know what you are talking about. You are too general.
