Playboy Tries Again: More Culturally Sensitive Issue Goes on Sale

The much muted version of Playboy recently introduced in Indonesia has resulted in demonstrations, denunciations and protests by Muslims there. It appears that the Muslims were offended by the picture of a pretty girl on the cover. It was just her head and shoulders with a big smile, but Muslims complained that she should have been wearing a burqa (see Miss April at the right for proper attire for Muslim Playboy Bunnies).

We have received an advance copy of the new culturally sensitive Playboy magazine that will be introduced throughout the Middle East in a few days, showing pictures of Muslim girls with their faces properly covered by burqas. Playboy Hugh Hefner was quoted as saying, "This should solve the problem. A woman's head and shoulders are not all that important anyway. All men really want to see are butts and boobs."

More as the story develops.
