I finished reading Serge Trifkovic's "Defeating Jihad" last night. It is like a series of body punches to Leftists and liberals, or what Trifkovic refers to as "the elite class." With regard to Islam, Trifkovic first accurately defines the problem and then gives the solution. The book is organized as follows:
Part I - Understanding the Threat. Describes Muhammad's legacy, Islamic beliefs, what Jihad actually means (no, it's not an "inner struggle" as the elitist morons who govern us want to believe). Islamic history's violence and military conquests are described in the chapter "Jihad Through the Centuries." His conclusion to Part I states "Islam in the only religious doctrine in human history with a developed doctrine, theology and legal system of mandatory violence against unbelievers."
Part II - From Europa to Eurabia. Describes the damage done to Europe from allowing massive Muslim immigration. The terrorist acts in Amsterdam, London and Spain. Brussels, the new Medina, where EU members are exhorted to deal with the Islamic threat by pretending it doesn't exist, by censoring studies of Muslim crimes (like widespread rape) in Europe, and by funding mosques, being "more sensitive" to Islamic sensibilities (e.g. by creating speech codes), granting "affirmative action" to Muslims in Europe, and by criminalizing criticism against Islam or Muslim attitudes and behavior. Trifkovic concludes by stating that America needs Europe and saving the latter is well worth our time and trouble.
Part III - America - Insecure Homeland. The enemy inside the walls. How the White House and the liberal left delude themselves as to Islam's true nature. Muslim propaganda in the USA, including that of CAIR; radical Islam's partner in higher education, the traitors in Academia. Conclusion is that the anti-Jihad struggle is a propaganda war similar to the Cold War.
Part IV - Defense Abroad. The struggle against Islamic terror is a global issue that requires the US to make major adjustments of its global strategy. Democraticizing the Middle East may be a fool's errand; as long as the region is Islamic, Democracy will have little effect on the attitudes and violent culture of Islam. The US should support and not condemn Russia for its war on Chechnyan terrorism. The US should never take confidence in the loyalty or trustworthiness of Muslim "allies," particularly Turkey and Malaysia. Turkey should NOT be allowed into the European Union.
Part V - The Solution. The war against Jihad (he should have said "Islam") can and must be won. (1) We should spy on Muslims in our midst without restraint or apology as they represent a seditious ideology that is hostile to American interests and laws. (2) We should refuse or rescind citizenship to all Islamic activists and deport them. (3) We should profile like mad and ignore the hysteria of the idiot Left. Israel profiles with enthusiasm and without apology and it works, because of mathematical, statistical odds: a young Muslim man is literally tens of thousands of times more likely to carry out a terrorist attack in the United States than an Episcopalian, Roman Catholic, Orthodox Christian, a Jew, Hindu or Buddhist, or even a Lebanese or Palestinian Christian. To call this effective means of stopping terror "racism" is absurd. (4) We should refuse to grant security clearances to Muslims because their religion makes them untrustworthy. Muslim FBI agents, for example, have consistently refused to tape record conversations with terrorists because the latter are fellow Muslims. Muslims in the military is also a bad idea - for example, the Muslim US soldier in Kuwait who killed an officer with a grenade and wounded several soldiers. (5) Reform immigration laws to exclude Jihadists and secure US borders. (6) Supervise mosques and Islamic centers in the US. All sermons must be given in English and recorded. Any Cleric who advocates violence or discrimination against non-Muslims or women will be summarily deported.
Serge Trifkovic makes a lot of sense. We need not fight a lot of bloody wars against Islam, we need only to isolate it so it cannot hurt us. As Trifkovic says, "we need to get the US out of Mecca and Mecca out of the US." This won't happen until our leaders free themselves from their quagmire of self-delusion and wishful thinking and openly define the enemy as ISLAM. Only when we accurately define the problem will the solutions become obvious.
