The Great Sphinx: Photoshop Reconstruction, Sideview

I love to play with Photoshop.  I wanted to get an idea of what the Great Sphinx might have looked like when it was new.  Here is the Sphinx face in sideview, with my digital reconstruction.

That was fun. Next I will try to reconstruct a front view of the face. That will be more difficult.

Nice!

I do admit a fascination with ancient Egypt.

Years ago, I waited in line for two hours at brutal temperatures to see the King Tut exhibit at the National Gallery of Art. That exhibit has to have been my favorite exhibit of all time!

AOW, I also saw the King Tut exhibit, in San Francisco in 1979. It was fascinating!

Just a little FYI. Do you know what the Sphinx is looking at, what business in right in front of the face that has stood for 4000 years? Kentucky Fried Chicken. I was in Cairo several years ago and could not believe the sight. In fact, most of the city looked like any American city.

I saw the King Tut exhibit in Chicago, too many years ago to remember.

I know this is off topic, but are you aware of what is going on at VMI?
