American Sniper: Why Do Leftists Hate It?

The movie "American Sniper" is a true story, based on the life of Chris Kyle.  Here's how it is described:

U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle (Bradley Cooper) takes his sole mission -- protect his comrades -- to heart and becomes one of the most lethal snipers in American history. His pinpoint accuracy not only saves countless lives but also makes him a prime target of insurgents. Despite grave danger and his struggle to be a good husband and father to his family back in the States, Kyle serves four tours of duty in Iraq. However, when he finally returns home, he finds that he cannot leave the war behind.

The movie is smashing attendance records and appears to be the most popular film in a decade.  People who saw it say it is very moving.  It apparently also reawakens American patriotism.

Of course, "progressives" (Democrats, leftists and other crawly things) hate the film.  Michael Moore, leftist film maker and professional America-hater, denounced snipers as "cowards."

Why do "progressives" hate the film?  Simple.  "Progressives" hate the military, hate patriotism, hate white people, hate war against evil people with whom those progressives identify.  In fact, any time there is a struggle between good and evil in this world, the "progressives" will support and defend the latter with their dying breath.

Taking Stock of the New Fascist America

I haven't blogged for an entire week.  To be honest, I have had a feeling of futility in the fight to preserve our freedoms.  We have lost major battles recently, if not the war.  Leftist "progressivism" is ascendant and Obama's goal to "transform America" into a socialist nation appears well on the way to success.

Americans are under heavy surveillance by our new fascist masters (and I use the term "fascist" as an actual and accurate description of Obama and the Democrats, and not as a gratuitous insult).  The "progressives" (the new and modern word for fascist) think they know better than the rest of us what is good for us, what should be legal or illegal, what should be mandatory and what should be allowed.  We, the rest of society, are merely a huge lump of clay for these progressive "artistes" to fashion as they may, sculpting us into a new regimented, indoctrinated and submissive peonage that lives only to support the new "utopia."  You know, the utopia of Chicago and Detroit, or of western Europe, which is busily committing ritual hara kiri with an Islamic scimitar.

As for the surveillance, I have to wonder at the websites that have been scouring every post on this blog since the beginning -- what are they looking for?  I find myself suspicious of every email from a stranger.

Meanwhile, I am sick to death of the left's many "isms" that they use as whips to control aberrant thought,  racism and sexism being the foremost.  Those who have drank deeply of the fascist Kool-aid are becoming increasingly impatient with those of us who refuse the cup, furious at our political apostasy for denying the new secular religion.

Can America be saved from its "progressive" transformation?  With the Republican Party now acting like a spanked lap dog of the left, acquiescing in "immigration reform" that will add millions of new voters to Democrat rolls, I am not optimistic.  Again, secession seems to be the only viable solution.  We can only hope that Texas, great Texas, will show us the way.

Bankrupt California: The Model for Progressive Policies

Victor Davis Hanson is (like me) a Californian.  He discusses the state of California and its demise under unfettered leftism:  soaring energy prices, crumbling infrastructure, tides of illegal aliens, and managed my moonbats on steroids.  California is the perfect reverse barometer of sane fiscal policy and state government.  Hanson explains:

California may face the nation’s largest budget deficit at $16 billion. It may struggle with the nation’s second-highest unemployment rate at 10.6 percent. It will soon vote whether to levy the nation’s highest income and sales taxes, as if to encourage others to join the 2,000-plus high earners who are leaving the state each week. The new taxes will be our way of saying, “Good riddance.” And if California is home to one-third of the nation’s welfare recipients and the largest number of illegal aliens, it is nonetheless apparently happy and thus solidly for Obama, by a +24 percent margin in the latest Field poll. The unemployment rate in my hometown is 16 percent, the per capita income is $16,000 — and I haven’t seen a Romney sticker yet.

One of the greatest testaments to liberal lunacy is California's roads.  They are filled with potholes and cracks and are often a mosaic patchwork, the many cracks filled with poured asphalt, resulting in a giant spiderweb where a road should be.  I have often driven along California's road, bumping and jostling until I reach the state border between California and Nevada, or California and Oregon, or California and Arizona, where the roads magically transform into smooth, new stretches of freeways, absent the cracks and potholes.  My wife asks, "Why are the roads so bumpy?"  I reply, "California's broke.  They can't afford to fix the roads."

Yes, "progressives" everywhere should take a good long look at the perfect model of their political ambitions.  Progressivism not only doesn't work, it makes life substantially more difficult for those who live under its soft tyranny.

Progressive Fascism in Western Nations

I read Jonah Goldberg's book "Liberal Fascism" twice.  Why twice?  The first time I forgot to highlight significant passages for future reference.  It was worth a second read to understand what Fascism is and is not.

Fascism is a totalitarian form of government wherein the the thoughts and opinions of the masses are heavily regulated, with severe punishments for dissenters.  The underlying economic system is somewhat capitalistic, but crony capitalism reigns supreme, with the government granting monopolies to major industries, so long as those industries are amenable and supportive of government programs and propaganda.

Fascism seeks to seize the minds of the population early on, by requiring children to be indoctrinated in government-run schools, often requiring them to live apart from their parents' influence.  This was seen in both Jacobin France and later on in more modern fascist societies.

Goldberg discusses several variants of fascism; yes, the well-known kind under Mussolini and Hitler, but other forms like the Jacobins of the French Revolution, who micro-managed French society with mad obsession, executing thousands of people at whim, based on the victims' social class but also based on rumor and slander from neighbors.  The French Revolution was a disgusting descent into madness and mass murder by the revolutionary government.  "Fascist" is a term that justly fits that epoch and its movement.

In American history, both Abraham Lincoln and Woodrow Wilson come closest to fascist rule, displaying the same policies:  crony capitalism, an enforced political viewpoint, punishment and imprisonment of dissenters, and government force.

Today we see fascism boldly reasserting itself in the American and European Left.  There are unofficial policies, practices and  dogmas that must not be questioned and must be vigorously supported....or else.  Some of these are:

1.  Near-worship of the sacred non-white "other."  You may not make jokes, references or comments that in any way might be considered flippant, disrespectful or in any way "iffy" of any member of a leftist "protected group," with blacks being the foremost example.  The Lawrence Auster Rule on Protected Groups is “The more troublesome, unassimilable, or dangerous a designated minority or non-Western group actually is, the more favorably it is treated.”

2.  Extreme Intolerance of Dissent and Differing Beliefs.   Fascism is marked by extreme intolerance for dissenting beliefs.  Either tow the party line and support the Official Narrative or suffer the consequences.   The most recent example of this is the Fascist Greek Olympics Committee, who abruptly ended the Olympics career of 24 year old Voula Papachristou for tweeting a mild and harmless joke involving blacks in Greece.  Her mild joke denigrated no one, but could be considered "iffy" by a man on horseback riding by in a snowstorm, so the fascist ax fell quickly.  Voula Papachristou, who had been training for many hours over several years to compete in the Olympics, was kicked off the Greek Olympics team without hearing or appeal.  The Greek Olympics Committee, like any official fascist body, acted as judge, jury and executioner, in what can only be viewed as an over-the-top, totalitarian act, a punishment completely out of proportion to the alleged "crime" of free speech.

This is group-think, intolerance for independent thought, with a need to publicly punish and humiliate the miscreants.  Before you can regiment society, you must train the minds of the masses.  Instill knee-jerk reactions so that alternative views are unthinkable.

Another example is Chick-Fil-A restaurant chain, whose owners have publicly opposed the legalization of gay marriage (putting them in agreement with the vast majority of the American public).  To punish the thought crime of the owners, mayors of San Francisco and Chicago have vowed to prevent Chick-Fil-A from doing business in their cities.  Its owners are being punished for thought crimes, because fascism allows no diversity of thought or belief.  Fascists generally do not tolerate dissent and will go to extreme measures to prevent it.  Like under the German and Italian fascists, like the Woodrow Wilson Administration, industry is only supported by the government when business is subservient and supportive of government policies, programs and propaganda.

3.  Extreme Bias Against a Specific Ethnic Group.  The German fascists had the Jews, and the Jacobins had the Nobility for use as sacrificial lambs and scapegoats.  The modern "progressive" movement, our latest incarnation of fascism, detests white, Christian males.  Being white is viewed as a mortal sin and a white skin is your uniform in the enemy army, making you a convenient target.  Groups that are very intolerant, hateful and violent, like fundamentalist Muslims and the black underclass, are feted and celebrated in an orgy of inclusiveness, though these groups do not support inclusion or tolerance themselves.  They are not white, and therefore friends and allies of the neo-fascists, irrespective of all other considerations.  The bias against whites goes hand in hand with the near-worship of the non-white "other" described in point 1 above.

4.  The Slander and Physical Destruction of Dissenters and Political Opponents.  Fascist movements in the recent past have used street thugs, protests and violence to intimidate the opposition and blackmail society in granting them what they want.  The fairly recent beating of a black Tea Party member by government union (SEIU) thugs is a case in point.  He was merely handing out small "Don't Tread on Me" flags at a political rally when set upon by union members, who closely resemble fascists no matter how you look at it.  The "Occupy" Movement also bears an uncanny resemblance to fascism.  They occupied public property, created disruption and destruction, all in an attempt to blackmail society into supporting them without the necessity of work.  Fascism is blackmail, and the Occupy Movement was both.  More recently, we see Hollywood "stars" tweeting extreme insults and slander towards conservatives, often involving filthy and extreme language.  See Roseanne Barr, Ellen Barkin, and Cher (who has become increasingly unhinged).

5.  A Searing Hypocrisy.  Fascists believe that they can be ruthless, arrogant, profane and hateful, all the while accusing their opponents of what they are themselves.  Hypocrisy is one of the most obvious traits of the modern-day fascist.

These are not the only characteristics that modern-day "progressives" share with fascism, but they are probably the most prominent.

Finally, a video explaining Kimberlin's attempt to frame blogger Aaron Walker for a criminal act. A security camera disproved Kimberlin's false accusations and the charges were dropped, but the police refused to take action against Kimberlin for perjury and malicious prosecution.

 

The Growing Opposition to Brett Kimberlin's Campaign of Political Terrorism

The Brett Kimberlin saga is both distressing and depressing, in that he has targeted a number of conservative bloggers who have spoken out against him.  Kimberlin is a felon who was sentenced to 50 years in prison for setting eight bombs in Speedway, Indiana in 1978, costing one man his leg and later his life (the man committed suicide due to the pain and depression resulting from Kimberlin's bomb).

There is a growing opposition to Kimberlin and his pals, going as high as Michelle Malkin, a Fox News Analyst and very high profile blogger.  A legal fund has been set up to provide legal assistance to victims of Kimberlin's vexatious litigation.  (Donate here.)

Normally, I wouldn't give two hoots in hell about a criminal turned liberal (the two groups have so much in common).  Kimberlin would have been smart to answer criticism with contrite humility, assuring everyone that he has learned from his mistakes, and is now on a lifelong quest to bring peace, harmony and love to the world.  Of course, he would have been lying through his teeth, but it would have defused the opposition and kept his sordid past somewhat under the radar.

However, a chief characteristic of ardent "progressives" is irrational anger and a desire for revenge.  Like suicide bombers, they will gladly destroy themselves in order to punish their enemies.

Brett Kimberlin should have tiptoed past the sleeping bear.  What he did instead was to smack the sleeping bear in the nose.  Okay, a few hundred sleeping bears, and they are angry and hungry for Kimberlin's hide.

That's a metaphor, Brett, not an actual description.  It means that you have single-handedly created an army of ardent, motivated enemies who will seek retribution, who will organize, fund-raise, obtain legal and congressional representation.  What they will do, I surmise, is give you some legal action of your own...as a defendant...and maybe sue your nonprofits too and possibly get your tax exempt status revoked.  Find out who the Board of Directors are and sue them.  That will really make you popular among the progressive set, I'll wager.  Then I suppose they will spread the word about your violent, criminal past far and wide.  Maybe they will even get your parole revoked.  I don't know for sure, but it seems to me that you have a lot to lose in pressing this fight.

Yes, Brett, you have made yet another bad choice in a lifetime of bad choices.  Now you will deal with the aftermath...again.  Ever hear of the saying "actions have consequences"?

"Progressives" Believe the End Justifies the Means: Some Examples of Others Who Did Also (Photos)

All of the people pictured below are extremists. They believed that their desired end justified the means. Today's "progressives" will understand that -- it's something they practice daily.

See if you can name the "ends justifiers" below and describe their crimes against humanity.  All of them used either firearms or bombs in their crimes (one of them used both).

Donald Douglas, Dr. Doom to the Left

Donald Douglas at American Power surely has my respect.  He makes a practice of going toe-to-toe with the worst leftist vermin on the web.  I couldn't do this.  It's like swimming through an open sewer, or dancing with the inmates of an asylum for the criminally insane.

He demonstrates here, for example, how the left supports Brett Kimberlin, former felon and convicted terrorist, drug dealer, perjurer and all around asshole.  Kimberlin's tactics at shutting down criticism and revelations of his sordid past are extreme.  That's just fine with the totalitarian and grossly misnamed "progressives," who are really just a rehash of 1930's style Stalinism.  May they all rot in Hell.

Kudos to Dr. Douglas.  It's really a very rotten job, but someone has to do it.

Why Progressives Hate Conservatives (by David Horowitz)

I found this quote from David Horowitz at frontpagemag.com.  It was taken from Horowitz's book "How to Beat the Democrats."

Their [progressives'] cyncism flows from the very perception they have of right and wrong. They do it for noble ends. They do it for the progressive faith. They do it because they see themselves as gods, as having the power — through correct politics — to redeem the world. It is that terrifyingly exalted ambition that fuels their spiritual arrogance and justifies their means.

And that is why they hate conservatives. They hate you because you are killers of their dream. You are defenders of a Constitution that thwarts their cause. They hate you because your “reactionary” commitment to individual rights, to a single standard and to a neutral and limited state obstructs their progressive designs. They hate you because you are believers in property and its rights as the cornerstones of prosperity and human freedom; because you do not see the market economy as a mere instrument for acquiring personal wealth and stocking political war chests, but as both means and end.

Conservatives who think progressives are misinformed idealists will always be blind-sided by the sheer malice of the left — by the cynicism of those who pride themselves on their principles; by the viciousness of those who champion sensitivity; by the intolerance of those who call themselves liberal; and by the ruthless disregard for the well-being of the poor on the part of those who preen themselves as their champions.

Conservatives are surprised because they see progressives as merely misguided, when they are, in fact, morally – and ontologically — misdirected. They are the messianists of a false religious faith. Since the redeemed future that justifies their existence and rationalizes their hypocrisy can never be realized, what really motivates progressives is a modern idolatry: their limitless passion for the continuance of Them.
