Long-Time Conservative Blogger Needs Help: "Always On Watch." Please help!

Always on Watch is a conservative blog that has been around for some time, and always a friend to me and many other bloggers.  Mrs. AOW is a home school teacher in Virginia and one of the most elegant and classy ladies in the conservative blogosphere.   A few years back her husband suffered a serious stroke, and Mrs. AOW was put through a very difficult and trying period, caring for her husband through recovery and rehabilitation, all while carrying on her home school teaching business.  It took Herculean effort on her part, but she did it.

Now Mr. & Mrs. AOW are going through a string of bad luck and could use some financial help:  Mr. AOW's special hospital bed is broke and needs fixing or replacement; the furnace just went out in very cold weather, the water heater may be next, and the car's brakes are worn out.  Meanwhile, there is an electrical problem in the house wiring that could cause a fire if not fixed. Finally, due to the Medicare doughnut hole, a prescription that usually costs $24 now costs $648.  And you thought you had problems!

We all need help now and then.  I have been on both the receiving end and the giving end, but now it's AOW's turn to receive in this holiday season.  I am "paying it forward."  As I once was helped by fellow bloggers, I now gladly help another whose need is great.  Join me in this effort.  Be a hero to a fellow blogger, a comrade in arms, an ally, a kindred spirit.

You can read about AOW's troubles at this link.  Scroll down the page and you will find her tip jar in the right sidebar.

I just contributed $50.  Please contribute $5, $10, $25, $50 or whatever you can afford.

Please repost this on your own blog as well.  Spread the word.

Thanks, Stogie. Going there now to put some money in her tip jar. Take care.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'd rather die than ask for money, but I certainly accept gifts freely offered.

The last two weeks have been a big slam.
