Obama's Dangerous Delusions Regarding Islam

Barack Obama is dangerously deluded.  At his big conference the other day to discuss dealing with extremism, he repeated one meme over and over:  the West is not at war with Islam.  Terrorists are not Islamic.  The day before, some woman in the State Department made the asinine observation that the root cause of terrorism is poverty and frustration over non-responsive governments.  "We can't kill our way out of this war," she opined.  Yep, just like we couldn't drill our way out of high gas prices, but we did anyway.

Here's a big tablespoon of reality, Barack.  Yes, we are at war with Islam -- their choice, not ours.  Terrorism is indeed Islamic.  All of these Muslims in ISIS, Al Qada, the Taliban and Boko Haram are merely obeying their holy scriptures.  They are literally carrying out the dictates of their prophet and following his example.  Muhammad too, was a terrorist and mass-murderer.  Obama is following the progressive dictum that says reality can be changed by refusing to acknowledge it.

As for the airhead in the State Department, Muslims don't cut off people's heads and burn them alive because they seek a new vocation.  Leave it to a bureaucrat to see every problem solvable by applying their favorite panacea.  Remember the huge tsunami of 2004 that savaged Indonesia Sri Lanka?  Some absurd progressive sent a large shipment of condoms to assist the victims.  Yes, when one has been trashed by a tsunami, one tends to get a bit randy.  His panacea to every problem:  free birth control.

An old saying applies here:  When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

The Cowardly King

Everyone has now heard about Obama's defense of ISIS's evil at the prayer breakfast in Washington two days ago.  Obama sought to create "moral equivalence" between mass murder committed by Islamists and that allegedly created by Christians during the Crusades and the Inquisition.

In a nutshell:  Per Obama, Christian civilization is no more moral than Islamic civilization [this is pure horse puckey, but let's assume for the sake of argument that Obama is right].  Other religions besides Islam have brutalized people in past times.  Therefore, we shouldn't get up on our "high horse."

Let's see if we can come up with some logical extensions of Obama's thinking:

1.  Since other religions have also done evil things in the past, we should feel no moral outrage against ISIS for mass murdering Christians, Kurds, Shiites, beheading helpless captives, and burning a captured pilot alive.

2.  We have inherited the ancient sins and the guilt of our ancestors, and because of this, are unworthy of moral outrage.  Therefore, we cannot take any actions to stop Islamic barbarism in the here and now.  We must accept our deaths, because it is ISIS's turn to murder people; it's only fair, after all.  With any luck we will meditate on our shameful guilt before the scimitar separates our heads from our necks.

3.  Because of point #2, Obama is off the hook for doing nothing substantive to stop ISIS, and may not be criticized for the failure, nor for cuddling up to the Muslim Brotherhood and other radical Islamic groups.

The fact is, Obama seeks to obliterate any sense of moral clarity in defeating Islamic extremism.  Without the clear sense that one's enemy is evil and his own cause is just, victory becomes more difficult to attain.  So, Obama hopes, we will do nothing instead.  The legendary "Fifth Column" is not only in our gates, but is occupying the White House.

Obama did not invent the leftist "moral equivalence" meme, but his words at the prayer breakfast last week were the epitome of this strategy, in all its disgusting falsity and destructiveness.  The left seeks to substitute moral ambivalence for moral clarity.  In the process, they weaken our will to survive evil.

I see the Muslim animals in the Middle East burned a Jordanian pilot alive.  They put him in a cage, drenched him with gasoline, and lit a fire under the cage.

Islam is so uber-evil, that it is impossible any longer to be shocked by what its followers do in the name of their fake god.

Nice try, ISIS, but I cannot hate you or your religion any more than I already do.

Obama's Latest Failure: Bombing Campaign of ISIS Fails.

Obama's plan to stop the aggression of the Islamic State terrorists with bombs only, no boots on the ground, has failed miserably.  ISIS is now expanding its reach into Syria and Iraq.  Obama's presidency is one giant, unfolding failure.  The U.K. Independent reports:

America's plans to fight Islamic State are in ruins as the militant group's fighters come close to capturing Kobani and have inflicted a heavy defeat on the Iraqi army west of Baghdad. The US-led air attacks launched against Islamic State (also known as Isis) on 8 August in Iraq and 23 September in Syria have not worked. President Obama's plan to "degrade and destroy" Islamic State has not even begun to achieve success. In both Syria and Iraq, Isis is expanding its control rather than contracting.

Obama's reign has shown a spotlight on a profound truth:  liberal policies are miserable failures when applied to either the economy or foreign policy.  They don't work.  They never work.  They make things worse.

Where will we be in two more years?  It is a frightening thought.

Finally, A Decent Speech By Barack Obama, With One Disagreement

President Obama's speech about ISIS (also called ISIL) was one of his best.  For a change, it wasn't self-serving or pushing the far left agenda.  He told the truth about ISIS, mostly anyway.  Obama said, in part:

Let’s be clear about ISIL. They have rampaged across cities and villages killing innocent, unarmed civilians in cowardly acts of violence. They abduct women and children and subject them to torture and rape and slavery. They have murdered Muslims, both Sunni and Shi’a, by the thousands. They target Christians and religious minorities, driving them from their homes, murdering them when they can, for no other reason than they practice a different religion.

Islam has always murdered people who practice other religions, and Muslims are commanded by their prophet to do so, in an eternal war against the non-Muslim world.  ISIS is largely just following Mu's commandments.

They declared their ambition to commit genocide against an ancient people. So ISIL speaks for no religion. Their victims are overwhelmingly Muslim, and no faith teaches people to massacre innocents. No just god would stand for what they did yesterday and what they do every single day. ISIL has no ideology of any value to human beings. Their ideology is bankrupt. They may claim out of expediency that they are at war with the United States or the West, but the fact is they terrorize their neighbors and offer them nothing but an endless slavery to their empty vision and the collapse of any definition of civilized behavior.

I absolutely agree with the second statement about "no just God," and that's why Allah is not a just god.  His "prophet," in several Koranic verses, does indeed command Muslims to "massacre innocents."  This is where Obama is wrong.  Two of those verses are below.

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them." [From The Religion of Peace]

Quran 9:5 (the infamous verse of the sword inciting mass murder):  "Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful." [From Daniel Pipes]

ISIS Is The True Face of Islam: Pure Evil

ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria,  is absolutely brutal, ruthless, merciless.  This military style force has taken over large parts of both Syria and Iraq.  Their goal is to restore the Islamic Caliphate.  The Caliphate was formed after Muhammad's death, a kind of Islamic Papacy, that rules over all Muslims worldwide.  It existed for many decades, until it was dissolved after World War I.  However, Muslims want it back.

ISIS has been executing Christians, Shiite Muslims, Kurds and Yazidis for some time now.  They behead many, crucify others, and shoot many more.  They are pure evil, but they are the true face of Islam.  They are merely following the example of their "prophet," Muhammad, who was also a ruthless, murdering megalomaniac who committed similar atrocities in the name of his "religion."

Yesterday a YouTube video came to light with the title "A Message To America," showing the beheading murder of American journalist, James Wright Foley.  These sub-humans seem to think that such atrocities will strike fear into our hearts and make us stop all opposition to their evil.  It will have the opposite effect.  In light of such barbaric mass murder, our determination to wipe out ISIS grows stronger daily.  Jihadis must die, all of them, without exception.

I wanted US troops out of Iraq.  Now I want them back in.  Not to make democrats out of the Shiites, but to kill ISIS, wipe them out to the last man.  They say they love death.  Let's give it to them.

ISIS Must Die

I have never been a bit reticent in proclaiming my everlasting hatred for Islam, its religion and its culture.  It is barbaric, dedicated to mass murder and totalitarian rule.

ISIS, or the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, is the most retrograde and brutal yet, of all the Islamic terrorist groups that have come before it.   They are murdering Christians and other religious groups in mass numbers, executing other Muslims (the Shiites) by firing squad.   Some Christians have been crucified.  ISIS vermin are beheading many and putting the severed heads on pikes as a warning to others.  Even small children of Christian parents are being beheaded.  This is a true genocide, unlike the leftist fairy tale of IDF genocide in Gaza.

ISIS is the epitome of evil, one large, unfolding atrocity, a massive crime against humanity.

Obama has finally ordered a few limited air strikes against the ISIS invaders, which is too little and too late for my tastes.

I would hate to have to resort to more American "boots on the ground," exposing our troops to the murderous madness of Islam.  However, non-Muslims are the most at risk, the Christians, Kurds and the Yazidis.  I would like to see boots on the ground, American troops committed to wiping out ISIS to the last man.  Not capturing them, not reforming them, not rehabilitating them -- but killing them.  This would serve as a warning to the rest of the Islamic world that we are fed up with their murderous ways.

Once the ISIS thugs are all dead, then we dictate terms to the government of Iraq:  no more Jew hatred, no more unequal treatment of women, no more intolerance of all other (peaceful) religions.  [Update:  And no more Sharia law.]
