Today was the last moments of the Obama Administration.  Once Trump took the oath of office, the torch was passed.  I felt a great burden lifting as it did.

Apparently, there was little in the way of protests and leftist disruption, in spite of radical threats and promises.  Donald and Melanie escorted Barack and Michelle to the door of a waiting helicopter, and away flew the Obamas into history, relative obscurity and irrelevance.

Let the healing begin.

First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student, then deny he was a foreigner. • First President to have a social security number from a state he has never lived in. • First President to preside over a cut to the credit-rating of the United States. • First President to violate the War Powers Act. • First President to be held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. • First President to require all Americans to purchase a product from a third party. • First President to spend a trillion dollars on “shovel-ready” jobs when there was no such thing as “shovel-ready” jobs. • First President to abrogate bankruptcy law to turn over control of companies to his union supporters. • First President to by-pass Congress and implement the Dream Act through executive fiat. • First President to order a secret amnesty program that stopped the deportation of illegal immigrants across the U.S., including those with criminal convictions. • First President to demand a company hand-over $20 billion to one of his political appointees. • First President to tell a CEO of a major corporation (Chrysler) to resign. • First President to terminate America’s ability to put a man in space. • First President to cancel the National Day of Prayer and to say that America is no longer a Christian nation. • First President to have a law signed by an auto-pen without being present. • First President to arbitrarily declare an existing law unconstitutional and refuse to enforce it. • First President to threaten insurance companies if they publicly spoke out on the reasons for their rate increases. • First President to tell a major manufacturing company in which state it is allowed to locate a factory. • First President to file lawsuits against the states he swore an oath to protect (AZ, WI, OH, IN). • First President to withdraw an existing coal permit that had been properly issued years ago. • First President to actively try to bankrupt an American industry (coal). • First President to fire an inspector general of AmeriCorps for catching one of his friends in a corruption case. • First President to appoint 45 czars to replace elected officials in his office. • First President to surround himself with radical left wing anarchists. • First President to golf more than 150 separate times in his five years in office. • First President to hide his birth, medical, educational and travel records. • First President to win a Nobel Peace Prize for doing NOTHING to earn it. • First President to go on multiple “global apology tours” and concurrent “insult our friends” tours. • First President to go on over 17 lavish vacations, in addition to date nights and Wednesday evening White House parties for his friends paid for by the taxpayers. • First President to have personal servants (taxpayer funded) for his wife. • First President to keep a dog trainer on retainer for $102,000 a year at taxpayer expense. • First President to fly in a personal trainer from Chicago at least once a week at taxpayer expense. • First President to repeat the Holy Quran and tell us the early morning call of the Azan (Islamic call to worship) is the most beautiful sound on earth • First President to side with a foreign nation over one of the American 50 states (Mexico vs Arizona). • First President to tell the military men and women that they should pay for their own private insurance because they “volunteered to go to war and knew the consequences.” • Then he was the First President to tell the members of the military that THEY were UNPATRIOTIC for balking at the last suggestion. (Glad he didn’t get away with THIS one.) How is this hope and change working out for you?

Barack Obama's Last Year In Office -- My Thoughts

Tomorrow begins Barack Obama's last year in office.  Thank God.  He surely qualifies as one of the most damaging and destructive presidents in U.S. history.  Some folks say that 2016 will be "the end of an error," and that Obama's presidency was "One Big Ass Mistake America, O.B.A.M.A."  Yes, they are right.

It is scary and surprising that American freedom is so fragile and precarious, so easily swept away by cultural fads like electing the "first African-American President," without giving much weight, if any, to his philosophical underpinnings, his lack of experience and wisdom, his radical ideology.  As a president, Barack Obama has been a disaster, doubling the national debt, weakening the military, damaging the economy with his foolish health care plan (which doubled the cost of health care while reducing the coverage for most Americans), his opposition to domestic energy production, his naive moral and other support for Islam, his flooding the country with third world immigrants, thus increasing crime and welfare dependency but increasing the voting base for the Democratic Party, which was his main objective all along.

In 2016, Obama will do his best to further his leftist goals, including more wealth redistribution schemes, using taxes from productive citizens to buy the votes of the non-productive, import more low-skilled immigrants from Mexico and the Middle East, regardless of the economic cost for the former and the terrorism danger from the latter.  The Republican Party has become a joke, and will not seriously oppose Obama's policies.

One more year.  Let us survive it with as little damage as possible, until January 2017, when we will finally be rid of this incompetent, radical ideologue, and perhaps finally able to begin repairing the damage and destruction that his presidency has wrought.

I am appalled at our Democrats-in-power.  Barack Obama entertaining the notion of raising taxes by Executive Order.  Obama trying to hatch a secret deal with the Iranians, which some say will grease the skids to their nuclear bomb -- and without the advice and consent of Congress.

Now Hillary has been called on the carpet for running her own email server and doing state business on it rather than on the official email server.  That's against the law, so why did  she do it?

She claims that she would have to have two iPhones or Blackberries to use two different email addresses, and opted for using just one, for convenience sake.  Horse puckey.  You can put several email addresses on a single iPhone, so that explanation is lame and doesn't wash.

The truth, I suspect, is that she was doing unethical things with Obama, things related to Benghazi and other scandals.  Her and Barack's plot to lie about the terrorist attack on Benghazi and pretend it was just a protest against an inflammatory video that got out of hand.  Yeah, that's the ticket.  It certainly wasn't because Obama and Hillary are incompetent boobs who didn't take security threats seriously -- especially with Obama up for reelection.

Obama's Dangerous Delusions Regarding Islam

Barack Obama is dangerously deluded.  At his big conference the other day to discuss dealing with extremism, he repeated one meme over and over:  the West is not at war with Islam.  Terrorists are not Islamic.  The day before, some woman in the State Department made the asinine observation that the root cause of terrorism is poverty and frustration over non-responsive governments.  "We can't kill our way out of this war," she opined.  Yep, just like we couldn't drill our way out of high gas prices, but we did anyway.

Here's a big tablespoon of reality, Barack.  Yes, we are at war with Islam -- their choice, not ours.  Terrorism is indeed Islamic.  All of these Muslims in ISIS, Al Qada, the Taliban and Boko Haram are merely obeying their holy scriptures.  They are literally carrying out the dictates of their prophet and following his example.  Muhammad too, was a terrorist and mass-murderer.  Obama is following the progressive dictum that says reality can be changed by refusing to acknowledge it.

As for the airhead in the State Department, Muslims don't cut off people's heads and burn them alive because they seek a new vocation.  Leave it to a bureaucrat to see every problem solvable by applying their favorite panacea.  Remember the huge tsunami of 2004 that savaged Indonesia Sri Lanka?  Some absurd progressive sent a large shipment of condoms to assist the victims.  Yes, when one has been trashed by a tsunami, one tends to get a bit randy.  His panacea to every problem:  free birth control.

An old saying applies here:  When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

Defending ISIS: Obama's Assault on Moral Clarity at the Prayer Breakfast #ISIS, #prayerbreakfast #Obama

The Cowardly King

Everyone has now heard about Obama's defense of ISIS's evil at the prayer breakfast in Washington two days ago.  Obama sought to create "moral equivalence" between mass murder committed by Islamists and that allegedly created by Christians during the Crusades and the Inquisition.

In a nutshell:  Per Obama, Christian civilization is no more moral than Islamic civilization [this is pure horse puckey, but let's assume for the sake of argument that Obama is right].  Other religions besides Islam have brutalized people in past times.  Therefore, we shouldn't get up on our "high horse."

Let's see if we can come up with some logical extensions of Obama's thinking:

1.  Since other religions have also done evil things in the past, we should feel no moral outrage against ISIS for mass murdering Christians, Kurds, Shiites, beheading helpless captives, and burning a captured pilot alive.

2.  We have inherited the ancient sins and the guilt of our ancestors, and because of this, are unworthy of moral outrage.  Therefore, we cannot take any actions to stop Islamic barbarism in the here and now.  We must accept our deaths, because it is ISIS's turn to murder people; it's only fair, after all.  With any luck we will meditate on our shameful guilt before the scimitar separates our heads from our necks.

3.  Because of point #2, Obama is off the hook for doing nothing substantive to stop ISIS, and may not be criticized for the failure, nor for cuddling up to the Muslim Brotherhood and other radical Islamic groups.

The fact is, Obama seeks to obliterate any sense of moral clarity in defeating Islamic extremism.  Without the clear sense that one's enemy is evil and his own cause is just, victory becomes more difficult to attain.  So, Obama hopes, we will do nothing instead.  The legendary "Fifth Column" is not only in our gates, but is occupying the White House.

Obama did not invent the leftist "moral equivalence" meme, but his words at the prayer breakfast last week were the epitome of this strategy, in all its disgusting falsity and destructiveness.  The left seeks to substitute moral ambivalence for moral clarity.  In the process, they weaken our will to survive evil.

Obama's Latest Failure: Bombing Campaign of ISIS Fails.

Obama's plan to stop the aggression of the Islamic State terrorists with bombs only, no boots on the ground, has failed miserably.  ISIS is now expanding its reach into Syria and Iraq.  Obama's presidency is one giant, unfolding failure.  The U.K. Independent reports:

America's plans to fight Islamic State are in ruins as the militant group's fighters come close to capturing Kobani and have inflicted a heavy defeat on the Iraqi army west of Baghdad. The US-led air attacks launched against Islamic State (also known as Isis) on 8 August in Iraq and 23 September in Syria have not worked. President Obama's plan to "degrade and destroy" Islamic State has not even begun to achieve success. In both Syria and Iraq, Isis is expanding its control rather than contracting.

Obama's reign has shown a spotlight on a profound truth:  liberal policies are miserable failures when applied to either the economy or foreign policy.  They don't work.  They never work.  They make things worse.

Where will we be in two more years?  It is a frightening thought.

Finally, A Decent Speech By Barack Obama, With One Disagreement

President Obama's speech about ISIS (also called ISIL) was one of his best.  For a change, it wasn't self-serving or pushing the far left agenda.  He told the truth about ISIS, mostly anyway.  Obama said, in part:

Let’s be clear about ISIL. They have rampaged across cities and villages killing innocent, unarmed civilians in cowardly acts of violence. They abduct women and children and subject them to torture and rape and slavery. They have murdered Muslims, both Sunni and Shi’a, by the thousands. They target Christians and religious minorities, driving them from their homes, murdering them when they can, for no other reason than they practice a different religion.

Islam has always murdered people who practice other religions, and Muslims are commanded by their prophet to do so, in an eternal war against the non-Muslim world.  ISIS is largely just following Mu's commandments.

They declared their ambition to commit genocide against an ancient people. So ISIL speaks for no religion. Their victims are overwhelmingly Muslim, and no faith teaches people to massacre innocents. No just god would stand for what they did yesterday and what they do every single day. ISIL has no ideology of any value to human beings. Their ideology is bankrupt. They may claim out of expediency that they are at war with the United States or the West, but the fact is they terrorize their neighbors and offer them nothing but an endless slavery to their empty vision and the collapse of any definition of civilized behavior.

I absolutely agree with the second statement about "no just God," and that's why Allah is not a just god.  His "prophet," in several Koranic verses, does indeed command Muslims to "massacre innocents."  This is where Obama is wrong.  Two of those verses are below.

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them." [From The Religion of Peace]

Quran 9:5 (the infamous verse of the sword inciting mass murder):  "Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful." [From Daniel Pipes]

Barack Obama's Passive Aggression

Passive aggression is a form of indirectly expressing anger, opposition or hostility.  Barack Obama appears to be taking a very passive-aggressive stance on a number of key issues lately, including illegal immigration and the collapse of Iraq.  Instead, he's drinking beer and playing pool in Colorado.  But what is passive aggression anyway?  Here's what Wikipedia says about it:

Passive-aggressive behavior is the indirect expression of hostility, such as through procrastination, sarcasm, stubbornness, sullenness, or deliberate or repeated failure to accomplish requested tasks for which one is (often explicitly) responsible.

For research purposes, the DSM-IV describes passive-aggressive personality disorder as a "pervasive pattern of negativistic attitudes and passive resistance to demands for adequate performance in social and occupational situations" [Italics added].

Passive aggression takes the form of passivity, a refusal to do what is expected, or by delaying or procrastinating in important tasks.  It can also be half-hearted performance of one's duties, performing them without energy or enthusiasm, i.e. by just "going through the motions."  It can also include withdrawal, a refusal to communicate with others.  Whatever form it takes, passive aggression is a form of resistance.  It is indirect sabotage of one's enemies -- like an employee who does a poor job or misses an important deadline, just to make his boss look bad.

Another example is the housewife and mother who lets the house become run down, dirty and chaotic, in order to punish her family.  Think piles of unwashed dishes in the sink, hampers overflowing with unwashed clothes, dust and dirt all over the floors of the house.  She is symbolically telling her family, I  don't like this job and I'm not going to do it anymore. Deal with it.

Barack Obama is being very passive-aggressive, watching America fall apart while he drinks beer at a pool hall in Colorado.  America no longer loves Obama, or believes in him or gives him his way on any and all issues.  Obama, perhaps feeling like a jilted lover, gets his revenge by letting the country go to hell, without any attempt to confront problems and solve them.  Like the housewife letting dirty dishes pile up in the sink, he allows the country to be flooded with illegal immigrants by doing nothing to stop them at the border.  You Republicans won't approve amnesty?  Okay, we'll let a flood of illegals come in.  You deal with it.

One can do much damage to his country (or his company, or family) by doing nothing when resolute action is required.  Obama is a man who refuses to do his job.  He should step down, or be removed from office.

Obama's Stunning Achievements as President

It's easy to become almost jaded from the daily onslaught of Obama scandals, crimes and outrages.  Once you accept that this isn't America anymore, the daily outrages seem almost anti-climactic.  If ever there was a U.S. president who has crossed the line to impeachment, it is Barack Obama.  For the good of the country, Obama should be removed.  Blacks will go apoplectic, there will be one long, loud shout of RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACISM by Democrats and the left, and the citizens of Oakland, California will set things on fire and break windows.  Even more so than usual, I mean.

Tough.  Impeach the S.O.B.  Let us review some of his sterling achievements:

1.  Benghazi.  When the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya was attacked by Muslim Terrorists (but I repeat myself), Obama ordered our military to stand down and take no action to save our embassy personnel.  Four Americans died, including the U.S. Ambassador, even though we had military assets in the area that could have saved these men.  However, fighting the terrorists would make it obvious that Obama's outreach policy to Islamic states was a failure -- that Al Qaeda was still in business, and that he was a naive fool.

Obama then lied, stating that the attack was just a protest over an American anti-Muslim film that got out of hand.  He and Hillary even went on television in Islamic states apologizing for the film, which had little if anything to do with the attack.  The emerging truth about Benghazi is that everything Obama did, failed to do, or said about it, was for political reasons.  He sacrificed the lives of Americans in harms way, because he saw that as the least damaging option in his re-election campaign -- and then lied about the nature of the attack for the same reason.

2.  Border invasion of the illegals.  Thousands of illegals are crossing our border with Mexico, with complete impunity, and are being housed at various military bases, with hundreds more arriving by the hour.  Obama has deliberately failed to enforce our immigration laws, while forbidding border states to enforce these laws since immigration is the purview of the federal government.  The illegals are swamping our social services and welfare programs, taking jobs from Americans, bringing diseases, and increasing crime rates.  Many illegals are being collected and released at Arizona bus stops, an apparent poke in the eye to the Arizona governor, for attempting to stop illegal immigration in lieu of the federal government's failure to do so.  Obama's disastrous immigration policy is deliberate -- for reasons that are not obvious.

3.  Use of the IRS to punish political opponents.  During Obama's re-election campaign, Democrat operatives conspired with officials in the IRS to (a) deny or delay the granting of non-profit status to conservative groups; (b) to criminally prosecute conservative non-profit groups for alleged illegal activity; (c) to illegally reveal the details of such conservative groups to Democrat operatives of Obama's campaign.  Now that the conspiracy has been revealed, the IRS has conveniently "lost" the emails of the IRS officials who were involved, in a blatant display of obstruction of justice.  However, such emails could not be lost in the highly redundant backup system in use, as required by law.  They could only disappear by a conscious effort to delete them.  Lois Lerner will look darling in an orange jumpsuit.

4.  Chaos, incompetence and corruption in the launch of Obamacare, including millions spent on websites that don't work, the cancellation of millions of existing health insurance policies, and their replacement with much higher premiums providing less coverage.

5.  The release of five top Taliban commanders in exchange for one American deserter.  Obama released five top terrorists in exchange for the return of an American soldier who deserted his unit and may be a traitor deserving court-martial.  Obama did this without giving Congress 30 days notice, as required by law; he acted unilaterally, allowing no discussion, protest or debate.

6.  The collapse of Iraq.  Thousands of Iraqis are murdered by an invasion of yet another Muslim terrorist (but I repeat myself) group.  Obama could barely stifle a yawn.  What should he do?  At the very least, express regret and attribute it on Islamic laws, religion and culture, the same causes of Islamic murder over the past 14 centuries.  Use the situation to inform the Islamic world that they cannot count on our support in the absence of religious tolerance, freedom of religion, secular government, and recognition of Israel and its right to exist.  Absent that, they can kill each other until the cows come home.

7.  The VA scandal -- letting veterans die by denying them medical care.  A number of American veterans needing medical procedures were placed on waiting lists at Veterans Affairs hospitals.  Many died on those waiting lists, and it is alleged that this was deliberate, in order to save costs.

There are many more terrible policy decisions by Obama -- his energy policy, driving energy prices to absurd levels, his support of non-existent man-made catastrophic climate change, widespread spying on virually all Americans via the NSA, and more -- but these are not necessarily crimes deserving of impeachment.  However, items 1, 2, 3 and 5 above are criminal.  Obama must be removed by the impeachment process as soon as possible.

Obama Reveals Himself

Breitbart has printed a list of national parks and agencies that have been unnecessarily shut down by Obama, in order to force compliance with his political agenda.  A more mean-spirited, irresponsible and ruthless act by a president is almost unprecedented in American history.  I have long said that Barack Obama is more of a modern day fascist than a communist, and his latest behavior proves it.

John Nolte writes:

While our president still enjoys his essential employees and locations: the White House chefs, Camp David, and a military golf course, there doesn't seem to be any question that in mercenary pursuit of a political win, this White House is determined to unreasonably punish as many everyday people as possible. And this includes children sick with cancer. That might sound like hyperbole, but it is not.

And this:

There are many other examples of this president's cold-hearted fanaticism and willingness to punish people for reasons that seem to have much more to with spite than what is and is not "essential." In fact, there are a number of examples where Obama seems to be spending more money and using more resources to close and block and inconvenience than to just leave it alone.

 True.  Hiring guards to keep vets out of the World War II Memorial, when guards are not present when it is open; closing highway vista points to prevent motorists from viewing Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota (something that costs the federal government nothing); evicting an elderly couple from their home; closing state run and privately funded parks, and many more.

This shutdown episode clearly shows the hypocrisy and falsity of Democrat concern and caring for people, as they like to brag.  Cancer care for children has been shutdown (Obama refuses to allow special funding) and the Amber Alert website (for kidnapped children) has also been shut down [subsequently restored due to bad publicity].  The real thing, the only thing the Obamabots care about is raw power, and will do anything to gain it and hold on to it.

Barack Obama Has to Go

Barack Obama has proved himself to be a ruthless, left wing ideologue who will walk over anyone and everyone in order to impose socialism on an unwilling populace.  Rush reports that Obama has shut down the American Cemetery in Normandy, France and the Grand Canyon in Arizona.  Further, Obama has been talking down the economy to drive the stock market down.  Now he or his lieutenants are insinuating that social security checks will cease until Obama gets his way.

B.O. is on a slash and burn program of delivering pain to as many citizens as possible.  It's not only "his way or the highway," it's his way, period.  He will rule or ruin.

If the GOP can retake the senate in 2014 (a big if), Republican politicians should immediately pursue impeachment proceedings against this sophomoric little communist.

The Worthless Worm in the White House

I see that Obama has been shutting down all national parks and monuments, even those privately funded and those that do not require park service guards and personnel.  There is no need for this, he just wants to make the shut down as painful as possible for as many people as he can.

It is obvious the little snake in the White House is trying to stoke public resentment of the government shut down, the shut down that he orchestrated.  Of course, the media is playing along, blaming the shut down on the Republicans.

Barack Obama is the most divisive and destructive president in my lifetime, and I have nothing but disgust for him and Harry Reid.  Reid reminds me of a doctrinaire communist in his little brown suits and his always present expression of contempt.

Chain Email Myths

I received a chain email today with a great article entitled "Obama, the Affirmative Action Candidate."  The email claimed that the article was printed as an editorial in the Washington Post, noting that even this extreme liberal rag had finally seen the light.

I found this hard to believe, so took some of the verbiage from the article and googled it.  There were no links to the Washington Post, but there was a link to American Thinker, where the article actually appeared.  Just as I suspected, the Washington Post had not suddenly "seen the light" and begun criticizing the biggest empty suit since Millard Fillmore.

People who start these chain emails always seem to get some important fact wrong.  Great conservative screeds are wrongly attributed to dyed-in-the-wool liberals like Robin Williams, George Carlin, Andy Rooney or Bill Cosby.   Maybe the wrongful attribution is an honest mistake, or maybe it is designed to give greater weight to the screed by associating it with some beloved star.  In any case, it behooves us to take chain emails with a large grain of salt.  They are almost always wrong.

The American Thinker article, written in August 2011, is spot-on in its description of Obama.  He is the ultimate affirmative action baby, ushered through ivy league universities on the basis of his skin color, not his grades, and sent to the senate and ultimately the presidency, on the same basis.  He is a talentless hack for whom society has provided a paved highway to an undeserved success.  As for beloved stars, Obama's mediocre career can best be compared to a role by Peter Sellers, in the film "Being There."  Here's how "Rotten Tomatoes" describes that film (see anyone you know?):

There is a lot of screeching and lamentation on the Right about the federal government killing Americans.  However, the Americans being killed are members of Al Qaeda or other terrorist groups who are plotting and exercising terrorism against the United States.  They are doing this from foreign countries where they are out of the reach of the American justice system, and are being killed there.

I have absolutely no problem with killing them.  They are enemies of the United States who want to kill other Americans.  They deserve no more consideration than Bonnie and Clyde did with police officers who ambushed their car in 1934 and riddled it (and them) with bullets.  Bonnie and Clyde were Americans too....just like Machine Gun Kelly, Ma Barker, John Dillinger and many other criminals who were shot dead by police -- horrrors, without a trial! Without a court order! Without being read their Miranda rights!  Without being appointed a defense attorney!

The hysteria about “killing Americans” -- Both the left and the opportunistic, anti-Obama right are having conniptions about Obama’s claim to have the right to kill “American citizens,” or, more simply, to kill “Americans.” It’s a fraudulent issue, just as the overheated complaints about the killing of the “American” Anwar Awlaki in Yemen a couple of years ago were fraudulent. The individuals whom Obama claims the power to kill by drone are members of al Qaeda, people who are waging terrorist war against the United States...

Americans, particularly conservatives, tend to be fanatically legalistic in their thinking and fail to see substantive reality. Thus they absurdly demanded a legal proceeding stripping Awlaki of his citizenship or finding him guilty of treason before he could be killed by drone in Yemen.
