My Election Intuition Was Right in 2008, But What About Today in 2016?

Eight years ago, on October 3, 2008, I had a sudden flash of insight about the looming election of McCain vs. Obama.  That flash of insight caused me to believe that the election was lost to the GOP, that Barack Obama would win.  I wrote:
My intuition is often very accurate. This morning when I woke up, I had a strong feeling of certitude that we Republicans are going to lose this election and that Barack Obama will be the next president of the United States. It wasn’t a panicky feeling or a worried feeling or a feeling of fear, it was a calm realization, an inner knowing. It told me in a quiet but clear voice that the election is lost. The inner voice presented it to me as a done deal.
I further explained:
The reason is simple. Americans just get tired of the same brand, the same color, the same style and want to make a change. It’s a gamble that they are willing to take, that some way, somehow, someone new may have the answers to the country’s ills just as he promises. They just want a change, and not for any deep political or philosophical reasons, but as a simple reaction to boredom. That's the main reason Hillary lost to Obama. The public is tired of hearing about the Clintons. It's an old book that they've read before.before.
What does my amazing intuition tell me today?  It says..."DUH!  Beats the hell outta me."

However, I do see some hope from that second paragraph above, where I said "the public is tired of hearing about the Clintons.  It's an old book that they've read before."

Let's hope they still feel that way.

The Vice Presidential Debate of 2016 -- My Impressions

I watched the vice presidential debate between Tim Kaine (Democrat) and Mike Pence (Republican) tonight.  It was interesting and I felt that Pence had the better showing.

Kaine attacked Pence early and often, making accusations and issuing sound bites against Trump.  Kaine interrupted Pence in the early part of the debate, talking over Pence when it was Pence's time to speak.  Kaine came across as rude and boorish, while Pence was far more gentlemanly and polite.

I am confident that the television audience noticed Kaine's brutish behavior.  So far, every poll I have seen indicates Mike Pence won the debate by a wide margin.

2016 Elections: We're Screwed Again

The polls are showing Hillary winning the election in November.  It's hard to believe that the American people could be that totally dumb, uninformed and out of touch.  But they are.  Here's why:

1.  The mainstream media has never been so partisan.  They report what they want you to hear, suppress what they don't, and spin bad news that they can't hide.  The major media is Democrat and an arm of the Democratic Party.  There is no objective journalism in the United States.

2.  Most people are low information voters.  They make their voting decision on sound bites and fleeting impressions of the candidates.  They are lazy and uninformed.  They don't bother to realize that how they vote affects their own pocket books, personal security and long-term prospects.

3.  Donald Trump has shot himself in the foot too many times.  When you are the head of a multimillion dollar corporation, you can say anything you want in the workplace; no one will dare challenge you.  That doesn't work in the public arena.  Trump has given the media a lot of ammunition to use against him.  His recent acknowledgement and apology for this may help some, but there are only two months before the election.  Time is not on his side.

Lesson of San Jose: Time to Deport the Illegals

In my former hometown of San Jose yesterday, illegal aliens (aka "wetbacks") and their leftist supporters attacked Trump fans.  Trump voters were punched, or had rocks or eggs thrown at them.  I wasn't there, and it's probably great that I wasn't.  If ever we needed free carry of firearms, now is the time.  The illegals have gotten way out of hand, as happens in a "sanctuary city" where U.S. immigration laws are deliberately unenforced.  The illegal scum have an enormous sense of entitlement, and why not?  Jerry Brown and his democratic fascist followers have made it easy for illegals to vote in this state.  They can sign up when they get their California drivers license.

Liberal politicians are a kind of acid that is slowly dissolving our country.  Yes, I am voting for Trump.  The condition of the country is increasingly desperate, and the Presidency is not a job for wimps.

Anti-Trump Republicans' New Strategy!

There is currently a lot of whining, cry-baby insults and memes from the GOP Anti-Trump crowd.  Dave at Moonbattery has been throwing some impressive temper-tantrums.

My major reasons for supporting Trump are clear:  (1) He wants to stop illegal immigration, (2) He wants to stop Muslim immigrations, (3) He hates political correctness and wants to destroy it, (4) He wants to rebuild the military that has been so badly weakened by Obama, (5) He wants to fix bad trade deals with foreign countries that transfer American jobs overseas.

However, the anti-Trump Republicans have a new strategy:  shoot themselves in the foot, and then reload and shoot the other foot.  Brilliant move, crybabies.  Grow up and get with the program.

Donald Trump's Best Argument

This fact tilts my allegiance towards Trump more than anything else.

Found graphic on Twitter.

This is not to say that I agree with Trump on everything.  I abhor his comments that George Bush "lied" about the Iraqi weapons of mass destruction, and that "911 occurred on Bush's watch," both highly dishonest statements often posed by the left.

I also am displeased with his savaging other candidates like Ted Cruz.

BERNIE SANDERS: NEXT PRESIDENT OR FIRST COMMISSAR?

Kooky left web-based magazine Salon is saying that Hillary can't win, but certain polls show that Bernie Sanders would beat the stuffings out of any Republican in a general election.  I find the claim about Sanders to be utterly unbelievable.  Is the great mass of the American populace really that ignorant?

Bernie Sanders is advocating a 90% top tax rate and massive spending to give free stuff to millennials and others who want a free ride.  This, of course, would greatly increase the pace of our descent into bankruptcy and economic ruin.  It would leave to posterity massive debt to pay off, without enjoying any of the benefits consumed by an earlier generation.

By way of analogy, imagine you had a credit card with a high debt limit.  It is guaranteed by your grandchildren -- if you don't repay it, your grandchildren will have to repay it instead.  So you decide to live it up, live in the high rent district, eat caviar and drink champagne, take lavish vacations, buy expensive sports cars, smoke the best cigars, and run around with wicked women.  Great fun, and all of it charged to the credit card!  So when it comes time to die, you hand the now over-the-limit credit card to your grandkids, and tell them to get to work because they are going to have to pay off your past fun.

Now your grandkids have to live in cheap housing, eat cheap and unhealthy food, work overtime, forego vacations, and drive old clunky cars -- all so they can pay for your past expenditures.

You have stolen posterity's wealth.  You have robbed the future.  Who cares?  You're dead.

That, basically, is what Bernie Sanders advocates, and what the spoiled, indoctrinated millennials want.  As long as they aren't here to suffer the consequences, they are more than ready to steal from posterity.

OF COURSE, my analogy is too simplistic.  It only deals with Bernie's robbing of future generations.  In reality, he proposes to rob the present generation as well, through vastly higher taxes.  He would first drain his grandkids bank accounts in the present, before saddling them with debt to pay in the future.  Clever guy.  The grandfather from Hell.

Barack Obama's Last Year In Office -- My Thoughts

Tomorrow begins Barack Obama's last year in office.  Thank God.  He surely qualifies as one of the most damaging and destructive presidents in U.S. history.  Some folks say that 2016 will be "the end of an error," and that Obama's presidency was "One Big Ass Mistake America, O.B.A.M.A."  Yes, they are right.

It is scary and surprising that American freedom is so fragile and precarious, so easily swept away by cultural fads like electing the "first African-American President," without giving much weight, if any, to his philosophical underpinnings, his lack of experience and wisdom, his radical ideology.  As a president, Barack Obama has been a disaster, doubling the national debt, weakening the military, damaging the economy with his foolish health care plan (which doubled the cost of health care while reducing the coverage for most Americans), his opposition to domestic energy production, his naive moral and other support for Islam, his flooding the country with third world immigrants, thus increasing crime and welfare dependency but increasing the voting base for the Democratic Party, which was his main objective all along.

In 2016, Obama will do his best to further his leftist goals, including more wealth redistribution schemes, using taxes from productive citizens to buy the votes of the non-productive, import more low-skilled immigrants from Mexico and the Middle East, regardless of the economic cost for the former and the terrorism danger from the latter.  The Republican Party has become a joke, and will not seriously oppose Obama's policies.

One more year.  Let us survive it with as little damage as possible, until January 2017, when we will finally be rid of this incompetent, radical ideologue, and perhaps finally able to begin repairing the damage and destruction that his presidency has wrought.

Ben Carson Gets Reamed by Politico, Politico Gets Reamed by Rush Limbaugh

Everyone knows the major media (and a lot of the minor media) are mere house organs for the Democratic Party.  They report whatever helps their candidates, omit anything that doesn't, and make stuff up about Republicans when they can't find any real dirt.

Politico, a left wing website attempted to smear Ben Carson yesterday, with a very biased and errant article.  In case you haven't, read about it at Rush's site here.

It's good that conservatives are finally fighting back at media bias, which has become quite extreme in the past eight years.  The left is absolutely determined to foist a form of fascism on us, and we on the right are equally determined that they shall not.  What happens when an irresistible force meets an unmovable object?  Whatever it is, it won't be pretty.

Rand Paul Is An ASS

This week Rand Paul, loony son of even loonier father Ron Paul, stated that his party, the Republicans, have been wrong on foreign policy for the past fifty years.  He also stated that the USA created ISIS with our policies.  Paul, whom I shall now refer to as "Wrong Rand," is a paleolibertarian, a strange blend of far right and far left politics.  I have always viewed paleos as political schizophrenics.  On foreign policy they agree with the far left Democrats, who believe our only foreign policy is to never intervene, and when we are attacked, to blame ourselves for "blowback," i.e., some ancient wrong we committed against our innocent enemies that caused simmering hostility toward us, finally exploding into violence.  We should humbly admit our sins, and apologize to our attackers for forcing them to attack us in the first place.

Screw you Rand Paul.  It'll be a cold day in Hell before I ever vote for you, in the primaries or even the general election should you make it that far.

How Hillary Clinton Seems to Me

Shrillary Clinton
Hillary Clinton is running for president.  I am not enthused.

Sure, there are the usual arguments for opposing her:  she's never accomplished much in her long life, never been a leader, never been an effective head of an organization of any import.  All that's true, but that's not the worst of it.

When I think of Hillary Clinton, I think of an arrogant, angry woman with a superiority-complex, looking down her nose at the little people, all with a scowl on her face.  Rules do not apply to her, they are for other people.  Facts don't matter, only spin.  Even if I agreed with Hillary philosophically, I would find it impossible to like her personally.  It seems to me that her whole existence on this planet, her every waking moment, is suffused with one burning agenda:  to rule the masses, the masses whom she hates, and for whom she feels only contempt.

That, in a nutshell, is how Hillary Clinton seems to me.
