Will ya'll look at that. The black man's gonna take away my money if'n I don't vote for'em. Yuk. Yuk.
But if'n I vote for the Republicant Party, I ain't gonna have any money to be taken away. Besides, pay'n 'job creator' like Paris Hilton's taxes fer her is patriotic. Maybe'n she'll kiss me next time. Yuk. Yuk.
Seriously though, do you think that it will be any different if a Republican is elected to POTUS?
Bro, a very good question. Actually, I have been deleting many of her posts as they have become meaningless rants, taunts and insults. Ema seems to be a liberal having a nervous breakdown. Still, she is a great advertisement for why people shouldn't be liberals.

Sadly that statement is not far from the truth.
I was watching Trent Lott on C-Span speak to college students. A point he made is that Administrations change, Congress changes but the Bureaucratic Leaders in Washington remain the same. Those that run the agencies etc., they don't leave when the President changes.... They keep their jobs. And they know how to work the system inside and out.
I always find the Presidential Election a fascinating time.... but I don't expect any real positive changes to be made. We are on a speeding train headed for a cliff.... and all of our leaders are arguing over what's being served at the buffet.
PJM, I am sure Ema appreciates your support. However, if that were true then it would be time for a violent revolution.
I believe that a Republican president and congress will make a difference, in the stock market, in the private sector's trust that the federal government isn't going to deliberately ruin them, in the cost of energy by a party that supports drilling and exploration, and in low taxes. Further, I think the differences will show up immediately in consumer confidence and optimism.
Can't say I support Ema..... cause she thinks the Democrats have the answer. But I don't have a lot of confidence that the Republicans will not screw me in the long run either. I thought the Tea Party was going to be the revolution... a 3rd party. And there have been signs of success. Rand Paul would not have had the backing of the Republican Party honchos without the Tea Party support, and there are others. But I think the relationship between the Tea Party and Republican Party is to cozy for my liking.
I came across this piece from James Altucher.... trader, hedge fund manager... bright guy. It rings true for me.

What he almost said to Joe the Plumber before catching himself. He thought 'redistribute' was a big enough word to skate by.

pjm, I think "never voting again" is a fine philosophy...for liberals, and I strongly encourage them to adopt such a stance and to stand by it.
