Little Islands of Liberty to Form Throughout America

Heck, fifteen years ago, the League of the South had these same ideas i.e., how to create a form of internal secession and organization of like-minded communities to resist the advance of cultural Marxism.  Now someone is actually doing what they envisioned.  Canada Free Press has the story:

CNSNews.com is reporting that “a group of like-minded patriots, bound together by pride in American exceptionalism, plan on building an armed community to protect their liberty”.
“The group, named Citadel, intends to purchase 2,000 to 3,000 acres for the project in western Idaho. The community will comprise of 3,500 to 7,000 families of patriotic Americans who “voluntarily choose to live together in accordance with Thomas Jefferson’s ideal of Rightful Liberty.” (CNSNews, Jan. 12, 2013)

This is the first open defiance standing squarely in the way of Obama’s ongoing obsession to trash America and its revered Constitution in the face of an Obama-owned promise to fundamentally transform America, since the birth of the TEA Party. And it’s arrival in the Public Square came in advance of next week’s Big Gloat called Inauguration.

If the resistance of “Rightful Liberty” can be planted in acreage in western Idaho, it can be planted anywhere else in the fruited plain.

Patriots don’t have to be driven out of America, they can live out their lives on American soil in communities founded by patriotism.
People everywhere are beginning to realize just how radical Obama and the Democrats have become -- and to think of new ways to cope.

This is spitting distance from where we live. I'll be watching how it goes...

I wish Citadel the best, of course. They've got their work cut out for them. They are going to have to walk a fine line between establishing principles that they expect their inhabitants to assent to, without sinking into a hard-line ideology. Reacting against leftist tyranny, they must not fall into the trap of enforcing an opposite rigid authoritarianism.

Unless there is a whole network of such communities, each is vulnerable. By the order of one federal apparatchik or other, the community could be leveled to the ground in 10 minutes. And that's assuming that they get the necessary zoning and building permits and comply with EPA dictates.

But yes, it's a sign of the times, maybe a seed for good things to come.

I expect to see more of this kind of thing. In certain parts of America, there are many people who recognize the Obama regime for what it is.
