Julian Assange: Needs a Visit From the CIA |
Assange would be a traitor if he were a U.S. citizen. Since he isn't, he is merely a foreign enemy. I have to wonder why the CIA has done nothing to stop this cretin. Couldn't they extradite him from Sweden? Sue him? Lobby Sweden to shut him down? Surely they could get his website shut down, at the very least. They do nothing, however, and only publicly cringe at the revelations. There was a time when Assange would now be wearing cement shoes at the bottom of some lake. Ah, I do miss the good old days. Call me a traditionalist! I am so sentimental that way.
There is the possibility that it is the CIA itself who is providing a lot of the leaks; leaks of false information to confuse or mislead the enemy. The other possibility is that they are ineffective wimps, mirroring the incompetence of their leader.
I can only speak for myself, but I would dearly love to see Mr. Assange retired from the leaks business soon. Hey CIA, what do we pay you guys for anyway? Do your damn job.

AMEN to that! We are so much a like Pop. The first THING I thought of when I heard about this guy, is where the HELL is the CIA?!?!?! Can't somebody reach out and touch this guy? I mean what does it take? This little Liberal could get Americans killed and our Government does NOTHING!!
Yes, it does seem curious that our own government says and does nothing to stop this enemy.
Well, if the CIA can't hack it, having turned into a nest of bureaucrats and accountants, I'm sure the Mossad won't mind. After all, they haven't done anything super-awesome since, well, last month when they destroyed an Iranian Nuke facility with a freakin' virus! (Disclaimer - they have probably done dozens of super-awesome things since then, we just don't know about them. Technically, we don't even know who did the virus thing. Wink Wink.)
J'ai entendu cela Stogie et j'étais horrifiée ! Comment est-il possible en effet que cet homme ne fasse pas l'objet d'une arrestation ?

Anonymous, do I detect a note of disapproval over Mossad's actions? If so, I must state that any country has the right to defend itself against a declared enemy whose stated goal is your destruction. So I enthusiastically support Mossad and Israel.
As for accountants, they are infinitely more useful than say, paleoconservatives.

Kate says: I heard about that Stogie and I was horrified! How is it possible that this man has not been arrested?
Absolutely no disapproval of Israel or Mossad intended. I am a huge fan of both. If my Mossad admiration was so over the top that it sounded like sarcasm, I apologize. My intent was to contrast their courage and ability to take definitive action (aka "awesomeness") with the lack thereof in the US intellignece services under the current administration, the responsibility for which lies at the top of the organization. Assuming that it really was Israel (who knows?) I find it extraordinarily impressive that they managed to thwart Iran without firing a shot and without triggering a military confrontation, even more so than if they had managed to blow it up the normal way, which would have also been impressive given the total lack of support from their supposed ally the U.S. Also sorry about the "accountants" insinuation - I meant only the bad kind of accountants of course, not the good kind! :)
Same Anonymous: Thanks for clearing that up.
