Now I'm a Good Ol' Rebel: A Bitter Song of Southern Defeat

I've always liked this song, as it conveys the true feeling of defeat and despair that Confederate soldiers must have felt after Appomattox.  I don't agree with every verse -- I don't hate the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence, both of which were corrupted and ignored by Lincoln in his war of subjugation and conquest.  Most everything else I agree with, especially in these dark times of Southern cultural cleansing and repression.

Great song. I personally prefer the Hoyt Axton recording but I do wish it had the complete lyrics of Horton's.
