Incredible! Health Care Bill Forbids Any Amendment or Repeal
A section of the health care bill reads:
If the bill does indeed pass the legal challenges, it will be time to consider radical action, e.g. state nullification of the new law, a mass march on Washington, a general strike, mass civil disobedience, even secession of the red states if necessary.
"It shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment, or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection."In other words, the authors of this monstrosity seek to make it illegal to amend it or repeal it. They want to force it on an unwilling public and make it impossible for them to escape. Jim DeMint of South Carolina said that he found that "particularly troubling." He added:
"We will be passing a new law and at the same time creating a Senate rule that makes it out of order to amend or even repeal the law. I'm not even sure that it's constitutional."Fox News reports that numerous legal challenges to the bill are already being written. The bill may be dead on arrival as soon as it is passed. Of course, that assumes the Supreme Court will properly interpret and defend the Constitution, something they don't always do.
If the bill does indeed pass the legal challenges, it will be time to consider radical action, e.g. state nullification of the new law, a mass march on Washington, a general strike, mass civil disobedience, even secession of the red states if necessary.

President Obama's Interesting Choice of Words
WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama pressed Senate Democrats to close ranks quickly behind a deal that has disappointed some liberals, saying Tuesday lawmakers are "on the precipice of an achievement that has eluded Congresses and presidents for generations."The Prez was referring to the Democrats' tortured health bill, which may fall short of Obama's lofty socialist goals. Lacking the support he needs to ram through a "single-payer" or "public option" bill, Obama is now into face-saving mode with a watered down bill. The hard left of the Democrats are angry and want to kill the bill altogether.
On that point conservatives agree: kill the bill. It is still an unwelcome governmental intrusion into the private sector, for one thing, forcing insurance companies to cover "pre-existing conditions." That would either bankrupt the insurance companies or raise the price of insurance for everyone else.
Covering "pre-existing condtions" is like buying fire insurance after your house burns down and expecting the insurance company to cover your loss. Neat trick if you can do it. It's the same old, number one goal of the Democrats: to get something for nothing.
Obama is right about "being on the precipice," but it is no achievement.
Webster's definition of precipice:
1 : a very steep or overhanging place
2 : a hazardous situation; broadly : brink

Harry Reid's Body Double Found (Photos)
Following Senator Harry Reid's comparison of Republicans to slave holders in the ante-bellum South, I did a Google search of pictures of Senator Reid. I wanted to see what factors in Reid's background, intellect and personality would lead him to such a conclusion.I found it. See picture at left.

Joe Lieberman Moves Right
Joe Lieberman, Senator from Connecticut and a former Democrat, became an independent when his party booted him out for his views on Iraq. So much for the Democrat "Big Tent." Joe then ran for reelection as an independent, defeating the party-approved Democrat, and won.
Now Joe is saying that the public option in health insurance reform would be bad for the country and that he will filibuster the bill when it arrives in the Senate. He said:
Now Joe is saying that the public option in health insurance reform would be bad for the country and that he will filibuster the bill when it arrives in the Senate. He said:
“People, I think, who really want a single-payer system and government control of health insurance are using the public option as a nose under the tent, a camel’s nose under the tent,” he said, adding that, “they’ve got a right to that point of view – I think they’re wrong and I think it would be terrible for the country and for health care, so I’ve got to stop it.”Read it all here.

Lindsey Graham: "House Bill is Dead on Arrival to the Senate"
(CBS) Senator Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said the health care bill passed last night by the House of Representatives is "dead on arrival to the Senate."
Graham argued that the House bill was "written for liberals, by liberals.
"Just look at how it passed; it passed 220 to 215. It passed by two votes. You had [39] Democrats vote against the bill," Graham told "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer Sunday.
He also admitted that if it were to come down to it, he would join his independent colleague Senator Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., in filibustering a bill including the so-called public option should it come to the Senate floor.
"The House bill is a non-starter in the Senate," he added. "I just think the construct out of the House and what exists in the Senate is not going to pass, and I hope and pray it doesn't because it would be a disaster for the economy and health care," Graham concluded.Read it all here.

Pelosi's Health Care Bill Passes the House; On to the Senate
It's a dark day for American liberty. Just minutes ago, Pelosi's Health Care bill has passed the House and will move on to the Senate.
Rich Lowry just tweeted "the Bill is Passed -- never have those words been more unwelcome." Lowry adds that a House vote of 220 in favor will not give the bill a lot of momentum in the Senate.
John McCormack tweets "Good luck getting 60 in the Senate, suckas."
We lose this round but now we move on to the Senate.

Pelosi's Health Care Bill
Democrats hold 258 seats in the House and can afford 40 defections and still wind up with 218, a majority if all lawmakers vote. But all 177 Republicans were expected to vote "no," and Democratic leaders faced a series of complications trying to win the needed votes for their complex and controversial legislation that would affect one-sixth of the economy and touch the lives of countless Americans.Read it all here.

Michele Bachmann Calls for DC Rally Against Health Care Bill
This week the House is expected to debate Nancy Pelosi's 1,900 page health care bill. Michele Bachmann, Republican Senator from Minnesota, has called for a rally on the steps of the Capitol Building this Thursday, where she will hold a press conference. After that, the protesters who show up will enter the Capitol Building to confront politicians over the bill. This rally appears to be an impromptu Tea Party at the Capitol.

Town Hall Plants and Democrat Spin
The townhall meetings on nationalized health care have become raucous and angry. This reflects the majority's fear of a government run monopoly taking the place of their private health plans. The fears, based on actual experiences in Canada, the U.K. and other parts of the E.U., are real. However, the Democrats have armed their minions with the proper talking points and sent them out to opine, blog and editorialize on the publc groundswell of anger and anxiety. Their message: the public outrage isn't really based on a knowledge of Obamacare. It's caused by conservative pundits hawking falsehoods, especially Rush Limbaugh. In fact, the public opposition to Obamacare is really a subtle form of racism -- or so they would have you believe. The public isn't buying it, however.
The Democrats have tried to fight back in traditional Democrat fashion, by spinning, lying and planting their speakers and agents in the town hall meetings. A little girl is called on to opine about the mean signs outside the hall; she is later outted as a plant, i.e. someone who was set up to voice opinions and ask questions supplied in advance.
Union members show up posing as conservatives, carrying signs and posters depicting Obama as Hitler. Their goal is to provide propaganda for the MSM cameras: to foster a false impression of conservatives as kooks or extremists.
The Democrats, as usual, are a study in Machiavellian dirty tricks and poisoned politics. Be informed.
