Construction Worker Saves Woman From Raging River

It's always heart-warming when an average Joe rises to the occasion in an emergency and saves a life.
Jason Oglesbee is such a real-life hero. When a man and his wife's boat capsized in the Des Moines River, Oglesbee was suspended by a chain attached to a crane and lowered near the river's surface. When the woman, Patricia Neely, 67, was swept near him, he grabbed her and the construction crew pulled them both to safety.

Unfortunately, Mrs. Neely's husband, Alan Neely, 62, drowned before he could be rescued.

Oglesbee refused to take credit for the rescue, saying it was a team effort of the whole construction crew.
