Barack Obama's Passive Aggression

Passive aggression is a form of indirectly expressing anger, opposition or hostility.  Barack Obama appears to be taking a very passive-aggressive stance on a number of key issues lately, including illegal immigration and the collapse of Iraq.  Instead, he's drinking beer and playing pool in Colorado.  But what is passive aggression anyway?  Here's what Wikipedia says about it:

Passive-aggressive behavior is the indirect expression of hostility, such as through procrastination, sarcasm, stubbornness, sullenness, or deliberate or repeated failure to accomplish requested tasks for which one is (often explicitly) responsible.

For research purposes, the DSM-IV describes passive-aggressive personality disorder as a "pervasive pattern of negativistic attitudes and passive resistance to demands for adequate performance in social and occupational situations" [Italics added].

Passive aggression takes the form of passivity, a refusal to do what is expected, or by delaying or procrastinating in important tasks.  It can also be half-hearted performance of one's duties, performing them without energy or enthusiasm, i.e. by just "going through the motions."  It can also include withdrawal, a refusal to communicate with others.  Whatever form it takes, passive aggression is a form of resistance.  It is indirect sabotage of one's enemies -- like an employee who does a poor job or misses an important deadline, just to make his boss look bad.

Another example is the housewife and mother who lets the house become run down, dirty and chaotic, in order to punish her family.  Think piles of unwashed dishes in the sink, hampers overflowing with unwashed clothes, dust and dirt all over the floors of the house.  She is symbolically telling her family, I  don't like this job and I'm not going to do it anymore. Deal with it.

Barack Obama is being very passive-aggressive, watching America fall apart while he drinks beer at a pool hall in Colorado.  America no longer loves Obama, or believes in him or gives him his way on any and all issues.  Obama, perhaps feeling like a jilted lover, gets his revenge by letting the country go to hell, without any attempt to confront problems and solve them.  Like the housewife letting dirty dishes pile up in the sink, he allows the country to be flooded with illegal immigrants by doing nothing to stop them at the border.  You Republicans won't approve amnesty?  Okay, we'll let a flood of illegals come in.  You deal with it.

One can do much damage to his country (or his company, or family) by doing nothing when resolute action is required.  Obama is a man who refuses to do his job.  He should step down, or be removed from office.

Sgt Bowe Bergdahl: Hero or Deserter? Is His Father a Muslim?

President Barack Obama's latest stunt was to negotiate the release of an American prisoner, a soldier named Bowe Begdahl who walked off his base in Afghanistan in 2009, and was immediately captured by the Taliban  They kept him as their guest for the next five years.

Before Bergdahl deserted his post, he had sent several emails to his father, complaining about America's wars in the middle east and expressing doubt as to the rightness of our mission there.  The emerging picture suggests that Bergdahl deserted and was captured under dishonorable circumstances.

Obama traded five of the most rabid Taliban leaders at Gitmo for this one low level soldier.  He did so without giving Congress 30 days notice, as the law requires.  Once again, Obama acted alone and outside the law, and his actions may result in the deaths of more American soldiers once these Taliban leaders return to the fight.

Bergdahl's father, one Robert Bergdahl, appears to be a practicing Muslim, complete with skull cap and big hairy beard.  The elder Bergdahl visited the White House for Obama's announcement of his son's release, and immediately uttered an Islamic prayer in Arabic.  He later tweeted his wish that all Gitmo prisoners would be freed, and expressed his wish in a way that suggests favorable identification with their cause.  He tweeted:

@Balkhi I am still working to free all Guantanamo prisoners.  God will repay for the death of every Afghan child, ameen!

So the question that is obvious is this:  Did Obama trade five highly dangerous Taliban leaders for one unworthy US soldier, one that may be both a deserter and sympathetic to the enemy?

The Obamacare Disaster: Hope and Change, Bwa Ha Ha! #Obamacare

American Power has a post on Jonah Goldberg's schadenfreude for Obama's crashing failure, Obamacare.  Jonah Goldberg writes:

Because, frankly, this has been one of the most enjoyable political moments of my lifetime. I wake up in the morning and rush to find my just-delivered newspaper with a joyful expectation of worsening news so intense, I feel like Morgan Freeman should be narrating my trek to the front lawn. Indeed, not since Dan Rather handcuffed himself to a fraudulent typewriter, hurled it into the abyss, and saw his career plummet like Ted Kennedy was behind the wheel have I enjoyed a story more.

The arrogant, sophomoric moron in the oval office wouldn't compromise, wouldn't agree to delay the roll out of Obamacare, and acted like a tin-horn dictator to Republicans in Congress.  Now he owns this disaster all on his own and the Democrats look like a pack of fools.  It does my heart good.

"Hope and Change" has become "Dope Deranged."

Obama's Syrian Adventure

President Amateur Screwup really distinguished himself this week by threatening to bomb Syria.  No one else in the world wants to join in on the bomb-fest, Putin of Russia dissed the whole thing, Britain bowed out, even Prez Amateur's slavishly loyal Democrats in Congress have grave doubts as to the wisdom of the act.  Now we are hearing that Muslim fanatics all over the Middle East are plotting revenge scenarios if Obama goes through with it.

If there is any one incident that better illustrates the brazen incompetence of Barack Obama, the Syrian imbroglio has to be it.  And you, America, re-elected this schmuck.  Way to go.

The Job-Killing Obama Democrats and the "Occupy Wall Street" Protestors

There was an excellent editorial in the Wall Street Journal yesterday (hat tip View From the Right).  It's called What's Occupying Wall Street, and posits that the protestors have a point, but the wrong target.  The WSJ writes:

In the matter of Occupy Wall Street, the allegedly anticapitalist movement that's been camped out in lower Manhattan for the past few weeks and has inspired copycat protests from Boston to Los Angeles, we have some sympathy. Really? Well, yeah.

OK, not for the half-naked demonstrators, the ranting anti-Semites, Kanye West or anyone else who has helped make Occupy Wall Street a target for easy ridicule. But to the extent that the mainly young demonstrators have a valid complaint, it's that they are trying to bust their way into an economy where there is one job for every five job-seekers, and where youth unemployment runs north of 18%. That is a cause for frustration, if not outrage.

The question is, outrage at whom?

The article then goes on to describe the massive job loss in the financial services sector and how more layoffs there are expected, and how the economy was ruined, not by Wall Street, but by the federal government:

...if anyone in the Occupy Wall Street movement wants an intellectually honest explanation for why they can't find a job, they might start by considering what happens to an economy when the White House decides to make pinatas out of the financial-services industry (roughly 6%, or $828 billion, of U.S. GDP), the energy industry (about 7.5% of GDP, or $1 trillion), and millionaires and billionaires (who paid 20.4% of all federal income taxes in 2009). And don't forget the Administration's rhetorical volleys against individual companies like Anthem Blue Cross, AIG and Bank of America, or against Chrysler's bondholders, or various other alleged malefactors of wealth.

 That's right, hippie and commie morons.  If you want to continue your parasitical existence, i.e. taking more out of the economy than you put into it, you need to keep your host healthy.  Human mosquitoes [i.e. you]  can be tolerated when they suck only a few drops of blood out of the host, but when the drops of blood become buckets, the host dies.  When the host dies, the parasites die with it.

The problem for the have-nots of society is not that the haves took away their fair share of the goodies, but that the have-nots didn't earn a fair share in the first place.  If they want a job and the opportunity to advance in society, they need to get their heads out of their nether regions and accept the immutable truth:  the government destroyed the economy, not the private sector.  To make things better and to heal our sick economy, the first thing you can do is to vote Obama and the Democrats out of office in 2012.  As the Journal puts it:

Three years into the current Administration, most Americans are getting wise to the source of their economic woes. It's a couple hundred miles south of Wall Street.

If he will not resign, then he must be impeached.  In any case, if the USA is to survive, Barack Obama needs to vacate the Oval Office as soon as humanly possible.

Obama Needs to Lead, Follow or Get the Hell Out of the Way

There is an old army dictum that says one should "lead, follow or get the hell out of the way."  President Barack Obama has chosen not to do any of the three with regard to the war in Afghanistan.

The news story from Fox is captioned "Obama Rejects All Afghan War Options."

Obama's irresponsibility and incompetence are breathtaking.  He should resign the presidency.

Resistance to Obama Is Clearly Racism

My wife and I are getting older. I'm in great health but my wife is not: thyroid problems, problem heart, diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol that is off the charts. Our medical insurance runs about $1,000 a month, but we are happy with the service it provides. We also get a big break on prescription drugs through our HMO. This is good because my wife swallows more pills in a day than Timothy Leary.

Now with wifey's somewhat fragile health, we are not real enthusiastic about the chaos, red tape and expected government snafus during the changeover from what works to what is highly dubious. If you've ever dealt with the government on anything, you can appreciate the feeling. They're a monopoly; they have power to act arbitrarily; they are insensitive to your needs and could care less if you don't like the service. After all, you can't take your business elsewhere.

However, we have been outted by one Kathleen Parker who has shown our opposition for what it is, pure racism. Ann Coulter has the story. She writes:

The latest fake insider/whistleblower is Kathleen Parker, the Barry Lynn of the South. Fresh off her mainstream media tour as a Sarah Palin-hating "conservative," Parker is now a self-proclaimed Southerner blaming opposition to Obama's policies on the region's reputed racism.

Racism?? Naive me, I thought I opposed Obama because I'm afraid of him really screwing things up. Now I know, it must be because I'm a raging bigot.

The truth: Many Americans don't support the policies of a trendy campus radical with a bumper sticker ideology who has never run so much as a lemonade stand, to take over the economy and impose socialism on us. Socialism: you may know it by its other names, i.e. scarcity, poverty, rationing, astronomical taxes, raging inflation, heavy-handed government regulation and ultimately, national bankruptcy.

Of course, if Obama were a WHITE socialist, we'd say "Sign me up!" You see, we don't mind scarcity, rationing, poverty, despotism and despair, as long as the boot on our neck belongs to a white guy.

Obama: Worst President Ever?

This morning on the way to work I listened to my fellow grouchy curmudgeon, Lee Rodgers, of KSFO radio in San Francisco.  He was talking with a lady from Pajamas Media and he made a pithy observation:

If Obama isn't anti-American, he certainly is doing everything an anti-American would do to ruin the country.  He weakens the military at the same time he's apologizing to our friends and foes alike for our country being so rotten.   He's bankrupting the economy, appointing radicals to the bench and is now considering a new federal tax, a national sales tax.  No, this national sales tax won't replace the income tax, it will be in addition to the income tax.   

The new taxes will be needed to pay for universal health care, which will deteriorate badly once nationalized.  I do hope all of you Obama supporters are ready to pay through the nose.   Your lives, like ours, are going to get progressively worse.

Barack Obama is so irresponsible it's scary.  His latest insult to the Queen of England is a case in point.  They say she is fuming over not being invited to the D-Day ceremonies that Obama is planning.  One gets a strong impression that Obama has some kind of grudge against British royalty.   He never misses an opportunity to trample all over international protocol with muddy feet.  Maybe he should give the Queen noogies the next time he sees her, followed by a lot of rib tickling.  Then he could give Prince Charles a wedgie.  Such diplomacy has not been seen since Jimmy Carter planted one on on the Queen Mother.  Right on the smacker.

Obama is an unfolding disaster.  If that isn't clear to you yet, never fear:  it will be.

The Pirate Incident: Does Obama Deserve the Credit?

It seems there is a controversy over whether Obama is the hero or the zero of the U.S. Navy's rescue of Captain Richard Phillips from Somali pirates. The left is crowing that Obama has shown he's tough and has won his first military victory. They are also howling about how we "wingnuts" are trying to deny Obama the credit.

Yes, I do deny Obama the credit. He wasn't on the scene; he didn't give the order to fire; he didn't fire one of the weapons. "Oh, but he gave the order to fire, as the Commander In Chief!" No he didn't. All Obama did was to stay out of the way and allow the Navy to rely on standard Rules of Engagement, wherein they are preauthorized to kill terrorists who pose an imminent threat to the life of a captive.

If merely being the current occupant of the White House means Obama gets the credit, then he gets the credit, but I see it more of an administrative procedure than anything real. The success of the operation does not prove Obama's personal judgment, bravery, wisdom or decisiveness. If anything, he was indecisive as hell. The smartest thing he could have done, and finally did, was to allow the professionals to use their judgment at the scene. So for that, I can truly say, "well done, Obama. You didn't screw it up."

Obama should be judged for his military leadership based on the complete picture of what he is doing to promote U.S. security. And what is that? The answer is, not much. He is making deep cut in weapons systems and ending research into new weapon systems at a time when despotic regimes like China, Iran and North Korea are building up militarily. He is going around apologizing to world potentates for what an "arrogant" country he leads.

I'm perfectly willing to give Obama credit if he does something really good, something beyond minimal expectations, like the pirate episode. But we haven't see that yet. Frankly, given the nature of Obama's personal anti-military politics and philosophy, I don't expect to. I do hope I'm wrong.

Europe Losing Faith in Obama "He Faces a Public Relations Disaster"

According to Fox News, there is a growing impression across Europe that the Obama administration is inept and inefficient and increasingly poorly managed.

"I think as the president heads to Europe, he faces a huge public relations disaster," said Nile Gardiner, director of the conservative Heritage Foundation's Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom. "Europe is increasingly turning against his massive spending plans, which most European leaders see as a destructive way to move forward for the global economy and will only add to a massive American debt burden," Gardiner told FOXNews.com.

Barack Obama: Naive, Ignorant and Dangerously Incompetent

Barack Obama is the biggest jackass to insult the office of the Presidency since Jimmy Carter. What we said about him in the presidential campaign has proven completely true. He is naive, ignorant, inexperienced, and burdened with a radical left ideology that simply doesn't work in the real world. However, his massive shortcomings are exacerbated by his massive ego, fantasies and delusions. He is every bit the bad news we told you he would be, America; but in your self-delusion, you voted for the asshole anyway.

Scott Johnson at Power Line expresses it well in his post today, "Why I Am Depressed." He writes of Barack Obama

I am depressed because the president of the United States is a fool who will immiserate us, render us wards of the state and lose us our life and liberty to those [Iranian Mullas] who understand what they are about.

The president of the United States is a fool says everything that needs to be said. Those who voted for him are fools too, but that's already obvious.
