Elections have consequences.  There's a phrase we hear a lot these days.  And the disastrous consequences of Obama's re-election are becoming clearer by day.

Nasty little Democrats like Dick Durbin are saying that the Dems won't negotiate on spending.  They are just going to continue spending like drunken sailors on loco weed.  The wretched Harry Reid, who looks like that evil preacher in Poltergeist, is trying to get rid of the filibuster so his neo-Marxist party can continue to turn the USA into the next Venezuela (but without the oil).

According to Rush Limbaugh today, the Dems are again talking about seizing all private pension funds (like 401K's), nationalizing them so they can spend the money on more pork, welfare and entitlements, putting everyone on a government pension payment plan like Social Security, which as we all know is going broke.  So when the Dems do this, they will effectively be stealing the retirement of millions of people, exchanging those pension funds for worthless federal government IOU's.  (If this happens, it will undoubtedly be the trigger that launches the actual secession of various states and the shooting may start.)

My feeling is, if we are going to be transformed into a banana republic, why not act like one?  Here's hoping for a coup d'etat and summary executions of "progressives" in power, media and academia.  Okay, I wasn't really serious about the summary executions.  Concentration camps will do fine.  We can store them in Gitmo with the rest of the terrorists.

Am I joking?  Of course, but I have a legitimate point to make with this satire.  The Democrats have already dispensed with elections through massive vote fraud, partisan redistricting and disenfranchisement of the military.  They are dedicated to the acquisition of power through any means necessary; they are not committed to constitutional, representative, republican government.  So why would they object to a little thing like a coup?  It would just be taking Democrat tactics to the next level.

The Democrats' War On Democracy: Now Abusing the Recall Option

The Democrats are utterly ruthless in their desire for political power, and have used a number of devices for overturning elections that were not in their favor.  Their latest gambit will be to abuse the recall process, because they can't lose even if the effort fails:  they will have slimed their targeted Republican and force him/her to spend time and money combating the recall.

Democrat inability to prevail at the ballot box has led to tactics of desperation. Falling numbers of Democratic voters (the number of registered Democrats stands at just over 43% today, scarcely a plurality) have loosened the hold of Democratic political machines across the country, letting light and air into districts that have not been part of the country's culture of democracy for generations. As a result, we have seen the introduction of all sorts of novel electoral tactics, usually backroom stuff that would be familiar to Boss Tweed and Frank Hague: endless recounts spiced up by ballots appearing out of quantum black holes, opponents being denied places on the ballot by legal action (a Cook County special strongly endorsed by none other than Barack Obama), voting by felons and illegal immigrants. Frivolous recall elections are simply the latest of these.

The Bail-Out: Watching the Barbarians Ransack Rome

It is truly horrifying, but a bit surreal, watching the Democrats dismantle the country and the economy. I imagine it's sort of like watching the barbarians ransack Rome. The mighty Roman army is no longer able to stop them.

The Democrats must feel like those barbarians. Carry off the gold and silver, ravage the women, drink the wine! There's no one to stop them. No accountability, no deterrance, no consequences.

Or, it's like watching one of those movie westerns where a band of bad guys ride into town where there's no sheriff and shoot the place up, ride their horses into the saloon, guzzle whiskey from stolen bottles, break windows while hollering "Yahoo!" Find a tinhorn and make him dance by firing bullets at his feet. We the audience are so P.O.ed watching this and can hardly wait til Clint Eastwood shows up to put the bastards in their place. Only we don't have a Clint Eastwood in our current drama.

Or, it's like watching the pandemonium on the Titanic as the passgeners realize, finally, that the ship really is sinking and there are only a few more lifeboats left. I remember one of the passengers in the film saying, "We've been dealt a bad hand." And so we have. The U.S.S. Economy has hit an iceberg and all the Democrats are below decks with hand drills, making new holes in the keel to let in more water. That'll save us.

I feel like the rich gentlemen passengers on the Titanic who saw the pandemonium and quickly surmised that they were doomed. They didn't scream and shout and run around in circles. They just stayed at their table in the smoking lounge, playing cards and smoking cigars. They figured: it's over so screw it. Let the damn ship sink.

I know how they felt.

Update: I think I just figured out why I feel like doing nothing in light of this unfolding disaster. While a train wreck is happening, you can't do much about it. You have to wait until until the wreckage stops moving before you can survey the damage and come up with a repair plan. Until it does all you can do is duck.

The End of American Democracy: Expect Massive Voter Fraud

The Democrat Party has long practiced voter fraud. As long ago as 1960, John Fitzgerald Kennedy won a close race against Richard Nixon, with the help of voter fraud in Texas and Illinois. In Chicago the dead have long been active in voter registration and ballot casting.

Democrats have long resisted the requirement of a photo identification card for voters because they are the primary beneficiaries of voter fraud. The reports coming in around the blogosphere indicate that 2008 will be the most fraudulent election yet. Obama's old organization ACORN is involved in massive voter fraud across the nation, registering the homeless and youths multiple times. Swing states are especially targeted. The number of fraudulent registrations run to the tens of thousands.

If our Democracy has become a fraud, what remains? Civil war?
