A Terrible Year Comes to an End

2020 has been one of the worst years of my life.  I am glad to see it go.

In the next three weeks we may witness the most seditious act in US history, the swearing in of a false and fraudulent president, one who was not selected by the people or by an honest and accurate vote.  The left will have accomplished its long-held dream of overthrowing both freedom and free markets.  The United States will cease any pretense of being a legitimate country or a representative democracy.

My little brother died last February 27.  I have lost both my brother and my country.

How much more can I lose?

Another monstrous psychopath has mass murdered a large number of people, this time in Las Vegas.  A man in the Mandalay Bay Hotel broke out two windows in his suite, stuck a rifle out the window and opened fire on a large crowd of people.  The people were attending a country music concert, and easy targets from the shooter's elevated perch.

ISIS, the Muslim terrorist group who specializes in murder of innocents, has stated that the shooter was a recent convert to Islam.  However, this has not been verified at this point.

The biggest question in my mind is this:  how long before the Democrats begin making political hay out of the tragedy?  I expect they will call for banning of guns, one of their favorite goals, and will find a way to blame the tragedy on Trump.

If it is found that Islam and Muslims were a factor, expect nothing to be done about it.  Guns may be banned, but Muslims will not be.

The leftist Democrats are in all-out attack mode, determined to destroy Trump's presidency by any means necessary.  They created a huge lie, that Trump won the election over Hillary because his campaign colluded with the Russians somehow.  A special investigator has been appointed to continue looking into the charges, already several weeks old with not a shred of evidence.  However, whether it is true or not doesn't matter.  The Dirty Dems seek to create an impression in the minds of the public through insinuation.  The media is onboard, reporting the "investigation" as if there were any truth to it, and support the Big Lie with images such as that of Time Magazine on the left, which shows the White House merging with the Kremlin.  Sick!

Meanwhile, fake turncoat Republicans like John McCain are lending their voices in support, while despicable Democrats like Maxine Waters and Al Green publicly call for impeachment of Trump -- for what?  He has committed no "high crimes and misdemeanors."

The Dims have long practiced the "politics of personal destruction," ruining reputations with falsehood, innuendo and rumor.  Even though their target may be completely innocent, the idea is to create enough doubt in the minds of voters to give the Dimocrat candidates the edge.  Other observers have called the current Democrat pogrom a "soft coup d'etat."  The Democrats seek to ruin a president based on slanderous fabrications.  I almost wish for a new Civil War.

In other fronts, a domestic Democrat terrorist group called "Antifa" is showing up at all Republican and conservative political events to beat up, harass and injure the Republican participants.  Antifa likes to carry signs that say "Fuck Off Nazi Scum!"  So we are now Nazis, because they say so.

This is similar to the recent unhinged attacks on Confederate monuments in New Orleans, where the monuments are described as "monuments to white supremacy and oppression."  Any who support the monuments are, of course, "racists."  The baby-faced, bald Marxist Mayor Mitch Landrieu has been removing these monuments in the face of strong opposition, even sending workers in bullet proof vests, helmets and masks, to dismantle the monuments.  This, while a SWAT team overlooks the destruction with loaded rifles.  A more blatant example of leftist fascism is hard to imagine -- crushing the will of the people by brute force, and with total disregard to their feelings or opinions.

There are a lot of lies coming out of Democrat websites.  One of these was that Mike Pence, the Republican VP candidate, was so outraged over the sex talk tape, that he was planning to leave the Trump ticket.   The story is false.

Another lie is that the Republican higher-ups are meeting secretly to replace Trump with another candidate.  This too is untrue.

We are being barraged with outrageous rumors and lies in order to demoralize us and keep us away from the polls.  Don't fall for it.

Two Democrat Post-Midterm Strategies: False and Destructive, As Always

The Democrats are seeking to regain political traction after their historic losses in the recent midterm elections.  Two memes are becoming obvious.

One meme is that, omigod, the CIA tortured Islamic terrorists during the Bush Administration.  They fed Ensure to one poor wretch, whose only crime was that he masterminded the 9/11 attacks on New York and the Pentagon.  What horrible torture!  Oh yes, they even waterboarded him and two others.  Shame, shame!

Today they are having congressional hearings about these terrible crimes.  Diane Feinstein is faking outrage at such inhospitable treatment of these poor genocidal terrorists.

What's the purpose of this meme?  To sow shame among Americans and indirectly slam Republicans, since Bush was in power when these horrible sins happened.  Feinstein and Co aren't seeking to apologize to the world for Americans in general, they are seeking to apologize for Republican rule.

The other meme is that blacks are being slaughtered in the streets by racist white cops.  This meme is not only false, it is destructive of social peace, and may help to incite the race war some have warned about.  The latest example is that of idiots wearing T-Shirts that read "I Can't Breathe," referencing the death of Eric Garner who died after being put in a chokehold by police.  Garner's death was tragic, and may have been the result of police error or even incompetence, but it certainly wasn't racially motivated in any way.

Some radical black leaders have promised massive demonstrations all across the US to protest this mythical racism.  If they can make a pretense of civil unrest, they may scare the public into restoring the Democrat Socialists to power.

The real reason for this new "racist" meme is simple:  to keep blacks on the Democrat plantation, which has been increasingly difficult as many realize that Obama's presidency has hurt them badly.

Austin DA's Office: A Cauldron of Malicious Prosecution #IStandWithRickPerry

Austin, unlike the rest of Texas, is a college town and a cesspool of far left ideology and activism.  The Office of the District Attorney there  (in Travis County) investigates and prosecutes crimes related to the operation of the Texas state government.  Apparently, one of the crimes the office prosecutes is being a Republican.

Governor Rick Perry of Texas is the latest victim of the hyper-partisan DA's office in Austin, being indicted by an Austin Grand Jury for abuse of power in vetoing an appropriations bill that would continue funding that very same DA Office.  Perry had warned that he would veto the bill unless the current DA there, one Rosemany Lehmberg, resigned.  Lehmberg had been convicted of drunk driving in April 2013, and Perry thought she had disgraced her office and should be replaced; however, Lehmberg refused to resign.

Hence, payback time:  the Democrats cooked up an indictment of Perry that is so transparent that even prominent liberals and Democrats are expressing dismay.  Perry was indicted for "abuse of office" and "attempting to coerce a public official."  Patterico describes the applicable state laws and why they do not apply to the Perry situation, here.

This latest abuse of the legal system by the Austin DA is nothing new.  The Austin DA Office, under former DA Ronnie Earle, falsely indicted prominent Republicans in the past, on trumped up charges.  A couple of examples are below.

Earle filed charges against Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, then Texas State Treasurer, for allegedly misusing state telephones and allegedly assaulting a staffer. Earle attempted to drop the charges on the first day in court — in fact, at the pre-trial hearing — after the judge in the case questioned the admissibility of his evidence. The judge refused to allow it, instructing the jury to return a "not guilty" verdict so the charge could not be brought against her again.

Tom Delay was prosecuted for "money laundering," for collecting corporate political donations that he turned over to the Republican National Committee, who in turn used the funds to support Texas Republicans.  Here is what I wrote about the prosecution of Tom Delay:

Tom Delay was undoubtedly the pinnacle of this cretin[Ronnie Earle]'s shameful career, in that he was able to obtain an indictment of Tom Delay, after shopping eight different Grand Juries, and then tried Delay in the leftist enclave of Austin, Texas, where Delay was wrongly convicted of "money laundering," for obtaining contributions for Texas Republican candidates. Delay was forced to resign from Congress, and was sentenced to three years in jail for the alleged crime. His attorneys immediately appealed the 2010 conviction, and the case slowly wound through the appeals process.

On September 19, 2013, Delay's nightmare was ended when the Texas Appeals Court reversed the conviction, stating that there was no evidence to convict, and that the indictment should never have been brought in the first place. Delay was therefore formerly acquitted of the charges.  Ronnie Earle's dishonorable and disgraceful abuse of the justice system had its intended effect: Delay's political career was ended, his reputation unfairly tainted by the false charges, and he was forced to spend great sums of money to avoid jail time from the absurd conviction.

Ronnie Earle is the personification of the...Democrat Party, where any behavior is judged merely by its success in defeating Republicans, no matter how ruthless, dishonest, dishonorable or corrupt the tactics. Destroying careers and lives of political opponents is par for the course, as is stealing elections through voter fraud and other schemes.

It is time for Texans to shut down the Austin DA Office as the prosecuting arm of corruption in Texas, and move that function elsewhere, to a saner location.  The hyper-partisan City of Austin is incapable of fairly and evenly applying the law to Republicans.

Romney Needs to Get Off His Ass and Fight

Any man or woman who seeks the Republican nomination has a duty:  he must do everything possible to win the general election.  A less than full effort is a betrayal to the people who nominated him in the first place.

Now we have another fine "gentleman" in Mitt Romney, who is just above all the nastiness.  Yes, a man in a fine suit with Emily Post manners who never gets his hair mussed is just too elegant to dirty himself with tactics that actually win.  That worked so well with John McCain, didn't it?

Now the pot-smoking radical college sophomore, one Barack Obama, is ready to mud-wrestle:  he's accused Romney of killing a woman (a brazen lie) and has stated that Bain Capital, where Romney worked, was funded through terrorist drug money!  The claims are so absurd that they belong in Mad Magazine rather than the New York Times.  Romney's milque-toast response (delivered by one Andrea Schull) to the "killed woman" (who died of cancer):  "Well if she had lived in Massachusetts, she would have had medical care."

Brilliant!  The Romney camp's response was to issue an argument for Obamacare!  ("Du-u-uhh, what town am I in?  What day is it?")

The truth is that Mrs. Soptic was diagnosed with cancer and died very soon thereafter.  Her diagnosis came too late.  No amount of free medical care would have saved her.

Mitt Romney needs to launch an effective counter-attack.  Right now he seems weak, ineffective and out of touch, like a Sunday School preacher invited to a cock fight.

WAKE UP ROMNEY.  It is time to mount an effective strategy and counterattack to WIN.  It wouldn't hurt to find a good VP candidate as well.  Time is of the essence!

Ethics Charges Against Gingrich Were a Democrat Sham

Back in 1994, the Democrats were very angry at Newt Gingrich for engineering the Republican take-down that year, resulting in large Republican majorities for the first time in many years.  The Dems do what Dems do best, namely, dirty politics.  A phone ethics charge was lodged against Gingrich, for which Gingrich was ultimately exonerated...but not before the Democrat media machine has broadcast the phony charges far and wide.   The facts of Newt's exoneration were not so enthusiastically reported, often buried in the back pages of major newspapers.

Politics Are Unbelievably Dirty, Rotten and Ruthless: How To Fight Back Peacefully

The Norway tragedy has really fixed in my mind just how dirty, rotten and ruthless politics have become.  Someone once said that "politics is war by other means," and the left and the Democrats have taken that concept to a new level.

Jared Loughner, a deranged individual, shoots and kills people in Arizona and his crime is blamed on conservatives and Republicans.  However, conservatives and Republicans had nothing to do with it.  The left, displaying a level of cynicism and ruthlessness beyond anything I've seen previously, exploit a tragedy to smear their political opponents.

Now Anders Breivik, a deranged individual, shoots and kills people in Norway and once again, his crime is blamed on conservatives and Republicans and Islamic scholars who have written about Islam.  Not only do the standard party rank and file repeat these smears, but they are printed as editorials in leading liberal newspapers like the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times.  If Breivik agreed with something an author wrote, then that author is responsible for Breivik's shooting spree.  Of course, Breivik also agreed with (and quoted) articles in both the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times, but this is not mentioned.

Breivik stated that he had become convinced that debate and democracy no longer worked, that violence was the only option for stopping the left's destruction of western civilization.  In this, he was partially correct:  debate and democracy only work when there is a fair and objective discussion of issues and alternatives.  When one side is as dishonest and as ruthless as the left/Democrats, when the well of public opinion is constantly poisoned by smear and the politics of personal destruction, then democracy doesn't work so well.  It is easy to see how many conservatives might despair at the current political environment and consider fighting fire with fire.  However, in order to fight evil, one must not become evil himself.

This is where Breivik was wrong was in his solution.  His mass murder and violence, over and above being evil, immoral and insane, only strengthens the left by giving them new propaganda to disseminate. Radical solutions may become necessary to escape the tyranny of socialism, multiculturalism and Islamization, but there are non-violent ways to do that.  Further, such solutions must be undertaken by large groups of citizens and their legislative representatives, not by individuals perpetrating violence.

State nullification of unconstitutional laws can be pursued. Secession of states and countries from unions like the European Union (and even the United States) can be pursued; companies can be moved to freer economies, taking their jobs and tax revenues with them; and by mass demonstrations (e.g. the Tea Parties) and even civil disobedience.  We, as private citizens, can simply refuse to go along.  That was the concept in the novel "Atlas Shrugged."  Those who produce and thereby feed the statist monster can starve the monster by refusing to produce.   There is much we can do to effectively fight the left and its propaganda, and none of it requires violence.

French Conservative and Anti-Islamization Movements Ignored by the Press

I received the following message from reader Atikva, who is French but now a citizen of the United States.  It demonstrates that the tactics of the mainstream media are the same in France as in the U.S.:  ignore all events that do not further the leftist agenda.

On June 18, 2010 at a rally in the place de l'Etoile, to protest against the islamisation of France, gathered about 2,000 people. Not one political or famous personality was present, not one. The only reason why it was at all reported by a few media was due to the fact that the municipality's decision to ban the "Apéritif géant" had made headlines the previous days - but they downplayed the number of participants to 800. 

The following day, some 10,000 Chinese living in Paris took to the streets to protest against the attacks by young muslims they have had to endure for too long in the districts where they live - not a peep from the media. Again, a few days later, there was yet another rally of some 15,000 people in favor of Gilad Shalit (he has double nationality, Israeli and French). The media were mum again. 

The French media follow the same leftist tactics than the US media when it comes to any action by "we the people": they ignore it or minimize it, and those who would join the resistance have no way of getting organized. 

It doesn't mean that the French are not fed up and willing to fight to recover their independence, but short of starting a civil war they have no means of reversing the trend - not one valid candidate for whom to vote, no recourse to referendum (vetoed by government), and the dictum of the European Community to hamper any attempt at reversing the deadly trend.

Stogie, there are no frontiers any more between members of the European Union, and the latter has decreed that immigration from "developing countries" was a good thing. Even if the French government wanted to stop the invasion, it couldn't close the country's borders and the immigrants would continue to pour in from other European countries. And the EU has just asked Switzerland, who is not even a member, to ignore the vote of the Swiss people on the erection of minarets, just to show how impossible it has become for the EU members to protect their own countries!

Paypal Punishing Conservative Opinion by Withholding Services?

UPDATE:  Perhaps in response to a large outpouring of support for Atlas Shrugs, Paypal has reversed its classification of Atlas Shrugs as a "hate site."  However, Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs says she will not go  back to using Paypal to receive online payments.  She will begin using GPal instead.

I would like to strenuously protest your recent, ill-advised cancellation of Pamela Geller’s account at Paypal, under the totally erroneous notion that her website is a “hate site.”

I am a Paypal user and I read “Atlas Shrugs” every day.  Atlas Shrugs is a political site with a conservative point of view; that does not make it a “hate site” except in the lexicons of the far left and violent fanatics of the Islamic religion.  I assume you were contacted by a bevy of leftists or Muslim readers in a concerted effort to punish Geller for her views, views by the way, that I and many others share.

It is a tactic of the far left and other political extremists to label legitimate opposition as “racist” or “hateful” in order to discredit them.  In the past, before Google and other companies got wise to the tactic, conservative blogs and websites were shut down based on these false charges.   This kind of activity is merely dirty politics and dirty pool.   You should get wise to it right away and not allow Paypal to be used as a political tool by ruthless operatives.

Our views are mainstream, do not preach violence or hatred, but indeed, confront and oppose both violence and hatred.  Geller specifically documents and reports on Muslim honor killings throughout the world, where young women are murdered by their families for marrying an unapproved spouse, for acting “too Western,” or for even being suspected of a romantic dalliance.  The problem is widespread throughout the Muslim world,  and has recently become a western problem as well due to Islamic immigration.  Geller’s goal is to save the lives of these women, and that is the reason also of her “Leaving Islam?” advertising campaign.   Her goal is to save lives.  Do you have a problem with that?

I urge you to reverse this ban immediately.  The conservative blogosphere is united on this and we have an extensive readership, with ties to major news outlets like Fox.  I can almost guarantee you that this controversy will make it to the television airwaves soon, and it will not present Paypal in a favorable light.

I have been planning to add a Paypal button to my own website, but now I will wait until this controversy is resolved, or I will look for alternative means of receiving payments.  Unfortunately, Paypal appears to be a monopoly in furnishing this mode of online bank transactions.  For that reason, Paypal has a strong responsibility not to abuse its position by punishing legitimate political opinion by withholding services.

On Right-Wing "Hate": Don't Take the Democrat Bait

Answer a question for me.  Will you agree to stop beating your wife?  Yes or no.  Why won't you answer?  Well there you have it folks.  Mr. Reader has REFUSED to stop beating his wife.  YOU CUR!  You LOWLIFE!  Have you no SHAME?

Hey wait a minute!  You might object to the question because it implies guilt on your part.  No matter how you answer it, you are found guilty.  It is a question designed to put you on the defensive, to make you sweat and look bad.

Democrat operatives know this trick well.  Consider this.

MoveOn.Org, is planning a rally outside of Republican headquarters tomorrow to "condemn the hate."  What hate?  First off, no one has proven that there is any problem with Republican "hate" that requires a rally.  MoveOn's rally is built on a false premise and they know it.  The schemes and subterfuges of the Left are so transparent it is positively embarrassing.  In the political arena, hate is prominent and vicious from the Left, but far more scarce and muted on the Right.  

MoveOn.org's gambit is not to "condemn the hate," but to insinuate into the public mind that conservatives are dangerous crazies who are boiling with rage, ready to go postal at any minute.  The falling popularity of Democrats and the success of the Tea Parties are not the result of widespread opposition to Obama's radical policies. No, they are the result of some baseless and inexplicable "hate."  

When Democrat pundits and reporters ask GOP and Tea Party leaders to "condemn the hate,"  they are really asking for a tacit admission that the charge is true, that "hate" is a major problem on the Right.  Conservatives cannot and should not give credence to the false charge.  They must not become unwilling stooges in the Left's bogus drama.

If you are new to politics, this latest initiative by the Left should prove instructive.  Politics are largely a mind-game and often the game gets dirty.  Don't fall for it.

It Begins: Democrats in NY-23 Allegedly Call Police on Hoffman Supporters

There are unconfirmed reports coming from leftist sources such as the NY Daily News and Crooks, Liars and Cowards that Hoffman supporters have been electioneering too close to polling places, and "yelling anti-choice stuff at voters."  It sounds like another Democrat dirty trick to me:  they are setting up excuses for their presumed loss in this election, like they did in Florida in 2000 when blacks were allegedly barred from getting to the polls (later proven to be untrue).

A Note to Black Conservatives

I have noted, with happiness and satisfaction, the growing number of blacks who identify themselves and who blog as conservatives.  Since blacks and other minorities have long been a Democrat constituency, the left is concerned about it.   This is one of the reasons that they seek to categorize all Republican and conservative thought as somehow based on racism, white supremacy and race hatred.

Don't be fooled by these obnoxious phonies.  They don't mind keeping the black/white divide in full operation, with all its racial mistrust and suspicion.  The idea is to drive into the minds of black people, with constant repetition, their racial message to, at the very least, sow seeds of doubt.  Racial healing is bad for the Democrats; it must not be allowed to succeed, or they lose one of their primary bogey men.  The Rude News blog this week put it this way:  "The Race Card -- don't be a liberal without it."

Why do the Democrats do this?  Simple.  They don't have any strong counter arguments in support of socialism and appeasement, high taxes and huge government.  So they resort to slander.

If they can plant the seeds of doubt in your mind about your newly-chosen political loyalties, they will have won.  If you stay at home on election day they will have accomplished what they sought out to do.  Don't buy their race-baiting crap.  They are not your friends.

Rush Limbaugh on "Segregated Buses"; Mark Potok & the Southern Poverty Law Center

The left is trying to manufacture a new bogus controversy over Rush Limbaugh's "racism." Once again they have taken his remarks out of context and presented them as if Rush meant them literally. This time it was because Rush sarcastically remarked that maybe we should bring back segregated buses so white kids wouldn't insult black thugs by their very existence.

Today leftist blogs are having a feeding frenzy over the non-fact that Rush Limbaugh has "called for segregated buses."  The usual suspects have weighed in, including Crazy Chucky at Little Green Goofballs and Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Libel Center. (I notice that Chucky's remarks indicate that he is feeling the heat from the conservative boycott of his site.)

One good thing that has come out of this latest leftwing slime attack is that Rush has taken off the gloves and described Mark Potok for the phony scam artist and libelous liar that he is.

He was asked if he shares Pelosi's concerns over the wave of violence we all know is just waiting to break out.

DEAN:  There's a lot of money to be made in passing out hate of the kind that Rush Limbaugh is just doing.  Rush Limbaugh, look, he's always an entertainer, but he's way over the line.  And this is a long -- there's a long, unfortunate American tradition of this, going back to Father Coughlin and people before that. Just in... They appeal to the very worst in people.  They appeal to the -- to, uhh, the side of all of us that is about anger and fear and hatred, and they empower it, and it is an evil thing to do, and it's very, very bad for the country. But for a long time these people have put themselves and their wallets way ahead of America.  They pretend to be patriots, but they're not patriotic at all.

RUSH: There you have it. (laughing) Dr. Howard Dean, the former leader of the Democrat National Committee. See, they're setting this up. They've been desiring to write this story for 18 or 19 years now. They do it. Even when it's not true, they write it. "Limbaugh! Limbaugh inspires violence, angry white men." Yeah, to oppose health care, not only is it racist now, it's unpatriotic to oppose socialized medicine. (laughing) These people are kooks. They're nuts. Now let's go to this Potok kook. This guy is a genuine, off-the-wall lunatic. He's at the Southern Poverty Law Center. He was on Hardboiled last night with Chris Matthews. And this guy Potok is an embarrassment of a human being. He's claiming that I actually want segregation on buses. (laughing) Matthews said, "What is it in the atmosphere allows a person to feel comfortable showing up at a political event carrying a gun? Maybe two guns, letting people know they're armed? What is it in the atmosphere that let's a person bring a sign that compares the president to an animal or to a Nazi?" Chris, Pelosi got the Nazi thing going, dude! "What is it that makes them feel comfortable doing that kind of crap in public, Mark? I wonder if it isn't the atmosphere of language that's being used today. Your thoughts, sir, Mark Potok?"

POTOK: Yesterday Rush Limbaugh was on the air talking about an incident in which black kids attacked a white kid on a school bus, an incident the police said was not racially motivated and saying that what we need are segregated buses -- that this is the only way, I suppose, that white people can be protected from black people. I think when we have characters like Limbaugh saying that on the air to millions of Americans, many of whom actually revere the man, you know, it's not surprising that people feel that, uh, you know, the race wars around the corner and that, uh, we're allowed to say these kinds of things.

RUSH: It's incredible. (laughing) This whole race tumult is being orchestrated and run out of the White House straight out of Rahm Emanuel and Axelrod's office. They are promoting it; they are encouraging it. Isn't it amazing? You have black kids who beat up a white kid on a school bus. That's not racism. You have half the country criticizing a socialist health care plan, and that is racism. Okay, so you there heard this despicable embarrassment of a human being, Mark Potok, from the Southern Poverty Law Center's Intelligence Project. Now, here's the comment I made in context, in response to a caller, obviously not a call for segregation.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. Hey, I just was commenting on the Belleville incident with the kids on the bus. You're right. They did report that last night as being racially motivated, but I just heard the news before your show started and the police chief over -- I think he was a police chief, some law enforcement -- there said that after further investigation of it would be not racially motivated. He said he should have been more professional before he commented on it and investigated it more before he decided and stated that it was racially motivated.

RUSH: Well, did he say why, in Obama's America, that incident with the white kid getting beat up on the black school bus was not racially motivated?

CALLER: I didn't hear him comment about that. No, sir.

RUSH: Because we've seen the videotape. Have you seen the videotape?

CALLER: Oh, yeah, sure.

RUSH: We can't hear what's being said.

CALLER: No.

RUSH: So we don't know what obvious taunts this lone white student was dishing out to the whole bus.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: We don't know what obvious taunts.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: Worse than the obvious verbal taunts, we all know the racism that was in the kid's mind. I mean Newsweek magazine says he was born a racist. So you know the white kid is sitting there thinking N-word and all kinds of things being surrounded by these black students. They knew that. They knew that and so they just descended on the kid and beat him up. We've seen the videotape. What did the police chief investigate?

CALLER: He did not comment on anything other than he said more investigations shows that it was not racially motivated.

RUSH: I think the guy is wrong. I think not only was it racism, it's justifiable racism.

CALLER: True.

RUSH: I mean, that's the lesson that we're being taught here today. Kid shouldn't have been on the bus anyway.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: We need segregated buses. It was invading of space and so forth. This is Obama's America.

RUSH: So I'm doing a total parodic rant. I mean, the sarcasm is dripping -- And this bottom feeder at the Southern Poverty Law Center, Mark Potok, is putting it out there that I made a call for segregated buses.

On Hoisting the Black Flag

For me, it's been a nasty couple of days blogging.  The left is so foul, so vile, so mendacious (oh hell, strike the pussy language. They're a bunch of damn liars).

In any case, my anger has been rising to a very ugly level so I need to take a breath and step back.  I stopped in at a blog by someone with the improbable name of Matthew Yglesias (sounds like a terrorist) where the liberal pussies were trashing the Confederate flag and I let them have it, both barrels.  They are cowardly, unmanly ignoramuses who dream of having a big government tit to suck on so they won't have to do any actual work or be responsible for themselves.  They call themselves "the Reality Based Community."  What a monstrous falsehood!  These fools haven't a clue as to how the world works or why.  "Reality-based" my foot.

Well anyway, you can see by my inelegant language that I am really in a foul mood.  I am reminded of two quotes from that lovable iconoclast, H.L. Mencken:

1.  The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it. And even if he is not romantic personally he is very apt to spread discontent among those who are.

2.  Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

Number 2 is probably ascendant in my thoughts just now.  It's probably illegal, so instead of doing that, I think I will just go to bed.   Maybe things will look better in the morning.

An Example of "Racist" Activities by Sons of Confederate Veterans

I just received this email from an SCV Camp Commander.  He describes the "right wing, racist" activity to which "Crooks, Liars and Cowards" so strenuously objected.

Gents,
We are cleared for the gravesite marker ceremony for Major Joseph Vaughn at the Benicia Cemetery in Benicia at 10:00AM, Saturday October 10th. If any of you know renactors that could participate in the rifle squad, Color Guard, or play Taps, please contact them and me. As I mentioned before, Joseph Vaughn left Benicia in 1862 to join the 6th Infantry Regiment of the Confederate States Army and was promoted through the ranks from Private to eventually attain the rank of Major. Major Vaughn was killed on the battlefield leading his Regiment at the Battle of Corinth, Mississippi, the third of October 1862. I will bring his Bronze VA marker to the Camp meeting on Saturday tomorrow. Lou Olker, Commander

We are all so lucky to have David Neiwert of "Crooks and Liars" standing guard over the public to protect us all from such nefarious activities.   Kudos also to the Southern Poverty Law Center for denouncing the Sons, as well as everything else that moves, as "raaaacists."   One can't be too careful these days.  The only way to make sure you get all the racists is to just get everybody.  Taking a page from General Sherman, who said "Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out," the SPLC operates under the dictum, "Slime 'em all and let God sort 'em out!"

It takes a really big slime bucket but somebody's got to do it.
